    Thanks for the update Mark…

Incredibly slow for me…I’m assuming the findings from Cougar are still being investigated or to be investigated. Although I don’t think my post count would be as high as the big hitters so if it is this slow for me it must be glacial for them…
Saying that, I don’t seem to have the same amount of issues as others…the messaging issue (which was fixed quickly – thanks) and the site load speed (which seems to be an issue for several) – and that isn’t likely to be a quick fix.

I’m only going by the name above the shop door…that says Biketreks…and it is in Keswick, so Biketreks in Keswick – across from the pencil museum.

Hopefully that sorts your query about a completely different shop out. ;-)

Spirit level as mentioned to make sure levers are at same angle. If you then want to get proper mad, get a protractor and measure the angle of the lever that feels good, then replicate on the other side…then check spirit level again.

Just above my ankle bone…I don’t understand mid-length socks – look ridiculous. Unless they are compression socks…but even those aren’t likely to be mid-calf.

I do have slightly longer socks that go about 3 inches above my ankle bone, but any longer and they don’t get pulled up!

I’ve a similar bemusement of trousers that seem to stop way above the ankle (not 3/4 length shorts)…get trousers that properly cover your legs…some people (very much including me) are just a bit weird!

Money…doesn’t really matter how well Nino has done, it is probably still less than TP is making…

Maybe he wants to do more than just road race so his focus isn’t just on that and ineos maybe want him as their road leader…
Apparently he can be a bit annoying (I suspect you would have to be to get that good and stay that good), but perhaps both sides are rubbing the other up the wrong way and things aren’t working out quite so well just now…

That Thirst master thing looks like it should do the job…need dimensions though as it is still £30 to throw at something that may not fit.

You could visit and get the chairlift up and then walk down the course though, so that is still possible, just unlikely to have all the tapes out.

The alloy pad will get hotter quicker as it is lighter and will have less ‘heatsink’ ability…

I’m almost exclusively using a 7kw charger (free use at the office), so my battery gets charged to 100% over about 5 hours during the day – car is 7 months old and done about 6.3k miles.

Think I’ve used a fast charger (22kw) about 5 times and only charged to 80% using that.

My thinking is the 7kw is a slow charge so the battery doesn’t get as warm so the degradation isn’t the same and is far slower.

Selfishly, the car is a lease so will be handed back after 3 years, so I’m not losing sleep over it, but at the same time, I’m not wanting to deliberately ruin the battery.

Foot well and drive slower round corners. Problem doesn’t exist then.

Has been posted on the sticky issues thread… however, I’ve not read it all so unsure of the actual fix, sorry.

Check your Garmin App Connections and see what is getting the Garmin info automatically? Then check those apps and see if you’ve linked Komoot to any of those (and also Garmin). If so, just disconnect the connection.

Don’t take the ebike and have a good day or don’t go…their rules and they’ve stated them on website and confirmed to you.

I’m one of the baffled people who can’t work out why healthy kids need an ebike, hence my suggestion.

On my Enyaq, I shift into drive twice – first one tells me regen is set to automatic and I’m not sure it does anything. So I shift again and it seems to be far more aggressive – I see the blue regen bar showing far more frequently so I’m assuming it is doing much more of that.
I do tend to be able to do 1 pedal driving for vast majority of my driving, I don’t have adaptive cruise control but I suspect I’d be using that constantly if I did.
However, change in weather and a far busier company car park means my charging isn’t quite as simple as it was…but a 4 hour bike ride of an evening isn’t a bad thing!

Yeah, aware all that has an impact on choice…I’m not as heavy as I used to be, but my musings aren’t just based on my riding…got plenty mates who are properly heavy on their bikes and riding far rockier trails than I do and they don’t run them either.
It must work as plenty folk use them, but I also suspect a touch more air and that will help do the same.

Don’t use them and can’t see the benefit of them myself. Seems to be a complete pita to fit (and remove), and if you run a sensible psi, it shouldn’t be really be needed. Sensible being 20-25psi.
Saying that, the only flats that I seem to fix are for the kids at coaching sessions, so appears my mates have their own technique sorted to prevent pinch flats as well.
It appears plenty people can’t ride without them…and there are plenty who can.
I’d try 5psi more in the tyre and see how that goes first. The ebike is heavier and generates more torque so it will cause more erosion, but it will also have slightly heavier impacts, so a wee bit more air should help.

The higher pressure isn’t needed for bike washing…

Pretty sure you can…if the app has it in Courses, you just tell it to send to device, then you sync with device and that is it…done via Bluetooth from phone to unit. Pretty sure it doesn’t go via the website, but once on the app it also appears on the website (so who knows!).

Likewise, if you have the .gpx file on your phone, open it and select the wahoo app to view it and you should be able to send it to your wahoo device – assuming it works a similar way as the Garmin app does…

No evidence to say they did or didn’t make it, but interesting to see the arguments from those who believe either of them.
I hope they had made it, but we won’t know for quite some time yet, if at all.

That isn’t fibre either…fibre stops at the cable cabinet 50 yards from the house. They seem to stream a load of stuff from Sky. I can’t work out why the old man needs 3 things playing at once in the same room!

Was having a nosey at this with my old man…I’ve clearly lost track of broadband bills as the service he has just now offers 230mb download speeds and 150mb upload speeds – but contract is ending. Bt are trying to move him to EE broadband but the 2 packages they are offering are at least half those speeds (£85 per month) or less speed for £75 per month.

I can’t believe the price and I’m not sure it includes a landline (not that that gets used)…

What else is out there for broadband for good speeds that isn’t that price?

Might be worth clearing all your cookies – not great for all other sites you use but if it clears this issue then it might be worthwhile doing.

From the safety of the UK, it is impressive to see, but for those caught in it, it is going to be absolutely awful.
I can’t help but think human activities are helping these things grow and get worse, but I also can’t help thinking that despite us knowing this, we aren’t going to change our ways…
I do hope something drastic changes and it reduces very quickly.

Air dryer and it works well. Not got room to buy another freezer as that is where food is stored, so no room for damp, stinking footwear!

13 – 1 receipt, but 4 tickets for each leg x 3 – 1 ticket each way for you and 1 ticket each way for bike.

Edit – changing this guess to 21 as there will be a confirmation ticket to confirm the booking on each leg (there and back)!

Back to my Messages issue…trying again on desktop and I’ve been checking the Console when loading the page – a few errors pop up but when I click the Delete icon (the bin) it is trying to go to “javascript:void(0);” and looking at the Console, it then gives this error –

um-messaging.min.js?ver=2.3.9:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘tipsy’)
    at HTMLAnchorElement.<anonymous> (um-messaging.min.js?ver=2.3.9:1:6552)
    at HTMLBodyElement.dispatch (jquery.min.js?m=1725982252g:2:40035)
    at v.handle (jquery.min.js?m=1725982252g:2:38006)

No idea if that helps anyone, but it looks like something isn’t quite right.

Ah, just seen pictures above my post…mine doesn’t have the polycarb roof, it is insulated…still plenty rain noise, but it isn’t loud enough to drown a conversation out. I do tend to go to the conservatory when it rains though as I do like the sound – does remind me of camping – bit on the cold side and raining outside!!!
