Oh yes, forgot about Athletico Mince. So good.

Ah yes, someone else has recommended the Crouch one too. Good list thanks.

    Any more?

Watching with interest. I have a rigid Stache and love it. Suspect the Full may be a bit OTT, but still want one.

Angeldust deserves more props for that gag.

    Have some props.

Agree with Avdave2 (I live in Lewes), though I’d slightly prefer to go Berwick – Hailsham – Jevington.  Mostly as I hate the climb up from Exceat as the road is so busy there.

On a busy train reading this, and getting very odd looks as I’ve been giggling about the “accidentally shit someone today” typo. For about ten minutes.

You did a “Cleveland Steamer” bike?!?!

…you probably know this already but Reposado and Anejo versions will have been rested in casks, so will be flavoured. Some people swear by more traditional Blanca versions.

Nasty tequila makes me ill too, but the proper stuff is a different drink altogether.

La Cava Anejo is particularly nice to sip, and seems to be fairly widely available.

Am I being thick, where does it say they were travelers?

More coffee?  I just use a French Press, and the first couple of attempts I had were watery too, so ended up putting what seemed an unreasonable amount in to get it up to scratch.  Can’t live without the stuff now…

Really useful, thanks!  Do the compression tops add any stability?

Pain from a broken shoulder + Newborn + stress from finding out about likely rendundancy + family member being diagnosed with breast cancer = not a lot of sleep.  It sucks.

Had two Z5 compacts.  Both started overheating badly and became unusable.  Caved in and got an iPhone which has been much better.

As CountZero says they help with design. Most HBs are printed on materials like Wibalin, which isn’t easily printed on. You can get gloss HBs on which you can print designs, but it looks awful.

It’s also much cheaper to print the designs on dust jackets.

Will check out Plex, thank you!

Nup, it’s not set to organise my music.  It’s not the rights thing either, as the files can be redownloaded.

By manage I really just want something that is easy to navigate, handles playlists, removes duplicates, corrects artwork and info.  For instance I really like Bonnie Prince Billy.  His metadata is crap so his tunes download with loads of different varieties of his name.  I manually correct them, but whenever I update iTunes they f-ing revert to the original listing.  Which is arse-numbingly tedious.

Mostly I want one that doesn’t lose sodding random track though!

I’m averse to paying the Spotify subscription fee.  Could try Google music but have read it isn’t an upgrade on iTunes and tends to push you towards their own store.  Will have a look though.

    Any more?

@lunge – yeah, I would love a Grand Seiko, but as you say, not cheap! I seem to really like their limited editions which are even more pricey.

OP – The suggestion of second hand Omega is good if you want a present with more of a name. Servicing can get very expensive though.

…or a nice Seiko. Not much name cache for a gift, but they are just about the best made watches for under a grand. The Presage line look lovely. I’d prefer to receive something a bit rarer as a gift, personally, but that may just be me.

Have a look at Farer.  British designed (fairly meaningless but they look very nice), and all have solid Swiss movements. They have some with the benchmark ETA 2824-2 movement which is very good, and very common in quality automatics, so won’t cost the earth to service.

Can you get aftermarket chain guards that cover the whole thing?

Whitestone – I’ve got an Alfine 11 on one of the MTBs, and don’t mind it at all (though haven’t ridden it in over a year to be fair…).  I hadn’t looked into fitting an aftermarket dynamo, will investigate.  I’m keenest on the Gates drive bit most of all, maintaining the chain on the old commuter got a bit boring.

Grim – Thanks, will take a look!

We had a similar-ish problem (partly killing things, though mostly the issue was his crazed bin dipping, he once found an empty ghee barrel and came back all greased up).  We solved this by keeping him at night.

Obvs this won’t work if your chap is killing during the day.

You should eat the gull yourself! My local butcher does seabird sausages. He used to be really good but recently he’s taken a tern for the wurst.

Very good recommendations, have started on Europa Universalis, looks excellent so far. Someone just needs to cross-breed in with Total War, and it’d be the perfect game to swallow days when I should be doing something prodcutive.

Ooh, no, they look good for playing battles.

Hardly any of these suggestions came up on my google searches, interestingly…

    Will check out Cold Waters.

Hmmm, good question. Ideally the game would include both, but maybe it’s the strategy side. Will look at the two you recommend.

Is there nothing available with the battles in that case?

I tried Age of Empires, never got on with it. Will look at Xcom.

Play it through your sumptuous, expensive HiFi, Woppit. You’ll hear all the musicality. Then start a thread about it.
