Fair bit of Road noise on 18″ especially if on bridgestones ( better on goodyears)
Build quality very Average (had highline with leather and Dsg box)
Pick ure car carefully as lot of rough ones about a good one will come with lots of recipts as they like the garage.
Had from11k- 52k and it had,
    Gearbox control unit
Stur mounts twice ( then vw replaced struts and springs as 18″ spec wheels should have slightly softer springs)
    Rear wheel bearings
Ignition coils ( the early ones catch fire)
    Header tank recall
Rust on front wings as arch liner rubs paint away
Not trying to put u off as I forgave it because it drove great and the engine with the Dsg box combo is brill.

6ft on a medium 18″ C456, good for the money goes downhill well and climbs ok, ideal for me for the coming winter so
Hopefully will make me get out more rather than the full suss

If it’s ure first hol then spend a bit more on a nice place to stay / suitable resort, I would say makes a difference, ( ure in there a bit and good food and comfy rooms are a must) also get plenty of lessons dry slope or snowdome it doesn’t matter, it will pay off when u get there, I would use crystal or neilsons as they are pretty good and very good at in resort help if it’s ure first hol.
p.s I wished my parents would have taken me when young 🙂

I would think the Ti Pigs material / would go along way to the feel not just the weight saving over the Std one, so not really a good / ideal comparison?

Had bikes from both maufacturers and if i was in the market for a new bike at the moment (Alu) would probably go for the Yeti.
You may well get better after sales from Yeti based on some reports.
If carbon then probably Mojo HD, (been around a little while now and not heard of any horror stories, the carbine looks nice but to early to see if its going to be reliable).

6 Year old mallets still going strong,
that said they are the Mag ones and the bodies are getting a bit worn!
They dont stand up to Luddites like shimano do, thou i must admit just dont like the Shimano cleats, each to there own.

Prob be better on a large but depends how u like ure bike

I run a tracer and it’s not really a do it all bike, if u build it up light it doesn’t really suit it so most folk myself included run it a bit heavier with 36’s and slighty heavier wheels etc,
I here the yeti asr5 is a good bike but havnt ridden one, but from what you describe u may well be better suited to a 575 or maybe a dw 5 spot, a little burlier than the asr but not heavy,

    p.s
at 6ft it prob depends on how u like ure bike to feel but a medium would be a tad small

Recently bought one about 6 weeks go for a winter bike and built up with old bits off an old yeti frame i have.
Great fun light, stiff but not too stiff in the rear and decends really well, like the other guy’s say for the money you cant go wrong. i would buy a painted one as the naked carbon one is an aquired taste.

    Forks will be fine
matt black is an aquired taste but each to ther own
that said i did see a nice painted black with painted grey logo in the shop the other week.
i have a painted black and red.
5,11″ and on an 18″ as i like a short stem with a bit more top tube length

    Dino

All i would say is buy a painted one, and ring them as the website desriptions are a bit vague.
Some folk have ordered the naked carbon and not liked the way it looks with the carbon lay up.
The headset issue is down to Rockshox Tapered steerer forks I believe, and spacer are available,I think the on one smoothie headset sorts this now.

allsorts, climbs well and picks up speed downhill soo fast as its quite light, can’t complain for the money really, bought it as a winter bike instead of using my tracer, and so far it copes pretty well with whatever ive thrown at it, going to try a 36mm fork on it soon, but very happy at the moment.
