I also loved my Solo, really loved it but thought I would try something different, just being irrational really. Glad I did, went with a Spitfire…so glad I did..!

I have one in orange, i had 3 TRc’s which all cracked. I’ve had this for around 7 months and its awesome..I have done uplift days all over the place and only come unstuck once on a drop but thats it. I run mine with Pikes lowered to 140mm and the rear shock was terrible so had it Pushed and now the bike is sweet as..I am 5’9 and the medium is perfect mate

All the best mate, very worrying. It doesn’t matter how fit we feel we just don’t know what’s going on inside..I wonder if there is some sort of screening for this type of thing?

Mate I’m a tinkerer too and fancied a change from X2. I bought some XTR trails, hated them. Far too grabby, very on/off. So I sold them and bought the new tech3 m4’s….stunning brakes with 0 fade.

Haha gonna save those legs…it does concern me though when I hear SC isn’t making 26 by the end of 2015.. If mine wasn’t a warranty job, I wouldn’t have suckered in. So what small company’s are gonna be making 26.. Orange? Nukeproof? I don’t think they are

Thanks fellas, I’ve been 102 speedmaster minder for years and have had enough really, I have an opportunity to go into sales, I think I would be good as I have the gift of the gab and get on with everyone. The thing is I need to find out all about it, is is commissioned based, wages etc..also, how much free time do you get, seeing clients etc..do I need to put myself on a course? I just want to know about the general position really, what it’s all about…any info would be great…cheers

Depending on your riding style I wouldn’t go near mavic slr again..very pretty but also very weak. I would go with SX, I have them and am well pleased….

This is how I do it. Works every time. First, put the tubes in and pump them to 40psi, in the morning tube out, valve in making sure the valve is really tight but finger tight. Track pump like mad and it should seat no probs. then let the tyre down and add sealant, pump up again and shake the sealant around. Shake the wheel as if you are looking for gold in a tray in a river if you know what I mean, that way you evenly distribute the sealant..may the force be with you…,!

First off that’s powerful mate, what caused it? 2 of my mates have had heart attacks at young ages and ride as hard as they did before. They both said the surgeons gave them the confidence NOT to do anything different , easier said than done I expect….I hope you get better soon mate and always try to think of the positives..

For me, all the shimano brakes have NO modulation at all. I tried the xtr when they came out but they just locked the wheels up. The saints were better on my DH bike for some reason, even though they were 4 pots. I was running formulas after the shimano, a bit better but still too grabby. I settled on hope m4 tech evo and they are perfect…lots of modulation and only lock the wheels when pulled hard..hope this helps

Crossmax sx for me at 1750gms or there abouts…on my DH bike I have the dt Swiss ex1750 which I can’t fault. I am a heavy rider and these came back nice and true from a week in the alps….

To the OP, for me it’s all about the type of riding you do. I have a 29er for winter purposes and a 26er trail weapon for everything from XC to DH. the 29er is far too clumsy for everything apart from speed so in my opinion, it depends what sort of bike you were going back to.

It’s great if you know what you want from your shock mate, I even asked them for a slightly faster rebound and it’s bought the bike to life when jumping….I should have done it sooner (:0)

Fellas, I was in the same boat with my RP23 Kashima. It was always blowing through its travel with no mid range support, so much so I was putting 200psi in it so it wouldn’t collapse. It was always really noisy too. So I got it pushed and am amazed by the result, well worth the money. I now have 160psi in it and it’s bang on the sweet spot, and quiet to boot……!
