    Ahh mate I feel your pain..

    ive put lots of comments, started posts about health anxiety, mines the heart..my engine. I still have it now but am in control of it all. The mind/imagination is so powerful and all issues are bought on by my overactive imagination. I used to suffer severe panic attacks, even looking at those words used to bring one on. I’ve had an amazing journey of self discovery over the last 20 years or so, all starting in the rave days, caning it etc..I still have anxiety, it’s rife in my family but I have a complete understanding of what it’s all about..That’s the key, not to find out why it’s happening but accepting it..which is bloody tough, then it goes away….until the next trigger, then the process of acceptance starts again..

    i help lots of others now which in turn helps me. Feel free to contact me if you wish

    I was on the waiting list for the Canyon but they kept putting back the date so I cancelled and got the lower spec E-sommet and like it a lot, new wheels/tyres and bars

    It may be the CSU on the pikes. Take the wheel off upside down and hold the bars with your feet..then wiggle

    I’m fit and able, good standard Enduro rider..e-bikes are just such a grin. Surely I don’t have to be disabled to ride one? It’s just another way to ride bikes..what we all love eh?

    Great comments there mate..my initial post was about all of our group having them as we are all fit and able and love the more Agro side of riding. However, for us to go out on e-bikes and cover more ground in a day is appealing for me. Also, as I have to pick the kids up after a work, it will enable to nip out for an hour before I get them. As for the potential trail damage, I’m in 2 minds..yes I care..a lot, but I have watched lots of vids where this is bought up and there is no evidence. One of the t like the fact we could squeeze more runs in, thus damaging the trails more..I bet he and he’s group have made it to the top of a descent after a few runs then sacked it off because of potential damage….!

    ^^ HaHa.. I just imagine places like Afan, instead of going round once or twice, you should be able to session parts of the blade, and get 3 loops in..

    So you have to cut the wires for internal? Do you charge the battery through the display as I would like to use it without the display if poss.

    Interesting…I know we have our arms up our backs in this industry, being told what to buy and the next big thing and we are all suckers…my best bike ever was a SC blur trc 26er, it cracked and I got a Solo which was still good. Then sold my DH bike so wanted an all rounder and on it goes. I love my Evil following but remember our ppub talk before 27.5 and as we were all bmx boys, we all agreed that even 26 inch wheels were too big..lol

    I got a warranty replacement after a lot of hard work and threats. Basically my rear wheel kept hitting the seatube. The rear wheel is carbon. I ran a 2.4 ardent out back as it said on Evils site it will take a 2.4. Evil said it was too aggressive after I claimed. They said I was riding the bike to aggressively, even tho Strobel rags the shit out of it in the Marketing vids. They did send me a new shock first which didn’t help. In the end I got a new frame and decided to keep it and am running the same set up with no problems. Evil Europe and US came across as arrogant and unhelpful, Silverfish sorted it all out. I love the new frame and don’t regret keeping it one bit…I just hope I don’t have any problems with it…

    Lots of threads on mtbr about the rubbing issue…TBH I was a bit embarrassed about putting it on here but that was all I had left. I support this great industry and want to help push it forward and am so glad it is being sorted..I had a great bike but was afraid to ride it as I didn’t want to cause more damage and basically felt I was being hung out to dry..

    Tbh all the uk fellas have been top notch. I have asked my self this Q mate and can’t work their system out..anyway, I’m not that bothered as long as I get what I think is fair, I’ll be keeping the new frame as it really is that good and hopefully, it will be fine…

    Paid on a card through a shop who I know so could be tricky for them..this is defo over as far as I’m concerned as I haven’t heard from them in over a week..I want to make one thing clear, i really wanted to support them as I heard the bike was good and the warrant was better..I have nothing but good things to say about Santa Cruz and wish I would have bought the Hightower..

    Damon,

    I understand where you are coming from, but you must realize a few things here;

    Your frame is not worthless. You are not alone with tire rub on the seat tube. Its a mountain bike. Scratches and scuffs are expected (yes I realize this is a little out of the norm). The market for used Followings is strong.

    No one is trying to fob you off. Our job is to help you.

    We are indeed a bike manufacturer. We do not want our bikes to have issues. Engineers are in fact human. They sometimes make mistakes.

    I am doubtful I can make anything better than a crash replacement happen. I will ask around.
