+1 for Barn Asia. Always brilliant food.
Little Saigon on the bigg market is also very good and pretty cheap.
If youre after curry, the spice cube in the gate is also excellent. the chef in there has just won curry chef of the year North East.

insure your father (or mother for that matter) as a named driver. Always brings premiums down. Assuming they have little or no claim history and aren’t disqualified etc.

I have just sealed new plaster with watered down emulsion. I was told this is more than adequate. For the little time it takes, I’d do the same on the old plaster.

Yeah four floors – its getting more and more stock as the days go by. Theres a hell of a lot of cash in bikes in that place! Saw some bloke negotiating a pretty tough deal with one of the workers the other day too. Looks promising!

deadlydarcy you really are a prat.
As I said (pretty clearly I think), I didn’t edit it on purpose, hence why I said I stood by the comment. You obviously are so blinkered you failed to notice it. Regardless, the students lost all credibility the moment they started smashing up property a couple of weeks back in London.

whats that based on then deadly? You would have something to say if they were smashing up your property I’m sure. Get a grip.

DOnt know what happened to that comment. But I stand by it. If he was standing protesting in a civilised matter, confrontation would have been avoided.

    Brilliant. Just what he deserved.

Eddie Izzard should get it this year. His marathon exploits were amazing. Regardless of whether or not he is a sports personality.

I was there last night. No snow but a thick frost. Made for brilliant riding. Didnt come across anyone else on the trails either.

How did we get onto Vietnam?
I said I agree with them protesting. Thats fair enough. But you’re a prat if you think rioting is a good way to get things done.
De rigeur back in the day? Complete pish.

I don’t agree with the raising of tuition fees. That wasn’t my point.
My problem lies with the moronic actions of students who are ‘protesting’ at what was previously, before their arrival, a legitimate protest (the likes of which I have no problem with and whole heartedly support). They deserve the kicking the police will hopefully give them.

I’m fully aware what theyre rioting for Elfinsafety. But that doesn’t stop them being complete and utter dickheads for smashing up other peoples property. If I was David Cameron this would make me more determined to go through with it.
    As I said, complete dickheads.

Best looking cars ever made. From a series 1 all the way up to the new TDCi. Like others have said, you either get them or you dont.

The WC cours includes significant sections of the red route. Make sure you have a pop at worry gill and medusa’s drop. Theyre both excellent. The red itself isnt overly technical although there are options en route to liven it up a bit. It’s main draw (for me anyway) is it’s length. It’s about 20 odd miles I think. I really like it although last time I rode it the brake bumps in places seemed worse than ever.

    Go for a defender.
Ive just put mine up for sale, bought a Leon Cupra R. Then realised I couldnt live without it so scrapped that advert and am now selling the Leon! Incredible bits of kit and as long as you dont expect to go anywhere fast, then you'll love it.
Mine is the TD5, and has only ever needed general wear and tear items sorted. Brilliant.

Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. Based on his life in India after escaping a prison in Australia. Brilliantly written book and I will definitely be reading it again. As well as eagerly awaiting the sequel. (Which will no doubt not be as good)

Maybe not for wet winter weather, but for cold dry days, nothings better surely?

dustdevil – I finished in 10hrs 17 I think. Was feeling pretty good after giving you those pills although the last "6.5 miles" were tough. Id forgotten how up and down it was.

Seriously impressive ride from you though as I said. You were tearing it up at Newcastleton!!

I don't think the course was harder to be honest.I think I ache more this year because it was a lot faster and drier so felt obliged to ride it harder!

Yep – they have hire bikes. Might be wise to book with it being summer holidays although they seemed to have loads and loads.
