Spent all yesterday doing ours here at home.

But this wont help if you have no water.

Hot water in a bucket, get a towel, put the bucket of hot water as near to the pipe as possible, put the towel over the pipe like a tent.

This helps to trap the hot air and will gradually warm the pipe.

    Sticky piston.

Pads out, lightly pump the lever and then give a good PTFE lube spray.
Then push the pistons back and repeat until both move.

Why would you need spares direct from them?

I guess only if you break part of the rear swing arm.

Bearings are standard sizes and can be purchased for less than £2 each.

Seems like a bargain to me.

Stay at home, not worth the risk.

Decent shoes and then use the rest on a jacket.

Love this bike, was going to get one but went for my Merida.

Only thing I would do is change the cage to black or carbon!

    Nice work Rob.

Often wondered how I would do that if I could be bothered to use a rear gaurd.

Glad I am not the only one falling off every couple of metres. Well fun! But your legs will feel it tomorrow.

I never ride race track that way, I always come up from the bottom.

It is very cold up there.

Igot a portable DVD player for £60 and stick it on a shelf in the garage and watch that while training.

Most valuable part of the body that has the greatest exposure = Brain.

Hard concrete, tarmac, rocks under you while on a bike and you fall off at speed, you are almost guaranteed to hit some part of your head.

If you are on a bike, wear a helmet simple, why take the risk?

Nice one buddy, was an amazing ride but took forever to get round.

It was funny as I could see where you had moments and rode passed thinking, ha ha, but then 5-10m later i was foot down spinning out.

Will be out this weekend methinks.

It is nearly as bad as riding through sand.

My local ride is 13 miles and takes roughly 1 1/2 hours in the winter.
Took me 2 1/2 hours yesterday and my legs today are in a mess, cramp after cramp after cramp.

Nah, these were not trailrakers I followed as I was laying those tracks down. Very odd, looked like Maxxis pattern but not Crossmarks.

Yep, 30 mins is my twitch period too.
I have lowered the saddle by 10mm and this has sorted it as I found I was rolling a little too much.

As Glentress and Innerleithen are different sites I want to get the most out of them in a short time frame (2 days riding), is it worth doing the Glentress black run or stick to the red as I hear spooky wood is brilliant?

I rode with 661 Airflows all summer and they were brilliant. Easy to wash and are still perfect after 600 miles of use.

Only advice, go one size smaller as they do stretch.

The hardest thing will be training. Sitting in the saddle for 8 hours is bloody difficult when doing off road marathons but 18 hours.

I cannot even start to imagine how I would train for that.

It may be worth riding for 4 – 6 hours without cycle shorts to teach your bum what 18 hours with them on is like.

Looks like 6 days in Scotland now as 7staines will be a good 3 days riding. What does North Wales have to offer?

Always open to suggestions. I agree with you, but a mate from Canada has never ridden Sherwood pines and has suggested there.
