TrustPilot Garmin rating down to 1.6 now from 1.8 yesterday.
    How low will it go?

@Houns Agree can’t describe why I don’t like Mann. Will check out Finn’s podcast 👍

This series is depressing, but more annoying is the TMS coverage. Too much Simon Mann and not enough Aggers. Finn is nothing on Vaughan. All a bit dumbed down, lacking the critical bonhomie which defined TMS previously. Maybe it’s just the crap England performance making me unduly grumpy…

MTB and gravel bike have the longer axles on Crank bros pedals and that feels nicer than the narrower width on my road pedals. Very anecdotal but I defo prefer it

Wonder if those who managed to order on 24th got their watches, whereas those who ordered afterwards didn’t (thinking about the epilogue text for the film) 👍

Typical Garmin guff, probably organised by the same person who organises the menus on their devices.
    Here’s a code if anyone wants it, I don’t

Oral-B sensor job, didn’t like the high frequency buzzing of the Philips, but I have sensitivity teeth 😢

We use the George Foreman grill thing only to make toasties. It gives more flexibility, especially in allowing cheese to be applied to the outside of the bread (obvs in addition to the layers inside)

Another Goldrush user here, tried both drop out positions, sticking to shorter one, no reason to go back so agree they’re pointless. But the bike is brilliant, I’d pay extra for that geometry, it just romps along. I’ve done stuff I used to do on the hard tail quite happily,
loved the badger divide on it even down the Corrieyairack pass in the dark and rain after 12h riding it made me giggle with confidence to go faster. Really a great bike. Workmate has the Tempest, it feels more like a road bike or cx bike (like my old Orro terra). So worth the £300 extra I my mind

Dismal. They need someone to spice up the batting, a little unpredictability. Put Livingstone in, oops no he didn’t go.
Prepare for a rapid Aussie 200 declaration, then skittle us out and play golf on day 5.

Oh dear me. England failure of planning and execution. Australia successful planing and execution.
Not hopeful for this rest of the series

M&S ones – the cognac smothers the fruity tang of the mince, so it’s a no from me.
Greggses ones are the best I’ve had so far

Donation made, hope to make it but work might get in the way so may go alone on Sunday 👍
The leaves and grass are in the perfect state at the moment for combining with the clag to clog up your fork. I like the scraper idea, have previously taken part of a wire coat hanger on rides! The “round the field” bridleway near Barton End being my fab area for ride and scrape

Gigaclear are busy digging up round Nailsworth / Horsley at the moment, and have dug up most of the villages from there to Chippenham and beyond…

jon_n seen that, sadly no plans for doing this to Burleigh so we’re left with 2km of copper to the cabinet. Keep registering interest with gigaclear/fastershire and no progress. Spoke to the openreach chap a while back and he said that the fewer the houses in a settlement/greater the distance from existing trunking/geographical issues like Minch common means we are way down the list. FTTC has helped but the long copper slows it down and makes it unstable in a breeze. Got bored of telling OR about the trees on the line/fallen cable areas etc. Still we have 4G 👍

Gumleaf – the British gentleman’s welly, none of that foreign lechameau or Aigle muck. 😂
Seriously had all 3 over the years and these are the best, Norfolk made, vibram sole, neoprene lined, perfect

Mboy off thread a bit but I also have a Goldrush and think it is really fab, did the badger divide on it and it is great! Quick question have you tried the geometry change? Seems like a bit of a faff to me as the rear mech changes in position so you have to shorten the chain and adjust the b screw, so hardly “on the fly” stuff. Was thinking of using a mech extender to keep it in the original position or even trying to get a separate mech hanger made with two mountings (1 for each position). Have been in touch with PX and they don’t have much insight into the change other than shorten the chain and adjust the b screw! Any thoughts?

Happened to me a few years ago on a narrow road in Painswick S Cotswolds, black Audi Q something went round me at the red in the middle of the village where it’s v narrow and straight into the front of a police car, they weren’t happy (Audi and fuzz)

Hoping to make it, may be working that weekend in which case it’ll be coffee at the Carrot! Trails are sloptastic at the moment, especially around Barton End and down to the Weighbridge, hope they’re featuring Tang 👍👍

I wash bike as normal, let it dry then by hand pedal backwards. If you’ve got a few links where the wax has gone the chain will be v stuff/crinkle/refuse.

Have this is my elbow when I sleep with my arm folded, I wear a brace at night to keep it straight and it goes away. Then I did the badger divide about 4 weeks ago and got it in my palm (local pain over nerve) with bottom 2 fingers numb and tingling. 3rd finger almost ok now, little one about 50% better – rest, anti-inflamm, massage of palm. Been riding again for last 2 weeks, been told it may take months to resolve.

+1 for Bath. Arrive by train, stay at 8

    https://www.eightinbath.co.uk/

    eat there one night too.

Do a Roman baths spa day, mooch round the city, SUP on the Avon, hit Komedia for some comedy, theatre royal for some culture, eat cheese at the fine cheese company cafe, relax.

Love this! Recently got rid of my SII lightweight (with a V8!) not sure if I want another Landy challenge – 6 bolts to remove, 5 come off in 5mins, the last takes the rest of the day. Love the IG

Strong work Aberdeenlune! Did Inverness to Laggan about 10d ago and it took just shy of 8h on a gravel bike, headwind and rain were a bit keen (my slowness excuse!)
