I’m using proper bonty rim strips and valves on my bonty rims which do the trick on my tubeless setup and no yellow tape was required. I use the stans milk tho as I’m led to believe it’s the best. I’ve not put any air in for over 2 months now. Still perfect. One of my favorite upgrades so far! Instead of tape maybe This might be a more suitable option?

Hope the valve/logo alignment is ok after he llandrillo’d it and he doesn’t dai and that he cwmbach.

I think the op should MonmouthTFU and sort it. If he had Tal-y-bontrager rims this wouldn’t be a issue. Make sure your tyres have plenty of TREDegar and mount them rhondda rim or you might llangadog.

Battled with depression myself but exercise is the best for it as you produce more endorphins (the stuff in the happy pills)* I was doing a lot of walking and spending time with friends doing it and that helped. So good on you for doing it and depression is nothing to be ashamed of.

Oh and don’t forget to fill your rucksack with haribo and aldi’s groovy biscuits 😀

The black at degla is more like the red on the monkey on the chase – you needn’t have missed it out. You’d be stupid to write it off just because you missed out the best bits!

I said that in original reply before they went! ^^^^^

but with out the black you are missing “most” of the fun stuff.

+1 I wouldn’t have done the red only even as quite a new rider. I did the black on my 3rd ever attempt at “proper” mountain biking! As myself and others have said…. Nothing scary!

    the cafe food was immense!

Re my first reply…. I did say to take cafe money! You were warned! 🙂

Ok cool, email addy is in profile. I don’t know where you would park but if you want to meet up on route and follow each other in… I’m not 100% of route around but I can export a gpx file and stock it in my gps. Should be able to go from that. 🙂

Or was the **** **** for the west brom comment? Fwiw not a hardcore fan and hardly talk footy. Just a friend is going on hols and he gave me his and his wifes season tickets. 🙂 most of my friends are wolves fans so no chance of decent footy talk.

Haha, too early for the stw hardcore! 🙂 if no takers I’ll have to leave bike in the shed until next week. Mrs would go nuts if I go on my own. She worries so I have to respect that.

Every proud dads moment! We didn’t do the balance bikes thing with my son and he went unaided without stabilisers at the age of 7. His sister had one and she went unaided and pedaling a week after her brother. (she was 3)

Very proud! No matter how old they are! 🙂

Nice bike, is there a new trend of stashing bits of paper in the spokes and cables that I’ve missed? Please say the reflectors and the rear spoke guard thingy is going?!
When I ordered my bike I told the lbs not to for the reflectors and the bell to save me the bother of taking them straight off when I got home. I said it’s a waste of both of our time. Lol

    I’ll take 10

Sorry there’s only 4 left in stock! They’re flying out at that cheap price! It’s probably restricted to one per household too! 🙁 pmsl

I use a garmin oregon 450 mounted on my handlebars. A bit overkill for your requirements but it carries out geocaching duties too so have full os mapping too.

+1 for britool I got the spanner set and 1/2 drive socket set both imperial and metric. I’ve got no problems with halfords pro as I had those spanners when I first started buying tools at the age of 16 as I was a hgv mechanic. But I found the spanners a little thin and dig into your hands after undoing a stubborn rusty nut/bolt. The halfords pro 3/8 drive socket set however is a nice bit of quality kit and served me well and I still use it now for tinkering with the car and bikes.

So for spanners britool for me every time. Sockets either, not much difference in quality really, just the price.

Edit: 3/8 drive is plenty big enough for bike maintenance.

He said (and he wrote it down so I couldn’t get it wrong) gxp – fsa- aero (which I believe is a carbon jobbie) 52-48…

No good for my mtb. 😉 I’d smash it of the first rock I saw!

But saying that he could be wrong. I’ll inform him then. He’ll be a happy bunny.

Thanks for your replies guys. 🙂 I know what I’m doing the weekend. I’ll post a pic of the finished item.

And that’s why you don’t attempt such jobs outside. Commandeer the kitchen from the Oh and a voilà your temp bike workshop is born! Drop anything then and you know it hasn’t gone far. 🙂

Edit: you’re in arms reach of a endless supply of spoons tyre levers and the beer fridge is close by too!

If there’s one thing I’ve picked up from bring on here is the correct headset logo alignment and the tyre/valve alignment is correct so all looks right which explains the “on rails” experience so you won’t die! 😛 nice colour btw! I’ll be looking for another ht to replace my commuting db mtb next year I should stop looking now…. So pretty!

Do the black. Similar skill level to red at cannock. Oh and take money for tea and cake in the cafe at the end. 😛

Mines a bit sticky when first used if left at full extension but then frees up when used. (ks dropzone)

Make sure you remove the valve core before inflating to maximize air flow. I mounted mine with a track pump. And they were high volume 2.4 mountain kings on normal rims. 🙂

edit: If it goes with a loud bang and there’s stans juice everywhere it means you stuck too much air in or too much too quickly! (yes I did that!)
