@yak I first thought Roxy music for the lastest spanner one but they usually have semi naked women involved, is it the damned – strawberries?

Any Robert Wyatt fans in the house? I can feel a certain recreation coming on but will have to wait until daylight & my wife to come home – alternatively there is a stash of daughters Barbie dolls in the attic…..

With the front wheel off we could get out tandem in the back of out Mondeo hatch, they’re great cars, sad to see the massive SUVs that appear to be taking their place.

Guess that as it used to be a black one whose MOT runs out that one was PX’d for the blue one and the DVLA’s not caught up because the transfer’s in the post.

Or DVLA cockup – my red motorbike (is actually red & V5 says red) is black according to MOT check up…

Too obscure for me but also the yellow/beige & glasses had lead me down another incorrect path ?

Wife was laid low all last week, had a big family do booked for the weekend* which had to be cancelled, turned out both of us tested +ve for COVID & I’ve been pretty crook all weekend & anyone we’ve been in touch with before my wife felt/got ill has had the same ? apparently there is a new strain of COVID doing the rounds. At least it was a nice weekend for social distancing in the garden….

To be fair it was parked up in central London (earls court) so should be pretty nifty in traffic, think I first spotted it about 15yrs ago without such an extreme saddle angle.

Going slightly off topic – Have you ever looked up the police auctions – quite a few Surrons there that I’d think it would be more cost effective to crush rather than put back on the streets ?

I thought the whole point of the single wall was that it help heat the room and improve the draw of the stove?

Help heat the room – yes, improve the draw on the on the stove – not so much.

ah turns out someone (SFL) do make exactly what I need..

Could just as easily put an external clamp band around the stove adaptor.

You need something to reliably stick the barcode to

Just unwrap at the till & leave the plastic there for Tesco to deal with.

think bits of her are probably only a few weeks old. Theres a 31 year old in there somewhere I suppose.

My daughter was on about this the other day, all the youngsters who have Botox, lip fillers etc actually look older to us because they end up looking exactly like the older people who’ve had the same treatments.

so they don’t lose those benefits into a trust fund

Playing devil’s advocate, why shouldn’t they lose benefits if they inherit enough to look after themselves financially?

I can understand if a trust is required if they are not financially competent but for the reasons you state, nope.

In my limited experience we seem to waste an awful lot of NHS resources on giving people an entirely undignified death.

And the burden of proof is on those proposing banning anything. I’ve not read this entire thread, but has there been any proper scientific study regarding the impact of occasional exposure to outdoor secondary tobacco smoke ?

Given just how long it usually takes to kill oneself whilst being a smoker first hand, I would suggest such a scientific study would be entirely pointless, hell there’s even loads of us (Roy Castle aside) who have lived through years of people smoking inside pubs with relatively little effect apart from perhaps a more frequent use of laundry services.

Our plan was kind of similar but more time away than here – buy in-laws wee place in Corsica and spend the busy summer season travelling/visiting family in UK (June July August), pretty much scuppered by Brexit ?

Anyone who blanks number plates on sale ads can do one.

Seeing as auto trader is searchable by vehicle make model year & colour I’d think it a sensible precaution & if you are seriously interested you can phone* & ask, otherwise once you’ve had the pain of a cloned plate you’d understand.

What I’m seeing in the projects I’m involved in, is the client and consultants pushing the design responsibilities onto the contractor and subcontractors more and more, and just distancing themselves from any decision that could come back and bite them, especially where fire is concerned.

+1 it’s definitely having an effect in our line of work & we’re the contractors so often get the shitty end of the stick, but it does make it more onerous for the clients when we have to encroach into their precious sq footage to make sure we 100% comply with their interpretation of the regulations.

I fear this is going to be a costly exercise, when what would really help would be to maintain what they already have.
