Are you so concerned about going out to cycle muddy trails in pristine looking gear? It’s not a fashion show, I believe the phrase is ‘have a word with yourself’

Ok I’ve slapped myself round the face! I’d better mtfu…. But really it looks as bad as a toddler with spag boll ffs! It didn’t bother me too much to start with but Friday my gear looked like it hadn’t seen a washing machine. Lol.

Thanks blazin-saddles. You’ll make someone a fab wife one day. 😀

and thanks saxabar… a proper man’s way. … Now where did I put that vanish oxi and my marigolds? …

I have the non remote version of the dropzone but only had it 2 months so far. But it goes up and down as I want it to and does it smoothly. I will buy the remote kit in the near future.

It loses points as the rear valve/logo alignment is about 7° out. It should be smack bang of the Middle of the two “xx” like the front one. Could be fatal! Sort that then take new pic and I’ll rate it then. 🙂 Oh and fit some real pedals on too. 😀

As a owner of a trek fs I can say that unless you like fettling then go for the whyte. I ended up drilling out my cable stops add I got annoyed with the crud filled cables from the open sections and the x5 rear mech is crap. And I changed a few other things too. Trek frames are fantastic but it’s the low spec components you’ll find yourself changing sooner than you think. I love mine now it’s getting to how I want it.

The only problem with those adapters is that they screw onto the part that is removable. So you restrict the airflow. I got one and it’s useless in the compressors you find on petrol garage forecourts. If you need to go down the compressor route then take your adapter to a proper tyre garage that has a decent old style compressor not the type you pre enter your required pressure as they only do little bursts on the flat tyre mode.

Be careful too as when using the adapter it doesn’t register the pressure with the gauge properly either and will result in a loud bang and stans jizz everywhere. (From experience)

I can get away with my track pump with valve core removes add it seems more effective. Hope this helps.

Excellent news. Good to know there is still some honest folk out there. I found a credit card in the car park at cannock the other week and handed it into the cafe. Result!

Left mine to soak in diesel over night last Friday in a small tub. Cleaned with toothbrush following morning. Replaced the Mrs toothbrush back in the cupboard and hung to dry. Oiled chain and refitted. That was the first time is been cleaned since new 6 myths ago. Easy. 🙂

I’ve used my x9 type 2 today on a blast round the wyre and it never missed a gear. But I upgraded from oem x5 and still using x5 shifters but they didn’t let me down. Best £66 I spent. The extra £16 is worth it for the type 2. seems like a quality product. Only difference I can see between the x9 type 2 and the xt + is that I can’t see that there is any way to turn the clutching mech off like you can with the +. But it didn’t affect the shifting.

Yay finally! Just a shame I’m at work tmw. Unless I can cram a hour or 2 once I’m finished.

here will give you a idea. Think carefully about whether you opt for the dedicated wiring loom (recommended if you have parking sensors) which will (probably) need ecu programming or the relay.

Cool. Glad I splashed the extra £16 for the type 2 then. Result Thanks for the responses. I had to ask as there is always threads on shadow+ but never the sram equivalent. So I guess they’re not as popular.

I approve of the mitres on your skirting boards. Very neat

Thanks I did them myself after the conservatory was built after I laid the laminate flooring through the entire downstairs and I put all new skirting boards and architraves on.

    For your son, right?

    shh I won’t tell if you don’t! 😉

To add to the balance I had a problem with a order a while back and they answered the phone a and dealt with the problem and went a step further in customer relations. I would use them again.

You can track your parcel on HTTP.DPDhasitbeenleftinaditch.co.uk

I had a courier leave a parcel in the wheelie bin once. And the calling card said “in bin”

This is where I got my oregan 450 from and love it. I’m not sure about the dakota but I know the oregon supports heart rate monitors and cadence sensors. The bike mount is a extra tenner.

He’s gayer than Jack McGay from Gaysville but he’s still my eldest son.

Good on you… I have a female friend who’s brother it’s gay and their dad still can’t accept it. It’s a shame when something like that breaks a family up.

On a more serious note has anyone ever actually met a gay mountain biker?

Aren’t they the “mincers” you all speak of on here? Or have I got it wrong? 😀

I’m not going to search “gay” on google images to join in as I’m scared of what I might see and I’m currently out of eye/brain bleach. 😀

    Edit:

Think the term 29’er is the updated phrase

    Pmsl!

Make sure you burr up the end of the liner at the lever end to stop it sliding through the outer. I’ve fitted these myself and they are ace cables. Oh and you’ll need some proper cutters too as the carbon/stainless wired outer is tough & you need a clean cut.

What makes you bad makes you better.

Lethal dose of Rat poison in your tea. That will make you bad…., don’t think you’d ever get better. LOL

I had a otb on my first ever trip to degla, I treat it with more caution now. Luckily I got up and walked away with a few cuts and bruises and a mouth full of soil and pine needles!

Heal soon! You didn’t die so thats all that matters!

I had that mailshot off them too, the picture shows the older model with the silver collar. Not sure which one you’d end up with tbh. Might be worth asking them before buying to find out if it’s the one with the black collar that you’ll receive.

Do you have a removable valve core? Remove it then stick track pump on and pump like your life depends on it. stick it on the bike to take the weight off the tyre so it doesn’t miss-shape the tyre and if you have anyone around to help have them stretch the bead where the valve is to make sure the air is inflating the tyre and not escaping straight away. Wire beaded tyres are the easiest to mount. Obviously when you hear the popping of the beads seating and got about 40psi in remove the pump from valve then I in the other hand have the core ready to stick straight in. use your finger to stop the air escaping in between.

This is my method and they mount first time every time. Or maybe I’m just lucky. 🙂

    Don’t forget valve/logo alignment! 😀
