then spend another 2 hours most of the day pushing

Do I qualify? I like natural trails and trail centres too.

Also my contribution. … You’re miles away from civilisation and you think “nice view let’s find a rock to stand my bike on so I can include it in the picture!”

I got the sram type 2 and you don’t get the option to turn it off. Which is good as it’s something else less to fiddle and muck about with which you can’t forget to mess with before your descent. So I’d leave it on all the while.

I think we need a “what tyre for dog eggs” thread.

The question is. …… is there a bodge adapter type thing to make a tapered fork sit in a 1 1/8 headtube?

I’m crying with laughter here. 😆 my contribution would be faeces Fred or Merde Mike.

edit: beaten to the faeces. … (a sentence I thought I’d never use. … Only on stw.) 😀

Tbf I’ll use mine as when I do my own maintenence on my car I can’t exactly carry out my top box and roller cabinet out as it weights a fair few hundred kgs. And I can’t wheel it out other as it’s too heavy to lift over door steps.

What a completely pointless waste of free plastic.

So not exactly a waste of plastic to the right person. I guess your bike would be a waste of metal or carbon (depending what you got) to a paraplegic. 🙂

You can use it as a crud catcher underneath your bike while it’s on the stand in the house. 😉

Be great for serving wine at barbeques.Or beer.

Wine? Yuk!!! And mtfu and drink your beer straight from the bottle/can saves time and effort.

As for serving. … Isn’t that what the Mrs is for? 😀

I took mine out on there’s the other day but my 4yr old girl had broken her arm (dismounting a trampoline) and so that has put a stop to this summer’s riding. 🙁

edit: great pictures everyone. I hope or kids share the same obsession level of enjoyment in this hobby.

Can you fit some rigid red forks to the sc please as the white sus ones aren’t in uniform with the others and seeing as the sc is the newcomer it should change. 😀

It looks odd but I think I worked it out. Some “idiot” has nicked your gears. And that wall deffo needs re-pointing. 😀

Thanks to you both. I looked at the ones on eBay and I want a green one to match the other stuff on there and therefore need the top cap too. And planet x are doing it complete for £20. I wonder if Brant could shed some light on the seals before I commit to buy?..

I’ve used sterilising tablets in my bladder before now. But you have to rinse it out loads to remove the bleachy taste. So I only do it every now and again. As for milk. … skimmed gives me stomach cramps so I avoid it at the best of times whereas full fat is fine. I can have a bowl of corn flakes for brekkie and ride 2 miles to work workout a problem with the full fat. 🙂

There’s some scarey stuff over kinver. :/ is love to be able to do doubles but no one will pay my mortgage if I break myself. Maybe I should start up a “what wage insurance” thread.

I think the wheel size could be the problem

^^^^This see if audi do a 18.5″ wheel as we all know the extra 1.5″ will make the rollability over the potholes on our well maintained British roads somewhat smoother and you’ll probably require less suspension travel.

Also you will add extra niche to a already niche car. Ftw.

edit: maybe see if it’s available in single speed too. But be careful of a niche overload.

Looked on the Germans Web site and I only see tapered steerers. Do they come in a straight steerer flavour does anyone know?

    Edit: 26″ too

I’m guessing they don’t come with the pannier / bag things? Just wondered as other places seem to sell them with the bags, but CRC don’t mention them.

in the spec sheet at the bottom.

Extras: Fenders, Kona Bell, Acacia Wood Deck, 2 Kona Ute Bags

Slightly off topic… I just followed the suntour vbox link and saw the “recall” link….

Name of product: GT, Giant and Trek Bicycles with SR Suntour Suspension Forks Units: About 17,000 Manufacturer: SR Suntour, of Taiwan and Vancouver, Wash.

Hazard: The suspension fork’s internal support tubes can break and cause the rider to lose control, fall and crash.

Incidents/Injuries: SR Suntour has received 12 reports of incidents with the suspension forks, including two injuries involving a laceration and a chipped tooth. Description: This recall involves the following GT, Giant and Trek bicycles with SR Suntour suspension forks.
    “SR Suntour” and the date code are printed on the back of the fork crown.Bicycles Model / Years / Model Name / Giant / 2011-2012 / Revel 1 & Revel 1WGT / 2012 / Avalanche 4.0 & Avalanche 4.0 GTWTrek / 2012 / 3700D & 3900D

why the “chipped tooth” made me giggle I don’t know why.

There will be BB height and potential fork clearance loss of fork wheel sales issues.

smaller wheels means more Clarence for forks surely? Bb height as stated above. … 12.5 mm…. I’ll take a ruler and measure the next log before I try to roll over it.

But my biggest worry is this. ..

Bet it’ll explode in a ball of confused niche-ness

But I was thinking more of a implosion and could maybe create wormholes on the trails and riders following you could get trapped in a parallel universe. So think about others first op. 😀

It looks fab. … But is that flu too close to a obstruction. I’m not a plumber but have limited knowledge in this field. Just thought I’d mention it add carbon monoxide is quite serious. Might be worth getting a boiler service and asking. Not trying to be a critic, it’s just where kids and lives are concerned. Hth. Maybe there’s a plumber/corgi/gas safe person on here to advise.

This topic is good timing for me as I don’t usually bother but I’m considering them for when I do c2c in a few weeks. So what would be best suited for that? (Apologies to op for thread invasion).

Take it to a local small clothing store with your proof of purchase to prove your genuine and offer them a small offering either to them or their charity box on the counter add a thank you. Or just mail it back to them.

+1 for the fuel ex. Love mine. Feels nice to me. But it’s all personal preference. My friend doesn’t like the feel of my bike and I don’t like the feel of hers. You might as well start a “what tyre” thread. 😉

IMO Stabilisers are a waste of time, as its the balance that is important, not the pedalling

    ^^^This definitely.
