called Aldi but unfortunately the nearest one to me with them in stock is an hour away in Swadlincote and was reduced to ÂŁ160 not ÂŁ140

Love the tapered steerer in the straight headtube.
I might go order me some new pikes after seeing that for my 2012 trek. 😀

Would now be a good time to mention wheel size? 😆 😈

I find it easy. (Been artic driver for 11 yrs) it’s something you couldn’t just get behind the wheel and go and expect to be brilliant. But I first started driving them at 17 yrs of age shunting them into the garage as I was a mechanic. So as soon as I put L plates on a car and mastered the clutch I was moving 38 tons (long time ago) of petrol tanker around the yard.

But it’s the same as any trade. You stick with the mentality that there’s always room for improvement and you will always learn. You think you’re the best then you become one of the idiots that can’t drive for toffee. myself. . I’m always learning.

But this question I could ask to a plasterer or a chippy. .. Their answers would be the same.

Pmsl you guys aren’t really doing much for the stw stereotype here by backing up the “coffee snob” part. 😀 Fine ales of the cask variety yes, but coffee
    Bleuuuggghhh.

    Now for the big question.
what cup size for coffee in Wales @ 80°c
. To bring the flavour alive.

op stick to tea Ftw!! 🙂

I had a 54 plate scenic for about 5-6yrs. Tbh it was a dull car to drive the body roll and handling was awful comparable to driving a blancmange. The engine however (I did my research about Renault 1.9dci engines popping turbos around 80-120k) I opted for the 1.5dci which was very cheap to tax and insure.

Both front dropped to the deck without warning (a common problem which I’m shocked hasn’t already been mentioned is a £250 fix with dealer or £20 if you buy the bits off ebay and fix yourself! (Also had to fix neighbors scenic and moda window).

The car in general didn’t give me many problems but I got rid as it started to play up. The electric handbrake was being very unpredictable if it was off and popped up with a fault your park brake was not going to activate! If it was on and it flagged a fault on start up then it wasn’t going to come off! leave it for a hour go back and it was fine! This was a dealer only fix and was gonna cost £700! The car was only worth £750!

I now have a Zafira 1.9 CDTI Design 150Bhp and love it! I always had Vauxhall before this French experience and I won’t be going back! HTH

I have one within 2 miles of my house and is very handy if I need cables or stuff for my hack/commuter because of how close it is and its late opening hours.

But for my trail bike its LBS (Leisure Lakes) or online. 🙂

Avids, Tektro, Hayes, Formula. All leaked or induced air into the system when hung

I put my bike in the car upside down (for quite a few hrs at a time) and no probs here with my hayes! I think you need to invest in a bleed kit or find a better lbs! 🙂

Garmin Oregon 450 here too! Decent size screen but not too big, it runs on AA (use rechargeable 2800 Mah for best battery consumption) The advantage is you can carry spares so your safe in the wilderness and it’s fully waterproof and a handlebar mount is available. The touchscreen can be used with stylus or gloved fingers! FTW! HTH

Engineering Manager for a tyre manufacturer
.Job is pretty interesting though travel & working hours requirements would better suit someone without a family.

So you’re the one to ask next in a “what tyre for.
” thread then. 😀

I removed the oem Trek plastic one and replaced it with Sa tape. You get full protection from cassette to bb. Unlike the oem one and it’s nice and tight against the frame.

I’m running the 2.4 tubeless. 26″ and they come up huge had both wire bread and protection folding. Running them ghetto tubeless but they go up on the track pump with the core out every time.

They do need a bit of time to seal as they are quite porous and you see tiny bubbles coming through the wall. But they seal eventually. Been running them tl for about 8 mths now.

edit: When I say huge I mean they are a high volume tyre.

I agree. They are fantastic and have never let me down and provided me with excellent advice and service. Only downside Lack of biscuits and cake. But I always support them with my trade when I can.

I had a brake shoe lining stuck to the inside of the drum once and when it when bang as I tried to pull away I thought weird. . I stripped drum off to find the lining had come off the shoe all together and was floating inside drum.

A 650ml beaker really makes the rinsing come alive

This made me laugh so much I nearly knocked my beaker off the bedside cabinet. 😀 I’m in pain through laughing. This has to be reply of the month.

+1 for flying snakes. Not touched them since they were installed 7-8 mths ago. That’s regular rides in Cannock sandy crap and wyre mud. Well worth the money. I was cleaning the oem jagwire cables out almost every ride.

Haha mine landed this morning and Mrs D was about to launch a “what have you been ordering” attack how happy I was that it was a free sample. I live to ride another day. The letter made me chuckle “So far no death threats to the family” 😀 although my letter isn’t on the official letter head like the one pictured above. So I guess they resorted to photocopies because of the demand.

Thanks op I’ll put it in my cupboard and see if I remember next summer.

I only had one balance bike for my daughter. Without brakes and the transition from balance to the normal bike was pretty much seem less. so I wouldn’t worry too much about brakes.

that is possibly one of the most stupid and reckless things a parent can do.

^^^^ Deffo this!! His wheels are far too small. He needs a £8k bike with 650b wheels first. 😀

edit: on a serious note tho my parents never knew where I was when I was a kid. I was building ramps out of timber I used to find that someone had fly tipped somewhere with house bricks. If my parents knew they would of been a wreck. I could of been doing anything and they wouldn’t of known. My mates used to jump 20 ft off the lock walls into a dirty canal in the summer. But yes I’m now a over protective parent because of what I used to do and see.

I have also used this trick once or twice before. Risky business though

I know the whole “what women say and what they mean are two different things” but they have to remember that men are simple creatures and everything has to be black and white not in code.

So if she says “buy it” then do it before she explains it was sarcasm. Hehe

Unless the OP is slow witted and doesn’t understand sarcasm.

Then it serves the op’s gf right for being sarcastic. 😉 the OP clearly heard her say to buy a new bike and a new bike he shall have! Whether she meant it sarcastically or not she still said it!! 😀

Well it looks like a ks dropzone like mine. I thought I could buy the remote kit at a later date. How wrong was I as the remote doesn’t convert the non version. after trying a bike with a reverb on I’d wished I’d waited and got the reverb. The remote makes the difference.
