So will one box do front and rear?
Looks simple, but not sure about cost.

Thanks for all the help and advice chaps.
Picked up a set of nearly new x-fusion sweeps on pb.

Will see how they compare to the current Fox’s.

Not sure whether to leave them at 160 or drop them to 140 to match current set up.

Some good looking lights on here.
Anyone got a link to Torchy? I can never seem to find it.

What would be a good helmet mounted light?

Good luck – sounds like it should be good.
I’ve thought of doing something similar, but never got round to it.

Might be worth having a chat with the Chase Trails guys too. Also don’t forget Takeroo has no toilets – so you’ll need to provide some (unless you have a mate with a decent camper that has one).

I’ve got the mattock pro on that frame in 275 flavour. They are amazing, but have got so much adjustment, I have no idea what to do, I just twiddle around until I like it. The Comp has less adjustability, so should be fine. Esp. If it is the Dorado inners.

The Comp at CRC don’t have the Dorado Air spring – it’s the previous MARS+.

Currently looking at the Marzocchi’s mentioned above.

Never noticed the Marzocchi on CRC – they’re 170 travel though.
Can they be reduced to 150?
Bargain as they’ll be around £240 after discount…..

    Sorry to bump this again.

Noticed CRC have some Manitou Mattoc Comp’s for £280 – so £250 including my BC discount.

The spec is wrong as it’s the MARS+ and only have Air, Low Speed Compression and Rebound adjustments.

Would these be an improvement over the Fox’s? Can’t seem to find any reviews of the Comp only the Pro’s.

She wants to do some longer rides with me over the Chase – so ideally something that’ll cope with fire roads and rutted/rooty paths.

@ads678 the Orbea looks good. What’s the weight like on it?

Thanks – I got it powder coated – think it cost me £40 for strip and coat from a local firm in Birmingham.

I did my back Thursday night sneezing – struggled to bend to get my shoes on yesterday.

    Cheers guys.
Would 650b forks mess with the geo too much?

    @mickmcd
I’ll drop you a message re brakes.

Just spotted a set of bnib 150 world cup Revs with carbon steerer/crown for £300….

Not sure about the carbon steerer though.

I thought it was pretty good.

Did I miss Guy Martin in it though? He seemed to be in the trailers but I don’t remember seeing him in the final film.

My 32’s are 2014 and the CTD damper isn’t too bad. So if I could get some similar age 34’s it wouldn’t be too bad.

How do the dual air Rev’s stack up?

Haha cheers Gerti – I’ll confess to being a massive Clive Cussler fan, ex-diver and an Engineer.

I must look in all the wrong places for parts. Like the £50 deore brake set that everyone seems to get lol.

I built my lad a 24″ based on a Careers Blast.
Picked this up from eBay for £50:

Stripped it, got some 80mm Fox Floats and put some Deore kit on it.

Cable brakes will be replaced with hydraulics and now has a Suntour crankset – will change that to when budget allows.

All in cost me about £250.

Not used one but it does look good value.
Bare in mind that if you have a 2x gear set up you’ll need to buy the other remote lever though as the one supplied is an under bar shifter type.

Would be interested to see how the work out – price wise they’re abut the same as the KS eten – which I have 2 of, and they’ve been brilliant for the 18 months that I’ve had them.

I like the idea of the pump and a jerry can.

I currently have one of these:

OK for a quick rinse and getting the worst of the mud off.
