I’ve got knackered knees and tried Crank Brothers pedals because of the extra float.
Rode fifty yards before the pain got so bad I had to get off.
As above, Five Tens or the like, and good grippy flats.
The main thing that helps me is forever being able to move my feet to different positions.

We went from gas to a Weber charcoal BBQ and it seems to take no longer to get it ready to cook on, and the food tastes night and day better.
As above, get a chimney starter.

    That is truly awful.
I’m sure it goes on country wide, but why anyone would want to film a suicidal man is beyond me?

    Alt J are bleeding excellent.
Buy both albums immediately or I’ll come round and give you a good slap……..and don’t say I didn’t warn you

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the Devils own food.

    He was a genius alright.
I’d have probably got a lot more from English lessons if we’d have read his books instead of Shakespeare.

I’ve just bought a Skoda Octavia VRS.
It does look pretty dull but it’s a lovely drive.
First time I’ve really bought a car where I was a bit nonplussed about the looks.

I’ve got an Onkyo amp and Mordaunt Short Alumni 5.1 speakers.
I love it. Real window shaking stuff when we watch DVD’s (remember them?).

    Exactly.
Little fluffy balls of creamy, chocolate goodness.
And you can eat about a hundred without getting full up.

I had a WRX sportwagon and had to sell it to buy a van.
A little bit of me died inside.
Just buy one, have fun and sell it when you realize it’s a tad thirsty. They’re a hoot. You won’t regret it.

If the phones are on the same network then you should be able to use the same Sim.
If not, and your new phone is O2 or unlocked, try gifgaf?

As above….avoid B&Q but not a lot wrong with Topps if you see something in there you like?
If you have any ’tiling friends’ get them to source the adhesive and grout etc. You’ll save a small fortune. And don’t use anything other than Mapei or the other big brand names. Definitely not Dunlop.

We’re just about to do this but I have no idea of cost yet?
Give me six months and I’ll let you know.
I’m hoping its not going to be a case of think of a figure then double it.

Almost made my mind up to get one now due to lots of good reviews, so thanks for that. Even the wife has relented on her ‘no Skoda’ policy.
Fingers crossed, one will be arriving on my drive in the next couple of weeks.

Another quick question. Is the hatchback relatively easy to get a bike rack on, or does the boot spoiler get in the way?

Thanks for the briskoda recommendation. Will check it out later. Was actually looking at the 200bhp petrol hatchback because I didn’t realise there was an estate version. At least that gives me another option. Not sure what a dsg gearbox is?

Mr Jolly is an absolute classic.

Has to be the ‘Ride Of The Valkyries’ scene in Apocalypse Now?
Or the grenade through the letterbox scene in Mr Jolly Lives Next Door. Classic!

We found an anti tank shell in our coal shed.
I took it to school and they freaked out and confiscated it.
We’d been chucking it around in the field at play time.

Pleeeeease don’t tell me you prefer Johnny Cash’s version of NIN ‘Hurt’ ?

I agree with Bob Dylan’s voice but wouldn’t his songs be just as rubbish sung by someone else? I’m probably going to get flamed for that one.

Cheers for that. If they do fork juice I’ll get a couple. It’s ace stuff.

I’m having exactly the same thoughts.
I’ve got an 09 yeti 575 but I spend every minute looking at shiny new bikes. My bike does everything I need it to but I keep telling myself I need bolt through axles to make it stiffer, and more bulky headset etc.
I think it’s just nice having a change sometimes?
The problem comes when you’ve bought a new bike and still can’t bring yourself to sell the old one to fund it.

Stabila bubble levels are ace IMO.
Saying that though, I’ve also got a Stabila laser level which has been invaluable for tiling etc.

    Have just tried that.
    Still no good.
I’m now getting the message ‘the mail server is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings’.
I’ve checked it and everything seems to be OK.

There doesn’t seem to be an outbox.
There’s a sent box and a drafts box but it’s not in either of those.

Yes. Tried that. Still the same.
