Surely the highest risk is damage? Therefore 2 mid priced lights like the Fluxient at £65-£80 cuts your costs and as Binners has already said you need 2 lights,so why spend more??? I can see what you are saying but not everyone has the budget.

TG wanna sell the fluxient? 😉

Agreed I wouldn’t trust the £20 kits, some reveiwers charge their batts in saucepans in case of ignition, surely not a reccomendation then!

The fluxient is around £70 and so far has been perfect, not all lights are solar storm etc.No disrespect but pretty much all leds are from china inc the repacked UK versions.Surely anybody worried about light failure would have 2, bars and head therefore not leaving themselves in the situation Binners did? 😉

+1 Fluxient, have a search for them on amazon and you should find Torchy.

Just looking back at my posts and it should be parallel as stated by Wobbli!!! Apologies for adding to the confusion, note to self must try to think first.

It is series,or hokey cokey (in/out/in….)

Why low voltage? Go 240v (no transformers to buy/blow) and wire in series, piece of cake.

Best to check the manufacturers instructions to see if your situation complies, then go from there.

Do you think it is worth a setup session at my lbs? I am 5’8″ and feel like I could do with longer cranks, currently 175mm so not much hope of that without arriving in Rock Strike Central. It is a medium frame ,which I thought should be right, but am wondering if a large would help?

Its the newer 2012 model, like I say I am just trying to give myself as much help as I can!

Well it started off at 42/27 upfront so was fairly leggy, good fun but hard work and a lot of changing! Was torn between 36/24 and 38/26, went for the latter but am now thinking of trying a 24t granny.I usually climb seated as much as I can, and still find I get caught out with the front lifting, practice, practice! I am in no rush to change bikes but think you are right and I should try as many as I can. Thanks for the replies.

I like the comfort of the fs,and if I had to choose then I will never get up those steep bits and my back will like me!I am more than happy with the bike I have but just think if I dont try I will never know. Would it be worth trying a lockable rear shock?

Hi Khani, I dont have a great deal of bikes to compare with,I have ridden a mates Camber 29er and as a mile muncher it works but it is like riding a sofa, really seems to numb the experience.I would like to try and keep the price as low as possible so a used frame would probably fit my needs, making use of the bits from the Boardman.I seem to struggle with steep inclines, which I am sure is down to my technique/fitness, but if I can help myself with better/more suitable kit then why not? On the other hand (and at the risk of a ban) I would like to try a 650b, just to get it out of the way you understand!

Word of advice, for this scenario only, when using a strap on apply solvent adhesive or you will weep! Ironically the same will happen in any other strap on/adhesive activity…..do not get confused.

As already said, once fitted the boiler should be atleast gas rated and a flue gas analysis carried out to within the manufacturers specs, good luck mate and hope you get sorted quick! I do this for a living and spend most of my time freezing coz the boilers I go to are usually bust.

Probably best to ask your neighbours what they think.Does your insurance cover it?

    divenwob

Ok what I meant is some models require setting up with a F.G.A,please check the full sequence needed for your exact boiler.I think you will find that the answer is get an RGI to do it and check it properly. Why can your plumber not sort it before next week, surely you can get it and HE can fit it and check it.

Jacked the fags in June this year after smoking 20+ a day for 30 years.First few days were a kick in the arse, amazing how much time you spend having a smoke, found myself going outside, patting my pockets then remembering I didnt smoke and returning inside! It is a shit habit with absolutely NO benefits, make a list of all that is good about it.Still trying to sort out my breathing when on the bike, but feel soo much better.
Anyone can stop, you have to be in the right state of mind to succeed, all the best!

You cant really go wrong with either WB or vaillant, personally fit WB and have had no issues whatsoever.Mega important to make sure whatever you have is installed correctly, corner cutting will make for high failure rates so make sure it is by the book.

Seems some feel they have the right of way in any given situation.
