I think it’s great. Forks never suffer from stiction and they’re very smooth after a spray of this stuff. I spray some on my rear shock too. Not sure if you’re supposed to or not but it certainly hasn’t had any adverse affects on it as I’ve just serviced it after two years of all weather riding and it was in perfect nick.

Butter Jam then lots of Clotted on top. And you can keep your little pot of tea. Disgusting stuff! I’ll have another scone instead.

As Rorschach says, surely for the majority of us it’s about having the most fun not just how fast you can get from A-B? Or am I missing the point? I stil can’t get used to how they look too.

What we can see of it, it looks bloody lovely. Can’t see the whole bike though. Not sure how you’re going to ride it with only one arm and one leg, after it cost you the other ones.

Thanks Bagstard but I think a large will be too big for me. Would have been a bargain though. Following up on the 661 link. £65 seems pretty cheap. Will weigh it up against the Brand X stuff. Cheers for the advice about wearing something under it. Hadn’t really considered the minging smell factor.

Have a look on Pauls Cycles website. Seem to be some really good deals on there.

I forgot to mention that this doesn’t include the majority of girlie roadies. They seem to be far happier on their bikes. So maybe it’s just a “bloke” thing.

Check out “Nike-The Pool” on You Tube. I don’t ride a BMX but I can’t help but admire anyone who can ride like this. If these guys can look cool in helmets then what’s stopping your average Joe on the street from wearing one? Not sure it’s much of a fashion statement having a caved in head.

Ok, we’ll put this to bed now. This is the first time I’ve ever been on this forum so didn’t realise it was such a common topic. It was just an observation of something which happens nearly every time we go out. I get the point. Too busy trying not to die in potholes to nod your head. Fair enough. It’s a good job all mountain bikers ride down glassy smooth tracks or no one would give anyone the time of day. Nuf said. I’ll try to not wind anyone up next time.

I ride Leith Hill/Holmbury every week on my 575 and I can’t really say I’ve ever felt “overbiked” Also ridden Swinley, Cwmcarn Downhill, Affan and Richmond Park cycle path with the wife. If I only rode my bike on the optimum trails I probably wouldn’t get out very much. I suppose if I could afford a DH bike (which I can’t) then I’d feel a bit “overbiked” popping down to the paper shop…..Then again.
