Divagirl, we have a regular Wednesday night ride in Delamere. There’s a range of abilities and usually a good selection of cake on offer too!
We usually post up on our facebook page (though we don’t put the start point up there) or give the shop a bell on 01928 898011.
The more the merrier, especially with the offer of cake

Thanks very much Rick :-)- the ‘range of abilities’ is comforting as I’m still fairly new and quite rubbish. I bring cake as compensation for making people wait occasionally !!

I’m already your fb friend so I’ll keep an eye out, thanks

perfect ride last night , thanks Dave, excellent route. Really strange to swap the mud for icy ridges. Reckon my screaming has dropped a bit more. Good turn out too, considering it was -4 degrees C
Loved the Bakewell Tart and swede cake !!

Geetee1972 – Im pretty sure Lisa takes it all in good spirits – just like I did when she was trying to look up my shorts when I was stood on the fox

haha, yes, all good fun, sorry MMTM, I wasn’t perving, just making sure the view was ‘safe’

    Bit 😕 about the pear-shape !!! <no more pies for a while>

Lisa, I got Debs (my wife) to repeat the mantra “power through the mud” when it’s damp as it was last night, and it helped her no end! As you get more used to it, you’ll enjoy it even more!

    See you all next Monday.

    Dave

thanks Dave – I had Graeme saying the same thing thing behind me – it helped 😀

loved the route tonight. definitely less screaming from me, I must have improved a bit 😀 Not sure I burned enough calories to cover the five pieces of cake I scoffed afterwards. Thanks Dave for leading and to Graeme for rear duty.

Divagirl – It’s got nothing to do with fitness, I’d say I’m pretty damn fit, sweating hasn’t changed (might’ve got worse if anything?!).

Some people are just hot! We’re the lucky ones.

Glad you said about the fitness, I run and do military training, can’t understand why I’m so hot!! probably need to shift a couple of pounds. I quite like the smell of fresh CLEAN sweat.

About yer gym kit – a spoon of napisan added to usual detergent seems to do the trick, brings my kit back to life.

prone to a bit of ‘glow’ myself. Can’t seem to get it right, always too hot. When it’s raining I’m wet from the inside out and the outside in. Probably need to work on my fitness 🙂

I like a man in a scarf. It’s a Good Thing to be able to offer a cold girl and there’s something very erotic having a warm scarf wound around yer neck by a gallant fella 😀

Mine nearly died last winter but pulled through. It’s by my pond, not much room so its roots are bit constricted but it keeps it a reasonable size in my small garden. Not heard about sap problem before and never had any problems with it – another poster mentioned euphorbia – have these all over my garden and am v careful. Gunnerers like very wet conditions – north facing slope under a tree sounds quite dry to me, even for Wales 😉 I tend to plant any time of the year. Lovely plants 🙂
