yep used ignitors in the past on more of an xc bike i have, seem a bit similar to the Rubber queens i have on my more all mountain build, sort of wondering if i tend to like a tyre with more of a definative edge to it rather than a rounded profile if you catch my drift

If I understand u correctly it appears that it has released on the threaded side and as u turn it it is riding against the end of the thread, this would be due to something siezed on the axle shaft/ or non threaded non threaded side.
Possibly wheel bearing adriftcod siezedcto shaft

    P.s
u could ask the Biketree lot, they are based in west sheff on dore rd/ millhouses
they also ride out in that bit of sheff and some will no doubt live in the area

Would think west of sheff but exactly where would depend on ure budget,
plenty of riding out that way and easy access to peaks, I’m sure some guys who are local will have some good suggestion.

used Xm819’s myself, never had any issues, a lot less messing about for me than rim tape and loads of milk and no real problems with mounting onto the bead

    No Mate,
Not a member of any STW fanboy club and dont work in the industry.
Like others have said there is only so many ways you can weld bits of tube together and call it a bike but they are just so close it could be more than bit of plagiarism going on.
Like the saying goes if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck then its probably a duck .

who is going to be making the Ti Alpine if it isn’t Lynskey?

    ????

Geo is virtually the same if you compere the 2 frames for same travel fork
    @ 140mm!
Be interesting to see if the dialled turns up with with 31.6 seat tube and angle of 74 degrees like the brodie? 😉

Leverage ratio and amount of sprung weight figures?

Yep must admit I am guilty of just riding without any real thought as to who puts the work in.
A couple of extra qid in for the trail fairies next time

Mike I could not agree more, so how about popping up the drawing with all the geo on rather than just the stat on this?

Dont think you would go far wrong with either the Fox or Giro.
As above thou i would nip into local l.b.s. first to try them for size before you order.

    DB Alpine Ti………….

Afraid its a copy of the brodie!!
Right down to the tube sets, drop outs and rear brake mounts, re enforcer and the ISGC tabs.
Headtube just slightly different in order to keep the lawyers out of the loop me thinks? 😛

U get what you pay for buddy, always buy branded SKF etc, and always pack with decent grease prior to fitting,
they last a lot longer that way.

You just screw it on (just make sure the locking nipple is loose).
i awayscarry one in my pack incase i need to use a forecourt pump/ inflator

Yep adaptors work or a bit of wd40 on the bead put about 15psi in the tyre and with the wheel upright grab the top of the tyre and pull towards you working the tyre onto the bead, spin around and repeat on other side. Infate rest of the way and go ride.

yes, er i mean of course not its wrong and illegal 😉

If u don’t mind the very small weight penalty I’d fit the van,
u could have it tuned but why spend the cash when u could put it towards another shock?
You could move either on depending on what u settle on all part of the fun

    Dino

    Yep spot 😛
plenty of stuff on Intese forum of MTBR

    Dino

    Too much crompression tune??
Try it in 6 inch mode as the rear wheel will have a bit more leverage over the shock ( worth a shot as it’s quick and free) also the tracer has a higher leverage ratio than the blur lt if memory serves me correctly with a slight rise at the beginning of travel and falls away through the travel,
if ure only running 1/2 turn pre load it’s un likely to be spring more likely compression on the shock

The 2011 ones will be better than the 2010 ones and the 2012 will be better than them all because they are newer and because they are newer/later they must be???
That said the fit cartridge ones are bit better than open bath but it’s not possible to re invent the wheel every year me thinks 😉

I run 2.2 UST on a tracer vp and like em
that said they are when leaned over on front a bit skittish comp to my old high rollers,
personally if you have a UST rim then buy that one and save yourself £15 quid in tyre sealer you will end up spending if you but the cheapskate version 😉

Apparently the Brodie is also avaliable with the ISCG tabs as well ?According to the holeshot thread that pre dates this post.
I suppose Brodie may find it flattering 😛

tend to think the bi-polar thing is a little over used,
i heard its manic depression brought on by stress,
i suppose a lot of folk can suffer a breakdown of some sorts if your other half is or has been ill?
Quite brave i think if its genuine.
