There is a sweet downhill run off the back of the starting mound. It heads down the back of the hill towards Cranham/Main Road.

I need to get up there an have a look at what has been built as it has been a year or so.

Mmmmmmm didn't think of just the 4 on the helmet.

Is that all you use? Is it comfortable (light and not bulky)?

Does anyone know where I can get a beam picture from to see how much light it gives out?

Last 3 months i would say 300%. But have 2 new bikes and lots of new clothes etc.

But on average I would say 5% for maintenance, tools, parts etc.

Will be 100%+ this month on lights and MOT of the car.

I was up the woods on Sunday 9-12 but spent most of my time riding the shrine, one who waits and race track.

They were watching you put the kit in the car no other answer as they wont chance busting into a car for £100 bike. These guys know what they are doing. For the amount of business/foot flow they get they can afford to have a security guard in the car park.

As Goan said, then go up the road and try and ride no handed. You will find out if it is out of line. But remember, one of your eyes may have a a slightly different angle so doing the looking at it with one eye closed then the other doesnt always work.

Last resort is to make sure the wheel is straig and then hand plumb lines of the bars either side and check the gaps between them SIMPLES!

It's funny but I think it may be more than a few scum bags.
Organised bike crime is now such a huge problem most counties have set up specific divisions to try and deal with it. You will see lots of posts on here from a Bristol Policeman trying to get bike back to people and taking leads from us.

I guess all you can do is make sure the bikes are covered or you take them up onto the balcony when you have finished your ride and look them up there. But at night I sleep with mine in the tent.

Did you know you can get motion detection lights and alarms for tents now! May be worth a look at that.

Brilliant, had mine for 18 months and have been used on my xc hardtail. I have had to true the rear once which was easy, bearings are still perfect and the free wheel/hub still runs perfectly. Ignore people who say they are heavy. My 2008 set with an XT cassette on weigh in 1944g (measured on bike shop scales a month ago).

They came with Kenda Nevegals and have to say, my Trance had a few different sets of tyres over the 3 years I owned it, but the Nevegals always felt spot on. I ran 2.1 but a friend uses the 2.35 sticky compound and loves them.

My Trek EX8 has Bontrager Rythem Comp wheels and tubeless ready tyres. No kits get supplied with them. Good old condom thin innertubes.

This has only happened in the last 24 hours. And noticed it today when my indexing went up the swanny!

Hoped it would not be that as I currently have another rear wheel in pieces waiting for 3 new bearings.

Guys this is another set of wheels to hang up till I get it sorted. Back to the Mavic Cross Ride back ups again!

    mrmo, what obvious one?

Popes Wood. There are 2 main down hill runs that are OK.

But they lead down from the top of the hill down to the top of the steep port way climb (just before it flattens out at the top)

Go behind the royal william and go upto the first car park. Go through the gate on the right a head right. Keep riding straight and you will find a large open area with 2 different drop ins. Use the one in the middle go down it over the jump and then straight right. The run follows the road down. Once at the bottom of the run, go left and work your way up the seriously worn briddle track. And do it all again!

Yeah, I was on the Trek. Were you on the old skool Marin or in the BF jersey? We were amazed at how it dried out in 24 hours. Teachers was still saturated in places. Even saw Mr Bigfoot himself up there (Graham and Sheila) on new bikes.
