There didn't seem to be as many cases of evilness and calculated depravity in 'times gone by'. When kids knew from an early age what was right and wrong. I also cant help but feel that kids then knew what would happen is they acted in such a manner.

comprehension or not. They need teaching that you can't do that. Lock them up for the rest of their natural (if we're not going to execute the evil little toerags), sterilsie the parents. Job done. A message is sent to all the other verminous kids roaming the streets these days.

Is there a date set for SITS yet? Im interested in that. You reckon you had enough recovery time before kielder last year? I'll have a scout around see what available for Pairs entry then in a suitable time period.

haha. Ive entered 10 at kirroughtree in July – hoping itll be a good way of gauging how far off Kielder I am!! You fancy it? Or a team/pair entry somewhere prior to Kielder?!

Execute them and their parents. The parents are as much to blame as the scum kids.

Why should fat people get a discount to buy a seat next to them? I dont understand that logic.

Because regardless of the seats occupied there is still only ONE person – so only one person to check in, pass through security, pay airport tax, board onto the plane and serve food to.

If it was my airline, I'd be charging as if it were two people sitting there. They're not going to be able to recoup costs by selling half a seat to somebody. Surely they'd be better off selling it at full price, for the minimal costs involved in feeding one person, checking one person in, boarding one person etc etc?

Cyclewise in Whinlatter were excellent when I went for a day courtesy of a birthday present from my SO. Full days riding, no maintenance, cracking views and brilliant coffee.

Question time was complete crap. A bunch of overhyped idiots in the audience who had a perfect chance to tear the vile idiot to shreds legitimately, yet wasted their chance by resorting to shouting and slanging. A dark day in question times otherwise sparkly history.

Ive got a TD5 van back (no windows) etc. Its absoloutely brilliant as an 'everyday car'. I can easily fir two bikes in with just front wheels off. All my kit goes in a storage crate thing and sits on the floor between the two wheel arch boxes. Front wheels as per other replies go against the bulk head.
Buy it – like you said you can always change and you will not lose any money on it through depreciation if you sell within a year.
I can't see myself ever being without one now!!

+1 for varanasi and +1 for booking trains in advance!
Trains were undoubtedly the highlight of my india trip. The stations are a city in themselves!

I spent two months in and around northern India. Delhi is one hell of a place – seriosuly intense and I found it tiring. The trains are brilliant though and dirt cheap.
We did a sleeper train to Mumbai from Delhi – in '3rd class' as there was nothing else available. It was a long journey but really fun none the less. Definitely recommend it, although 2nd class (2ac) is probs better as you get less crowds and air con I think. That certainly m akes a difference when its 40 degrees and youre trying to sleep. If you didnt have time for trains, Spice Jet (or spice air) are a budget plane company who will take you from delhi to mumbai for next to nowt.
Watching the programmes on channel 4 at the moment as part of the indian summer season makes me want to go back again.

Red Fort in delhi is def worth a visit. Id do a day trip to the Taj if possible as Agra is pretty much nothing apart from the Taj. If you end up staying up north, go to Pushkar – a little place which is a mecca for pilgrims. Brilliant place and I can recommend accomodation if needed.

Remember to take immodium – you will likely get some form of stomach complaint. I lost over a stone whilst trekking in nepal and living in india – I only weigh 11stone at best of times!

Im seriously jealous. Any questions, let me know!

    Fop – Agreed.
But I also like my 4×4 as it seems to boil peoples p*iss like nothing else!
I also have a 'normal' car – and I love that too.
mark_b – My 4×4 gets used off road as well!

Why do you "need" suspension on your bike mark_b or "need" a mobile phone? We want a 4×4 because we like them. We've got a mobile phone because theyre handy. Suspension on the bike makes it a comfier ride. We dont have to "need" them?!

Haha. I love the negativity directed at 4×4 drivers. I drive a defender. And dont give a toss what other people have to say about it. I certainly don't drive round for 51 weeks of the year in a state of enhanced self consciousness!
People think they're unnecessary – which may be the case. But, half the bikes on here I'd wager are unnecessary. You can do 99% of riding in this country on a rigid mountain bike?! Who cares what you ride/drive?!

A good reason to have a 4×4 is that I love them! And also dont really give a toss what other people think about them! :D
    That looks excellent fun though.

Headed down there anyway. Car park was completely empty – not a soul around.
Started the hair pin climbs out the car park but was soon reduced to pushing due to the ice.
Decided on just doing the blue run as I figured the rocks would be hidden ont he red route underneath the snow. Turned out to be a good ride. Snow was over a foot deep in places. Whole place was deathly quiet! Brilliant. And car parking was free!!

qcamel – I agree totally with you. It's just a shame to see the small pubs being swallowed up. Although it had been bordering on a dive for a number of years. All credit to them for taking it on!

In one of the many bars 'round the train station'. Despise those places. Perdu even took over Blackie Boy and turned it into an uber trendy, identikit bar.

Barn Asia for their early specials. 5 til 7 I think. Well worth a taxi ride. Some of th ebest pork Ive EVER eaten! And cheap as well.

    Why no riding?!

I use a 90 TD5 as everyday drive. It is true about spending plenty of time on it, but well worth it. Always driven with a smile!

My first ever race last year!
Loved it although it was really tough. Finished with mid table mediocrity. I was pleased though considering the drop out rate!! I was in pain for a good 2 days afterwards. I think I'd ripped the lining out of my throat breathing that hard up the climbs!
