At the risk of being called pedantic, they’re hoses not cables, and are made up of several layers.

If you download the map from MBWales you should be able to work it out, plus all the other bits you can link or miss out.

Something with wide handlebars to mount your iPad or whatever so you can watch movies to pass the time. It’s excruciatingly boring!

Didn’t you see Top Gear in China a couple of weeks ago? They even make ‘fake’ cars. Don’t think you can get them on flea bay yet though.

The mech will be fine but you’ll probably have to adjust the stop screws. It’s only the shifter increments which will be different, so you’d only need to find/give him the 9spd shifter.

^^ 2nd the above. Why not see if you can get some cheap 9 speed shifters on classifieds or clearance? Unless you’re planning on returning the other stuff for refund.

Judging by some of the comments on here we shouldn’t ride on country lanes either, as the speed limit is 60 mph. Some of you need to get a grip ffs. Hope this w@nker gets a long jail sentence, but it’ll probably be a 12 month driving ban, licence endorsement, community service and suspended sentence.

Sorry to hear about that. Would you care to elaborate on location. I’ll keep an eye out at Cwmcarn and Abergavenny area. Known bike thieves operating out of Pontypool.

Torn between a 15″ and a 17″. Anyone ridden both and can provide some feedback? I’m 5’7″ with a 29″ inside leg and currently ride a 17″ PA.

I forged mine for a well known event in the French Alps. Quite easy to find a nice header on t’interweb, print it off and add the above ‘no contra-indications etc etc.

Aaaargh….already have a grey 725, which I love to bits. I don’t need an 853 but really really want one….in Kwacker green. Might pay to go down a size too. Truth be told, I want a Holeshot and an Alpine too!

“Trucks entering a city centre should be required by law to fit censors”

Does that mean some crusty old f@rt telling us what we can watch at the cinema has to sit in the cab shouting out of the open window through a loud hailer? Or do they mean sensors?

I repaired a tear in my wife’s jacket a couple of years ago with a sticky Gore Tex patch and it’s been fine. Hers was only a single layer though.

I don’t think someone selling a dodgy bike would ask for cash on collection or offer it for viewing

I think someone selling a legit bike would at least be expected to know the name of it, considering it’s even written on the top tube in one of the photos 8O

Moving it on for someone perhaps?

When my wife’s bike was stolen she spotted it a couple of weeks later on E-bay. She informed the police and was told that the frame number alone wasn’t enough information for them to act, even though you can clearly see the shop sticker at the top of the the down tube. Looking at the seller’s history it was blatantly obvious what he was (and probably still is) up to. The insurance paid out but it’s galling to know he’s got away with it.

What size frame is it? If it’s an 18″ I’ll give him £50 for it. :-)

Failure to anticipate seems to be on the increase, and it doesn’t seem to cross people’s minds to slow down. I had someone flash their lights at me last night as they pulled out to overtake a coach on a dual carriageway, after I’d indicated and overtaken them when they were a good 200 metres behind the coach. Did they think I was supposed to wait and let them out? I hadn’t boxed them in, I wasn’t speeding and the difference in my speed and theirs and that of the coach allowed plenty of time for me to pass safely. The rule of the vehicle behind having right of way doesn’t appear to exist, but people seem to think you have to let them out first. And don’t get me started on middle lane muppets on motorways who speed up and slow down will nilly.

Fit full length, as you’ve described, and forget for a few months. If shifting starts to get ‘sticky’, squirt some GT85 or TF2 down the inside of the outers until it comes out clean at the other end. The blue bits might look nice but you’ll be defeating the object of the exercise by introducing a potential in for moisture.
I’d add some protection where the outers contact the frame to avoid abrasion.

If you go up the fire road to the left of the Forest Drive pay lodge you can get over to Abercarn and have a play on the old Dragon DH course. OS map recommended to find your way. You could also head over to the Sirhowy Valley and explore. Some fun bits in there.
