The course is the same for everyone. Just ride it like Sara said. (perhaps somewhat bluntly).

I bet she gets fed up of all the emails regarding profiles! Just turn up and ride is the best bet I reckon.

    AY-UP.
There are brighter lights around but these are more than adequate and for ease of fitting and battery life etc, I reckon theyre amongst the very best.

The morbidly obese people I see on every morning commute with Greggs pasties and a bottle of cheap immitation red bull for breakfast. Makes me shudder.

Who has the right to say what kind of vehicular access should be be allowed where?
Some muppets on mountain bikes, skidding down steep descents cause untold damage. If motorised vehicles are used properly and with a bit of common sense, (i.e. not using byways which are obviously over used/waterlogged etc) I don't see why all people can't get on together.
To say motorised vehicles should not be allowed and mountain bikes should, is a biased view.

Shame really. Events at Kielder are usually really well attended. I reckon it's a function of the lack of advertising, which is probably due to the lack of time they perhaps had to organise it?
Mate said only 10 people rode in the six hour?

Any reports on how this went?! Didnt make it up in the end.

I'll be there but only in a pit support role for a mate. As many laps as you can do in three hours I guess. Not sure how long a lap is yet mind.

I didnt see much of the campsite or the arena, but I was impressed with the shower and toilet set up. Much much better than at 10 at kirroughtree.
I reckon the solo tent was empty as I think the majority of us (somewhat antisocially perhaps) have our own gazebo's trackside.

First ever 24 solo for me. Managed 24 laps in about 24hrs 40 I think.
Really really tough. Hands are completely numb and arse is in tatters. I will be back though, but on a short travel full suspension.

Well done to Mike though. I came across you on my second to last lap (I was wearing green and white infinity cycles kit) and you were crawling along even slower than me. Heroic ride that fella and a cracking attitude to have.

I spoke to them about this the other day. He said it was because of the new system theyve put in place.

Cant help you with the locknut key, but I have had sticking pistons in the past. Resulted in heavily biased pad wear, but no squeaking to speak of.
The stickiness came about as a result of the pistons having to be extended further and further as the pad wore out. The chrome on the piston then wore off meaning it would not retract back into the caliper. I tried everything to file them back down, pressing them back in with clamps etc, but to no joy. In the end I had to buy new pistons and then rebuild the calipers with new seals etc, before finally havign to bleed the whole system. Not a difficult job, just pretty time consuming!
    Hope you sort it.

I think he was angered that, (in his words) he was asked to prove his eating prowess, and upon doing so, was described as an animal!

A mate of mine was goaded into doing 10 double cheeseburgers in the office. He duly obliged (in under 30 mins)and was then called an animal by one of the girls who had egged him on in the first place.

    He lost his mind!

I often ride around hexhamshire common, usually starting from Whitley Chapel. Will give you a shout next time if you fancied a blast. Girlfriends parents live in Blanchland, although I havent yet explored that area to its full potential. Heard excellent things though.

As an aside, has anybody used the KCNC jockey wheels?

    dickydutch
    Full Member

The "jockey pulley" is the top pulley (closest to the gears).

The bottom pulley is the "tension pulley"… takes up the slack and doesn't need the side-to-side play.

    Problem solved.

    dickydutch

So as I need to replace top and bottom jockey wheels, I need both tension and guide variety?

Ive had problems with them and found them to be unbearable to deal with. I will never, in a million years, ever give that irish tosser another penny of my cash.

Alberto obviously felt the need to push home any advantage. He knows Andy has the measure of him. Schleck for the win now I reckon.

Good idea on the heat shrink cable. Never thought of that approach. Seems daft that you cant buy the inners seperately.
