Worse than that are black back gulls, saw one swoop down on a male blackbird getting worms for its young on a playing field and repeatedly smashed it into the ground and swallowed it whole, and managed to do it so fast my lurcher cross couldn’t interfere when I directed it to intervene.

I was looking at second hand status and people wanted £1300 for a 2yr old model, so I tried a lowball offer and they’d only budge 50quid even with me collecting it. 

So I thought sod it I’ll buy a new one arriving 29th hopefully, I’m going to swap out the tyres for Magic Mary/hans dampf and swap codes for xt 4pots and see how it goes.

If it helps, I took my X2 to silverfish / fox in Risca I had it 2nd hand off ebay and was only putting it in for a service and it was fully rebuilt under warranty to current spec.

I have defeated it by inserting paper triangles between the windscreen and cameras.
Brings up a dirty windscreen warning but I’d rather that than random unplanned emergency braking via an autonomous system built by the lowest cost preffered bidder.

I’ve gone with dogtag, wasn’t cheap £140 ish just for a week as had to declare heart attack from 8yrs ago, but it is peace of mind should worst happen.

Another good one was the fast descent on verderers @fod normally I ride my ebike which is heavy and easy to squash jumps on at speed, forgot I was riding my orange five 2017 with fast semi slicks on in the summer, took off on one jump and I massively over jumped landed on the upslope of a much further jump and speared off to right which is a drop down the valley. Ended up about 15m away from the bike having had my bell rung well and truly and a very sore knee and ankle injury.
Fun times.
