we all got taken in to a certain degree – think the author thought it was a bit of light hearted fun but it got a bit out of hand. Certainly made for an interesting morning though.

As far as i know big G is living a very quiet life in Edinburgh and we are missing him. He is still lurking around this forum though – not identified him yet but give it time 🙂

Moved to Scottish borders about 2 years ago from East Anglia – the weather is quite different – temperature about 5 degrees cooler and much more rain. This year has been good until July similar to other parts of the UK.

Wouldn't swap it for the world though and am itching to get back from my hols!

You say uplift so i guess you are doing the DH tracks. I've minced these on my xc bike and xc lid but if you are going to go faster then definately ff and some protection. Sounds like you haven't done much DH so id suggest a ff if you can get hold of one – not essential but nicer if you have a tree interface 🙂
