The thing is the bike is the nuts..but I am gutted. They sent me a new shock too but it didn’t help..they said ” you have to realise these bikes are made by people and people make mistakes” ffs I have spent £2400 and have to swallow it???

This is very painful..broken ribs type pain..it’s not the fracture that I’m bothered about really it’s the nail being removed and the bed being repaired..Imagine slamming your finger in a door x 100…

I only have to look at a digestive biscuit and I get it. I found the best way is to identify the foods which gave me it. Biscuits, toast, weatabix (I love them all)..and cut them out. Then neck some Gaviscon when really needed or ice cold milk helps too

I’m like that OP..there’s nothing wrong with the ride you simply want a change. I had a Solo and wanted something more aggro so went with a spitfire and love it, but still look around..I would look at the Mojo HD3 mate, love em. Also, the new breed of aggro 29ers need a look, I’ve just bought one and love that too

You definitely have to change the oils/seals at least twice a year depending on how much you ride obviously..I recommend these guys..cheap and a quick service too..

In a nutshell….I agree with Shackleton. I love my Spitfire but will say to really enjoy it, build it as light as possible. Mine is bang on 29lbs. I’ve probably owned most top brand bikes and this is up there with all the top brands. What I will say in all honesty is that I was a 29er hater. A couple of XC buds got them early on and they rode horrible but I am a changed man since I rode a short travel, more aggressive one and WOW..! Totally blown away..So I got an Orange Segment and it’s so much fun…if you ride trail, with small jumps seriously have a look at one..if you ride trail with big hucks, uplifts etc..Spitfire..!

Mate, I had the same issue so I emailed Fisher directly and basically said I bought them from Germany and am disappointed and so on…they said to take them to local bike shop and get them to send them in. I went on holiday and when I got back…brand spanking new Pikes..happy days..!

Having had reverbs since they came out and not having many probs with them I thought I would give the Lev a go. Imo it’s a much better post, almost zero play and just seems better built..I have to recommend the southpaw lever too…

Ok so I had a a 24hr heart monitor fitted and did a hard ride where I felt the palps which was good. Doc rang me and told me to come in so I feared the worst. He explained that although my heart was missing beats, more so when riding, they were benign, so I shouldn’t worry about them and try to forget about them. He went into detail explaining that it was a sort of misfire and only if I have pain, or shortness of breath should I be concerned..So there it is, thanks again all for your comments…

Yep agreed, but they are the go to company for ‘cheap’ parts. In my personal experience, there stuff is pretty good..!

I’ve had a few issues but they have sorted them out no probs. it does make me laugh how people buy products for half the price of top brands, and then slate them. After all, the reason we shop there is coz they are cheap…like the budgie

Moda, I’ve been a few times now but nothing’s come of it and they make you feel like a hypercondriac. Unfortunately we give dr’s too much Power to make the decisions for us. We see them on a pedistal and don’t dare to question them. I was told to pull my self together etc whilst smirking at me 15 years ago by an ageing doc when I had anxiety/stress..prick..!

I don’t drink much anymore tbh, but on Tuesday after a pretty intense 20 miler, we had a couple of Stella’s after the ride and I just couldn’t get too sleep due to missed beats. It really is terrible as you think “oh shit, hearts gonna stop” but it never does. I do think deep down this is fuelled by anxiety which I’ve had for years. I’m on top of it but it rears its ugly head from time to time. Again thanks for taking the time to post up fellas x

I do have them when stressed yes, which obviously makes them worse. I’m gonna knock the coffee on the head and keep hydrated when riding and see if it makes a difference. If it doesn’t, I think I’ll go back to the docs and maybe get a referral to a cardiologist. I bet it’s one of those things most of us get but I’m just very tuned in to them, to the point where I’m waiting for them to happen…disturbing feeling
