Built by the 2 lads that built most of ^sorrell,s^ trails over the last decade.

Looks like they may have got this right

Just had a look on Youtube, looks surprisingly good. Thankfully it doesn’t look too manicured, was expecting a clean Llandegla-esque/Sorrellised type surface, looks like it will weather in nice!

    Well done all concerned.

As per the instructions, always amazed at the amount of people who know better than the Manufacturer.

    +1 James

My tyres are touch more pinched when mounted on Mavic 321s than when mounted on Arch Ex’s, I reckon their claims are probably about right.

Poorly aligned caliper/pistons will cause excessive throw

Caliper needs to be dead center over disc, pistons should be evenly balanced left and right and both contact the disk at the same time, I’m betting your rear isn’t.

Pretty much what Davesport says, no issues with distorted threads, just don’t back the nut off too far.

Nice one, just trying to understand what the issue was, dry grease seems unlikely on such a new shifter.

    @sonnyjiim

Out of interest, do you turn your bike upside down when you wash it?

    As above

Rebound sounds a little slow as well, could they be packing down on successive hits?

White is fine!! It’s for a commuter, and I actually like to think that white rims look rather snazzy. Thanks for the tip!!

Booking a bike on guarantees nothing anyway IME.

Final word is with the driver, if the trains arrives full at your station your reservation will mean nothing, health and safety trumps it.

    Put New bearings in

I would double check they’re fully seated before letting loose with the dremmel.

Mine is a Pro 2 straight pull which I think is the same as the Evo.

Maybe double check with Hope, don’t think xd drivers work with non Evo Pro 2

Out of curiosity have just had a mess with mine and yes its normal, mine also fouls if I screw it right out (orange 5).

Struggle to see how you could have bent something screwing out the B screw, just screw it back in until it no longer fouls.

Whats the symptoms, pictures of the above if it really is an issue.

Much of muchness IMO, Stronglight are as good as any and are reasonably priced.

Spa cycles usually carry a good range.

Tried Weltite wax, Finishline wax and Finishline wax ceramic. Not got had great results with any in wet conditions, this despite applying several applications a few days before use.

I’ve not used Squirt, been meaning to give it a try.

As long as you don’t mind voiding your warranty and potentially running into performance issues.

100 quid+ on a pair of brakes and your trying to save a fiver, like your gonna miss it? :?

BR +1, 3 chains, one cassette, once on the third chain run into ground.

Recently took to running two chains on my bikes, one wet one and on dry and swap according to conditions. Easier than degreasing a wet chain and applying dry lube and vice versa.

don’t believe dirty dog the parts are still available. Part no. is 803-00-149

Well F*** me sideways, had it on good advice that you could no longer buy those parts for 2011 Fox 36s.

I am quite relieved that you still can, thanks for the info and apologies for getting it so wrong!

Will be contacting Mojo tomorrow to order kit.

Just buy some newer forks with the same Stanchion diameter and swap your uppers onto them.

How would that work if I blew the bladder (not an uncommon occurrence)?

    dirtydog
    Free Member

Mech isn’t designed to cope with the range, longer B screw will fix it but will lead to premature chain slippage due to lack of chain wrap. 11 speed rear mech would be your best bet.

Don’t but a second hand Fox, you won’t be able to get spares.

I’ve got a pair of 2011 RC2 36s in perfect condition, I dread the day the FIT bladder or anything else going wrong, they will only be fit for the bin as you can’t get spares, suspect they have a life cycle of 5 years then Fox pull the plug.
