mine were notchy for about 18months.. they’ve gone back to amazing now despite leaking a few psi every now and again. silicone spray helps no end. I would also recommend having them opened up and putting the correct oil levels in so you don’t have to compensate with air.. i think that’s what changed a good fork into a great fork for me.

they happen! suspension action and the occasional necessity to skid round corners will see them form. like moguls?

    ride it out.

onza’s onto something, i personally don’t mind the abrupt bite but if you do then maybe look at using some other pads?

i did four bolts in less than a minute i suspect, although i used a carbide drill on an old* pin drill.

*they don’t make em like they used to.

the van driver put my bike in the back of his van and drove me home. now that one was a proper rta! and the reason i’ve had few since :D

The last time i had an rta i was a mile down the road before the unmarked traffic cop who witnessed the incident caught up with me to give me his card.

He called me later that day to tell me the lorry driver had been slapped with a six hundred pound fine which he payed on the spot!?

I’m obviously not saying there is never a claim.. just i think most people are thinking what they’ll do with the bag or two which will soon be dropping through the letter box as they’re getting up off the floor.

wheeling out a sob story to some insurance **** is not something i can be arsed with, and if i ever do need to file a claim i doubt i’ll have to ask the internet for advice on how i should go about it.

i run 36 11-28, road and fire climbs are mine but if its loose or a bit too steep it can slow things down abit. I might drop a tooth or two when i replace the ring next time.

i know a dude called alex based in aston/stalybridge? roadriders i think?

He’s got ccm’s and drz 400s bikes. I had so much fun doing my lessons with him.

EDIT: boooo no more supermotos. Good lads though, i aced my test although i had been on the road on an L plate for a bit. Still.. good lads who are passionate about what they do. I wonder how many cyclists are familiar with lifesavers? They are as natural to me as breathing nowadays.

I hate this pathetic claim culture. If she’s admitted liability just ask her to pay for your wheel rebuilt, a new lid and accept her apology and get on with it.

everyone wants somethin for nothin these days, have some dignity.

I looked at this strava and quickly concluded there was no accuracy involved whatsoever and therefore it was pointless.

    am i wrong?

if that baby was to flail its arms and say poke the dog in the eye it has the potential to do severe damage in a short space of time.

why would you put a defenseless child in jeopardy like that, its just mad!

the don’t ban breeds argument is stupid.

how about don’t ban guns just jail those who use them to shoot others?

MSP thats the sort of carry on that really bewilders sensible people.

    truly frightening ignorance.

staffys are on the whole nice dogs.

people who don’t understand they’re capable are imo stupid. The stupidity and ignorance of some people astounds me.

Personally i’d ban them and the associated ‘status’ dog breeds. Unfortunately I think instances of children being mauled by dogs are set to rise.

thats mad money, would you not want to kill yourself if you were taken to the cleaners by someone on a much cheaper bike?

i think greg will win ft bill.. he’s on form riding well and the track is one of his favs. gwinny might struggle to match his power on the motorway.

danny doesnt make sense for the money although he’ll probably be up there.

beaumont is worth a shout too.

a canadian dude once told me how a lot of the guys round his way would head out “mudding” in their big 4x4s.. basically they’d go driving through mud and filth for a bit and then give it a good wash afterwards drinking as they went.

Mudding seems like a brilliant idea now ive seen this packrafting thing.

minnaar made some comments after the race about taking risks, i think he was dead right in what he said.

wider can be run softer which can give more grip and lower rolling resistance.

    am i missing something here?

ive got a schwalbe table top i put on the back every now and then, its quick and there’s enough grip to send you round llandegla at speed in the wet.

    Cheap too.

5 miles-ish chorlton to trafford park fixed. Its about to double in a couple of weeks when i up sticks to reddish but the benefit of that is i’ll be able to drop into a muddy within five minutes of the new gaff. Sweet.
