I don't like Hareems much either. Reckon Carine Roitfeld would be the only person able to make them look good. Although I feel and probably look as though I have had an accident in my padded biking shorts 😀 – I loathe making my arse look any bigger grr!
You've had some great advice here – I hope you don't give up but maybe just take a break for as long as it takes to get the urge back again. I've only just started biking and I'm crap – it's a bit disheartening and I feel like giving up – I had a bad fall 3 weeks ago which hasn't helped my confidence either. I have to ride alone most of the time but I've joined a couple of clubs and hope to get going on the some social rides – although that's bringing a whole new set of worries about being able to keep up etc. I'd go riding with you – I'm finding it very hard to find other females or anyone really, to ride with – it's a shame you're so far away.
I love my Nespresso machine – started with a basic model about 4-5 years ago and now have upgraded to fancier model with coffee gubbins and thingie for frothing/heating milk for latte and cappuccinos. I still have a basic coffee pot that bubbles up on the hob and I used to have a hand-pumped Gaggia machine and would make coffee from freshly ground beans etc but love the easy cop out of the capsule system now <lazy> 🙂
I went to Isola 2000 a couple of times this summer, we hired bikes and went up in a bubble lift (my profile pic!), down via the VTT routes – it was great although I had a bad crash at the bottom 🙁
Shall we wear carnations Trampus 🙂 how will I know it's you?? To segue neatly back on topic, I'll have my 24 year old guide with me. He could be younger actually haha
I'm aiming for 10 hours – it's a training session for a fast National 3 Peaks the following weekend. Can't wait. Means setting off in my car at 5am though for a 7am start 🙁 Then the drive back afterwards.
Tracey – that Bike Verbier website looks amazing – I'm not quite up to that standard yet – I'm very much a newbie to mtb. Your Above Derwent photos on your blog – you have a link to that route, is it very technical? <sorry for the hijack>
You a member of Costco? They have a good photo book service and you download the software so it's all done from home, even the completed book is posted out to you. Seemed good value too at the time but there may have been an offer on.
