Myself and my mate did a beginners course last year in Portugal. Based in Burgau in the Algarve we were mini bussed to a lagoon about half an hour away for the lessons. It was such good fun. We were meant to go to Morocco but EasyJet ruined that one. Might be going to Morocco to do another one this year. You’ll absolutely love it.

Maybe everyone needs to ask themselves why the original title didn’t include women anyway. As far as I know women can have wives and girlfriends too.
I’ll think harder before rushing a question out on a bike forum and expecting the replies to be about bikes.
She’s very excited about getting it. It’s really hard trying to find anything in stock at the moment and there aren’t many female specific bikes around. The top tube height on the mens were a bit of an issue and she didn’t want it to look ‘blokey’. Anyway…. it was much harder spending her money than it would have been spending mine. It’ll all be worth it now she can ride further with me and laugh when she overtakes me up hills. I think this is why people need to give ebikes a break sometimes.

😀The reason for the title was that I needed a speedy answer because there was only one left, and there seems to be a larger majority of guys on here than the fairer sex. They’ve all got far better things to do on a Saturday evening.
It’s been bought, so maybe she’ll come and hang out on here to join in the arguments about ebikes. Actually…. maybe she’s on here already?

Will try it tomorrow. Was hoping to notice it in a bit more clearance with the bottom bracket and not really notice the steeper head angle so sounds like that might be the case. Nothing to lose so let’s see how it goes.

It’s looking promising for the Nv200.
Does anyone know if it comes with a hatch in the bulkhead so I can get 2.4m lengths of timber or my 9ft surfboard inside like I can in the Peugeot?

Weathershield’s OK. Off the top of my head (and I could be wrong) make sure you read the tin as I seem to remember it being two undercoats and one top coat which is a bit unusual.

I was looking at the Citan because compared to some others, it seemed good value for money but have put off by some pretty negative reviews. Apparently the drive is a lot less comfortable and ‘car like’ than other vans. I’ll keep reading up on them though, while I look at other stuff. I’m also struggling a bit because I can’t claim the vat back and most vans seem to be +vat.

How can anyone possibly not like Reece’s!!??
Chocolate….. AND peanut butter in one tasty treat.
I bought one of the massive 1/2 lb Reece’s cups at Christmas’s last year and ate it in one go.
    Didn’t even throw up.
    Go me.

Also watched Don’t f### With Cats and thought it was gripping TV. Particularly enjoyed the way the characters in it provided the commentary rather than another droning narrator.
Really dodgy subject matter but very well handled.

Don’t you have any good mates that would lend it to you?
If it was one of my friends and I knew they could pay it back, I wouldn’t hesitate to lend them it.

Just thought I’d ressurect this thread now I’ve switched to SunRace 12spd from Shimano.
In a nutshell….. I will definitely be going back to Shimano.
I’ve only had three rides on the new SunRace stuff but already the clutch on the derailleur has stopped working, the shifter (as mentioned by someone else) is sticking in the forward position and the cassette seems to be dragging on my freehub almost as if it’s a tiny bit too wide.
Basically none of it seems to be very well engineered. It was always going to be a gamble switching from Shimano but I now wish I hadn’t.

I like Wellgo MG1’s. Light and comfortable and pretty cheap.
Tried superstar nano’s and Nukeproof Electrons and found them too flat under my foot.
Mate found the same thing too.

I’m going snowboarding to Austria in January for the first time ever and I’m only 47!
    I think I might die?
What I need is for a certain Jedi to open a ‘learn to snowboard’ centre so I can do a day course there.

We’re in the SE and we bought one from Dunster House who are based near Cambridge I think.
They have most models built up in their showroom.
Very pleased with it and a doddle to put up.

This is a very apt thread for me.
My wife (46) currently owns a Civic type r and is looking at buying a Fiesta ST.
She went out in one and really likes it but we can’t help thinking it’s a bit on the small side.
She’s probably still going to get one though as she doesn’t want to spend another three odd grand getting a Focus ST.
I really want her to get the Focus but it’s her money not mine, so I’ll just have to nod and keep my mouth shut.
The Fiesta’s do still look nice though.

Will I be scowled at if I ride to work in jeans not lycra?
Will also have flat pedals because of dodgy knees.
    Thanks for the recommendations everyone.
    Very helpful.

Was printing for 23 years straight from school for the same company. Was then made redundant so did a tiling course and tried tiling and decorating for a while.
Doing something totally different now but I’m not sure the grass is always greener?
Still pop into my old firm and get nostalgic now and again.
If you’re fed up, just go self employed and maybe try something totally different?
If you have faith in your abilities (I don’t) you might just go far.

    Got ours tonight.
Six of us out for a Lebanese.
I have no idea if I’m paying for myself, it hasn’t been discussed.
    It’s a night out though isn’t it?

I still find it amazing that you’ve only got to go back one generation to find that drink driving was more or less ‘acceptable’.
