There are quite a few ways. E mail me and I’ll detail for you

The red at Inners is slightly harder climbing. Some of the downs are very slightly more taxing but it would be good to get her to look at different stuff. If you don’t say anything then she won’t worry and may just do it all.

The rock step ups at the beginning are a bit of fail for me but if she struggles with that you can reassure her that there aren’t any more.

Just keep an eye on her – there’s chicken runs for most techy stuff and walking if she’s not sure. Sometimes it’s good to just go and look at stuff – it’s a good way to progress. Have fun! 😀

I’m marshalling. Have ridden the course but racing it’s not for me. The ‘Fort’ is steep and techy but nice with a rock drop which is optional.

See ya Sunday! Should be ace! 😀

There’s the cafe down the road with some owls etc and the salmon viewing centre (Not sure if they’re doing any leaping at present) The Bowhill Estate has a country house (Not been) and a woodland playpark.

Just think it’s a bit sad really. Always wondered how the Hotel kept going. The outside certainly needed quite a bit of money spent on it and I had given up trying to sit on their veranda for coffee/beer as every time I went it was closed.
Should be a little gold mine really given the location but would guess a serious amount of money is required to make it so

Have stuck it on my Facebook and a few forums Rik. Hope it takes off 🙂

Nah – not fit enough. Some stiff climbing – I’d be too knackered for the techy stuff. Good route though and it will be great fun 😀

Seek advice but some mobility of the arm and hand whilst keeping the shoulder still(Just gentle arm bends and circling the wrist initially) then other specific exercises later on. I attribute my recovery from early advice given to me by Surrounded by Zulus off here.
I took my arm out of the sling quite early on as it felt better – each case is different. Try to avoid pain killers. Think the crucial healing is in the first few weeks

I’d suggest taking your bike and riding in and out. Good bike lock there’s a sectioned off area for parking them – no bus queue and great fun.

Also take the gondola up when it’s quiet on the Saturday and walk the course. That way you can appreciate it and work out where to spectate on the Sunday. On race day make sure you see at least a few riders come off ‘The Big Doon’ and make your way gradually down the hill in plenty of time for the last few riders – to catch the amazing atmosphere.

Another good tip – get a set of riders list from the official easy up – that way you know who is on track and when.

Oh and if you haven’t got accom sorted do it NOW!

Don’t forget 4X on Saturday night and the trials taking place in the burn

    It’s gonna be awesome 😀

Are you asking as a spectator or are you wanting to ride the course?

Erm – if someone crashes like that I don’t think quickly putting them into recovery position is a good idea – best intentions I guess but he could have had neck injuries

Hmmm – gone all cynical since last nights post – didn’t do the order thing and now I feel I need to look into it more. I’m quite naive sometimes 🙁 – don’t think the wine helped.

Great concept on the one hand but full of pit falls and implications. Will be interesting to see where it leads.
