Garmin Forerunner 405, also use the bike sensor on my road bike. The website for recording logs isn't too bad either

Two solutions I found, Kettlebell and barefooting. Take it easy and the kettlebell will provide all round conditioning and strengthen the back and core. Barefooting allows the back to work naturally, so again strengthening the body as it was intended. This is an extract from a book called Born To Run, I ride hardtails, singlespeed, road bike and trail run. I gave up on chiropractors, they wanted to sell me shoe inserts to correct my back injury, whilst giving me pointless exercises.

I like Salomon XA but the grip clogs quickly, although I always have a pair and recently picked up the LAB version, with integral gaiter. For mud Salomon Speedcross 2 has fantastic grip, like Trailrakers for my feet. Also use La Sportiva's Wildcats and Crosslight, ran around Chamonix mainly in Millet Pulsions and La Sportiva Wildcats. Salomon XT wings are good too, the better half has them, along with North Face Arnuva Boa and Millet Veloceraptor. I now realise we have too many runnning shoes to go with the stack of tyres!

I also run a lot in Vibram Five Fingers, great for foot strengthing and technique development. 'Barefooting' is becoming my preferred method of trail running in the local woods, the singlespeeding of running. Just prefer something a bit bulkier for mountain running.

I've just got back from a trail running trip to Chamonix and watching the Mont Blanc Ultra, the most popular lamps we saw were Petzl Myo, especially the RXP model. I felt a bit overkill as as I used a Hope One Adventure, heavy but the ground was lit. The Petzl Ultra were popular too, but price is scary high. We also carry the Elite by Petzl just in case we have battery failure.

    Thanks,

I thought it would easy, I'm just missing my bike tools since they all got nicked when some scrot broke into my car whilst we went biking.

I was thinking of getting my LBS to do it, and just take the new cog with me.
