I have exactly the same problem on my 2009 RP2.

Did the full service solve it? And was it done free?

Will it not last for 1/2 the time = pointless.

When I am riding races I want to use bottles but no matter what I use they fall out of the holder. A loop or strap will cure this.

Does anyone do a cage with a bottle strap and bottle combo???

What gets me is people not doing their research before listing.

Selling handle bars for £40 + pap that are used and you can get the same new for £39 delivered!

If you offer them at £30 someone may have them.

Ebay is a good way to gauge your selling cost but there are muppets on there also neglecting their research.

MTFU, that is one of the reason kids nowadays get ill all the time. No imune system. I am always digesting horse and sheep muck along with mud etc. Just wipe the spout on your top 😆

At the moment all of my rides are at night and solo.

I do a very similar route so people know where I go. I prefer it at night as there is always the slightly scary, s##t yours pants moments when you realise it was a shadow of a tree rather than a witch on a broom stick!

I tend to ride normally, push myself on hills and come back down at normal speed.

If your lights are good enough, why ride differently?

I have two P7 torches and take 4 batteries out with me along with a phone, ipod, normal tools and rain jacket.

    I LOVE IT!

Yeah, thats the run I am thinking of. Not beaded in and rather loose top soil.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, may be new but cant say I have ever seen anything apart from the one described. Does it start before the tree drop off just after the large bomb holes (there is a jump in there)?

Is this not the start of the old downhill run?

You start by going of the big drop with a large tree on with lots of roots and then after the drop branch left where the trees have been felled. It then goes towards the road then switches back, over the main path to the section that looks new (very peaty and not bedded in) this then flow all the way down to a stone track.

Take a right you hit the Cotswold way, as you hit that there is a jump on the left hand side on the corner of the cross roads.

Go over that then you hit a jump over a wall and then the fun begins with a huge fast burmy run. Then it just ends and you have to walk up the track you just came down.

    That one?

    Or get a bargain! 😀

If you look at the specs they are very good value for money.

AFI Crash Love is brilliant, totally love it.

New Brand New album Daisey is also brilliant.
Waiting on the new Skunk Anansie album, can't wait especially as I am seeing them in November.

Currently playing regional prem 1 but national league is the aim of the team this year.

I think over training could be it and also that my muscles have learn't the route as it is the same most rides.

Think a few weeks off and then out on the road bike to get the legs spinning at a higher RPM to get them going again.

Nah, not the hockey, been playing for 21 years with no real issues.

Play Premier division level so it is very competitive and demanding, but the knee injury happened 8-10 weeks ago.

I am off the booze for 2009 and not had a drop, liquids seem to be fine, but will have a closer look.
As for MTFU, try playing against 10 men with sticks that want to hurt you, a bll that gets hit at 100 mph and is hard plastic and the goal keepers rugby tackel you for fun wearing full body padding.

    Football is easy!

I have 2 P7 torches from DX. One on the helmet and one on the bars and all my mates are buying the same set up. For £80 for 2 lights, 6 batteries, charger, 2 helmet mounts, 1 bar mount and a UK/US plug is brilliant value for money.

OK they are not 900 lumen like claimed (actually between 420 and 500) but 1000 lumen for the two combined is brilliant.

I am still fitter than I have been in years an maintaining a very healthy weight. May have to take it easy over the winter and concentrate on running and field hockey.

I am not going to claim to have found the problem until I have ridden it for a good few hours but!

After taking out the seat post I noticed that the rear bearings near the bottom bracket have an axel/shaft going through the frame so that the frame doesn't take all the weight and it is evenly spread.

The axel looked like it was dirty, so (I know you guys don't like it but) gave it a few squirts of GT85 and left it for a bit, cycled the rear up and down and gradually the noise went. After a bit more lube and more cycling it has stopped.

The long term fix I guess is a full strip down and apply a proper grease to it but for now it appears to have worked and hopefully will stop me getting distracted on the trail.

Worth a strip then and grease the bearings or just new bearings?

    Simple and works really well.

Going to grease up the seat post and clamp to rule that out and then strip the rear swing arm off and see if I have a dirty bearing.

Swayndo, all I have done is cut the nut and bolt off and drilled 2 holes either side wide enough for cable ties and then simply threaded onto helmet. SIMPLES!

I now use 2 of these and carry 2 spare batteries and a tesco cheapo LED light. Looking at the Luminous light for bullet proof lighting but not just yet.

Bushes fitted today and the click is still there.

Have sat on the bike with all cables loose and out of their mounts and still it clicks.

I have let the air out of the shock and it still clicks.

I have GT85'd all of the pivot bearings inside and out and also loosened of the shock securing pins so will see what it is like tomorrow.

    Whats next? Pivot bearings?

Everyone I know has called me bonkers, nuts, pshyco, or worse over the years. Guess they don't understand the appeal of really pushing yourself in all conditions.

Plus most of them have gym memberships that have never been used and are scared of the dark.

I hope you have contact numbers for some witnesses as I had a similar thing happen in B&Q and the insurance company needed loads of details to varify the claim.

Good to see the police taking an active roll. Was it your local police or Cwmcarn police you called?

I do 3 x 2 hour rides a week after work and 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon.

    I wear,
    running tights
    padded baggy shorts (with liners)
    normal xc gloves
    a breathable jacket
    Buff
    Overshoes.

Also, I ride with a DX MTE SSC P7 flashlight with a cheap tesco unit for back up.
