What’s the internal diameter of the joystick mount?

The start is along Towngate, down the side of The Cross pub, forks right after about 200yds. As for back into town, road is the easiest, or you can fork off halfway along the midgehole road, carry down some steps, then follow the riverside path back along.

I picked up some some cheap five ten Diddie Schneider’s from CRC. They’re clown size only, but were under £40 so I thought worth the risk of them being aimed more at DH riding. I’ve got to say, inn really impressed! Well made, pretty waterproof, lace flap, sewn in tongue etc. They don’t feel heavy, and are really comfy to peddle in, something I wasn’t expecting with them being more boot-like. Only had them a couple of weeks, but I think they’ll be great, especially for the winter!

We all still on for tonight again, 7.30 at old gate. I’ll be bringing 4-5 of us down from Foot again, thinking of a ride over Midgley Moor sort of direction if it doesn’t piss it down all day.

We’ll be out on Tuesday from Foot if you fancy that. The pace will be a bit slower, and the piss taking a bit more intense

Aye, was a good ride out, thanks Daz – I hope we didn’t slow you 3 up too much! Same time same place next week? I can put together a ride on the other side of the valley?

I noticed it afterwards Phil, but couldn’t edit it. And then realised I couldn’t be bothered. Anyway, another productive afternoon at work….

No probs Nick, we’re heading over Norland this week so it won’t be as HB based as it usually is anyway. If you’re back in time we’ll see you in foot, if not we’ll see you next week.

If anyone sorts a list for Thursday I’d like to be on it too please

I’ve just quickly knocked up a facebook group for our Tuesday night rides. Feel free to join / come along – the more the merrier.

They don’t tend to come up our end of the valley much, but I presume you’re all aware of the CMBC ride from The Watermill on a wednesday night? Not gone out with them yet, they all look a bit too much like they know what they’re doing…

No probs, we’re out pretty much every week, rain or shine (or snow, hail, lightening). It’s 4-5 of us at the mo on a good week, don’t know how well you know the area, but if you’re driving down there’s a little car park next to the canal opposite the Brandy Wine.

There’s a few of us go out on a Tuesday night from Luddendenfoot most weeks. Meet at 7.30 on the bridge over the canal, out for a couple of hours and back to the Weavers after, you’re welcome to come along. Most rides head in the direction of HB, Stoodley Pike, Hardcastle Crags, Midgley Moor area, occasionally heading Sowerby way instead.

I’ve just ordered a couple of Frog 52’s for our twins’ 5th birthdays. Advantages over the the Islas were being able to try them in the shop (i’d have ordered the 48’s going on the size guide, but they can manage the 52 and it should be fairly future-proof), the price – I’ve got them for £230 each from Leisure lakes, the equivalent Isla is now £330, and the frog comes with mudguards, and lastly I think they just look better! I know this shouldn’t really matter, but my kids can’t wait to get their team Sky and Spotty new bikes – which should hoepfully mean they’ll want to ride them more. Only time will tell about the resale value compared to Isla, but that doesn’t matter too much in the grand scheme of things. I’d be more botherd if I spent that much cash and they never left the garage!

Don’t think you’ll see much on Monday, it runs Friday to Sunday for some reason…
