    ^^^ Duly noted.
Will definitely do the same when we install them.

^^^^ If it’s not too rude, how much were they?

    Coke and hookers.
Have you seen how much they cost these days!

We don’t have any yet, as they’re for a new roof going in over the kitchen/dining room.
One of my main worries was that flies and insects will head for it then die and drop into the kitchen.
If you can open them a bit they’ll be able to escape.
Not sure if this is a real world problem or not?
Also Mrs Dingabell says she’ll never use them unless they’re easy for her to open….and sod the extra grand they’ll cost!

    That is bloody awful!
    No offence intended.

That Cannondale is a lovely bike and a bargain to boot.
If you’re happy with less travel then you couldn’t go far wrong with that surely?
It probably weighs as much as a newly hatched butterfly too.

Rwamartin – some very valid points.
Safest way seems to be the normal wall mount.
Will go and look at thin TV’s the next time I’m in John Lewis I think.
Just have to convince the wife it won’t look ugly.

    Projector not really practical.
Will have to look for the flattest TV with the thinnest surround that I can find and just mount it normally on the wall I think?

Wife says definitely can’t stud it out as we need all the room. Anyone own a really flat TV that they could measure total depth including bracket?
2unfit2ride – what model is your TV?

Make the recess bigger than the TV giving it room to breath?
Not sure really but I’m open to suggestions?

I’ve just built one of their timber garages.
It went together OK and everything was there, but you get what you pay for.
Mate of mine spent an extra grand on a cabin and it does seem better quality.
Make sure if you do build one that your base is dead level or it’ll throw everything out during the build.
Also, shingles on the roof aren’t that time consuming and look far better than felt IMO.

XT wheels with ‘fabulous’ cup and cone bearings.
If they’re so great, how come no one else uses them?

Not sure why it would be closed?
    Too many accidents?

    That looks excellent.
Can just make out a plastic bracket on one of the pedals I think?
    Where are they from?

Or post pictures here when you do crash.

According to the staff member, there were seven pretty bad stacks just yesterday on that one section.

Went there today. Have to say, was mightily impressed. Sixtapod was definitely my favorite but all the other blues and reds were great fun too. Had no idea it was that easy to link up different runs.
Unfortunately our day came to an abrupt stop in the afternoon when one of our group overcooked a jump on A470. He landed nose down, went over the bars onto his back and knocked himself out. He was then run over by three bikes coming up behind him who couldn’t stop in time because they didn’t see him in the middle of the trail until it was too late. Thankfully his back is fine and he’s just a bit bruised and battered. Big thanks to everyone from BPW for getting an ambulance up there and shutting off the trail to stop anyone else from hitting him before he could be moved. A&E not the best way to end the day but he’s OK which is the main thing…..and he still wants to go back!

The chainstays are massively wide so be prepared to have to change your foot position. They’ve even helitaped them because they know you’re going to rub your heels on them. Apart from that, lovely bikes.

We’ve got a Yale wireless alarm and have never had any problems with it. I’ve also just built a timber garage in our front garden and have put one of the PIR sensors in there. Works a treat. In fact I keep forgetting it’s alarmed and have set it off twice. At least I know it works I suppose.

    Sorry, not anywhere near Bristol.
There seems to be quite a glut of posts on here lately from people complaining about poor service from ‘tradesmen’.
I personally don’t understand this. Maybe in the current climate when there seems that most tradesmen have plenty of work, some of them are getting a bit complacent?
This stinks as far as I’m concerned. How anyone can take a customer for granted is beyond me, because at some point when things are maybe not so good, they’re going to need all the good feedback they can get. I do all I can to keep the customer happy, probably at the expense of taking too long on a job to get it just right. A house is a person’s single most expensive investment and everyone deserves to get a good job done, on time considering they are probably paying decent money for it. Maybe I’m never going to make as much as someone who goes in and rushes the job to make more money, but at least I know that at the end of the day the customer will be more than happy with the end result.
    Sorry……rant over.

It does my head in to see shoddy tiling.
I do everything as if it was my own house, which means if I’m not happy, then the customer certainly won’t be happy.
If the problems are as bad as you say, and he’s turned down the chance to rectify it himself, then I’d say you were well within your rights to get someone else in and deduct their charge from what you owe him.

I had an 03 WRX and I miss it every day I have to drive round in my poxy van.
Interior as said, not the best but it was absolutely 100% reliable for me. Apart from MOT’s and petrol I didn’t spend a penny on it in two years. The boot’s not massive but when it’s that much fun who cares? It was one of those cars that when you fill it up, you don’t care because of the enjoyment you’ll have running it out of petroleum again.
Also it was the year when we had about two feet of snow and ice for a month, and my wife pinched it off me every day to drive around for work. It absolutely rocks in the snow.

Trust me, it doesn’t always pay well.
I do it for £130 a day and never finish before 5pm.
I don’t even stop for lunch.
Should really charge more I suppose.
