Thanks for the heads up. My parents are stuck out there atm, but I'm pretty sure theyve just booked and paid for a bus trip:-( 14 hour overnight jobby! Hopefully somebody else can make use of this!

Freelanders dont have reliability issues any more than other cars in the TD4 model. The 1.8 petrol version was crap admittedly, but even this can be remedied (if not already sorted under warranty) with a little DIY effort for relative peanuts!!

Lets hope they catch the "harmless, salt of the earth, little tearaways that are good at heart" and string them up with their own wire.

Exactly the same problem on my XT brakes. Strange and really annoying.

MilitantGraham. No problems. And I can sort of see your point. I'm just glad someone has been made an example of at last. NExt time they run a red light, they may well ruin somebody elses life, not least their own.

I live in Sunderland (Definitely not a mackem) and can't wait to get out! A real mountain biking wilderness!!
Wasnt even aware there was any riding to be had around Silksworth? Not seen this guy – might be worth contacting the club that goes from the bikeshop in the City Centre – I know they have a regular group of guys who have night rides. Sounds like he's a complete nob.

I'd be mighty pissed off if someone broke into my house whilst away, but this guy's cat could be int here FFS?! Whilst the initial reaction would undoubtedly be anger, surely you could see that theyre not likely to have broken into your house without thinking it through and it was an act of desperation? Theres some seriously uncompassionate guys in here!!

or you might ride your bike through human shit, a smashed up bath, a couple of saucepans and a load of dog shit too?

Dont know if you noticed, but I edited the post above before your first response. Theres a slight "upwards play" as well. I.e. when pulling up, theres perhaps 1 or 2mm of travel upwards – indicative of worn bushings as well I guess? Thanks for your replies anyway.

Are worn bushings to be expected after 18 months? It had a few longer races last year but no winter riding? Id already priced up TFTuned in anticipation! Heard good things about them.

The inner cable is sealed in the exposed sections by a mini 'sheath' which runs the entire length of the cable itself. The outer is not intended to run full length as far as I am aware?

Excellent news. She shouldn't have been aggravating the situation and got a well deserved clout. The fact she didn't turn up in court says it all. Verminous little do gooder. Probably.

Point is talkemada, Churchill was the bloke who did lead us through the war. Regardless of whether or not others could have done it. (no doubt the could – problem is, they didnt!) Irrespective of his personality traits, he was a great briton in terms of leadership and motivational ability.

Definitely not a waste of time.
I've dropped off the gym in the last 5 months, and have noticed my upper body aches considerably more following a longish (6hr+) ride now compared to when I was doing a weights routine 3 or 4 times a week. Granted, I've become faster on my bike due to the increased time I've gained by losing the gym, but for a 24 hr, I reckon it's essential. It's just a compromise that's needed!

Just collected mine in Newcastle. Almost bought this camera 2 months ago at 180 quid. Many thanks for the heads up!! That 25 quid deal theyre also doing (4gb SD card and case) aint such a good deal. 4gb memory card – 6 quid on amazon. Hard case on ebay – 6 quid. Half the currys price!!!
