It seems silly to have to sit down to lower your dropper…
I assume a wireless dropper will get round this problem.

Now, that definitely isn’t a problem. well unless there’s something very wrong with your legs. :D

Well. In related news, with my own music playing -some drum & bass, I bizarrely followed a link from another thread which showed me this:
    https://www.tiktok.com/@coco224466/video/6977625126338710789?sender_device=pc&sender_web_id=6995500153873729030&is_from_webapp=v1&is_copy_url=0

And my music went absolutely perfectly. It was great!

but given the points you raise I do agree with your conclusion

Benefits rather than solving problems. No way I can afford one, but those benefits almost make it worth the cash.
But as always, if YOU don’t see the benefits.. don’t **** buy one. Simple innit.

    What problem are they solving?

All those people with bikes without “stealth” routing can have droppers without the ugly external cable; changing a dropper becomes like changing a normal seatpost; seat tubes with obstructions can have a longer dropper, can easily swap dropper between bikes (with the same seattube diameter obvs).. yeah, nothing really.

People care how other people make their tea? How weird (sorry, forgot: :) (just in case anyone thought I cared that anyone cared how anyone else makes their tea))

So how good a shot are you?

Yeah, interesting someone else has the same problem as me. I never adapted to it, cos well, I don’t really go round shooting stuff, except maybe the odd elastic band.

Talk about non-stories. Looks like that’s actually from a “news” broadcast?! and 20,000 “likes”! astounding. Yet here I am discussing how dull it is. I know I know. Life in the 21st century eh.

Never even thought if I “dress” to the left or right. It just fits where it fits.

I believe they call that “nestled” (or did I just make that up? :D )

I’m a left dresser, a lefty writer, a righty batter/hitter, ambi kicker. I think we’ve discussed this before – how I can’t shoot a gun or bow n arra anywhere near on target cos my right eye is leader, but left hand shoots the weapon (not that one).

Too right. I mean who really is called Carson Storch?! Next thing you know there’ll be kids called Chaos.. oh!

Stems, inner tubes (what are they for?!), wheels of various sizes hung around the garage.
Then there’s the 2 boxes. One for all the old “hoarded” stuff and the other for the may use again stuff.
“Old” contains at least 3 cranks, v brakes, some ski bar ends (oh yes), at least 3 square taper BBs, odd pedals, one of which is seized onto a crank arm. Decent pair of DMR pedals but I donated a nut from one to a pleading STWer, thus rendering them useless. And other things.
“Again” box contains cables, grips (at least 4 pairs), chainrings of various sizings and fittings, new XT brake lever and a new road caliper – both ebay bargains bought just-in-case… plus other things can’t recall.
Oh there’s also a shelf with old handlebars, seatposts and saddles. And another shelf with the decent 700mm and wider bars.
    It’s a problem.

I tried it with some different music and it looked like a bloke paddling, stopping, turning, paddling some more. Does ‘The Lady In Red’ make it? Cos I don’t really wanna hear that song if I can help it.

Cheers folks. I only tried the tabs because I was getting the headaches with water only.
I don’t really know what my water intake is. I have a pint glass on the desk all day, which I regularly top up (water, not beer :) )
Thing is, I’m not drinking any more or less than I’ve ever done, but this has only started in the past 6 months or so.
Was gonna try calling docs today

Do folk get brakes that squeal badly in the dry then?

Pretty sure that the only ones I’ve had squeal in the dry were Shimano with a leaky caliper. Leaking hardly effects braking performance, but makes them honk!
Even my SRAMs were squealing yesterday, but I did go through a few hub deep puddles. I don’t think grease will help with that.

manufacturers don’t list the seats-down load length in the specifications

There’s also the hatch opening measurements needed – Wider bars/bigger wheels/longer forks all add up!

…a Passat that is now sitting at 560k miles

Ooh, fingers crossed for mine then! Got 110K on it and I keep thinking I need to change it soon. I really don’t want to though, cos it sits on the driveway most of the time costing me nothing.

Last film I saw before the cinemas shut down last year. Actually they shut down the day after I saw The Lighthouse. It was an odd film. Then I saw The Lighthouse on telly starring Mark Lewis Jones and it was a more straightforward (ie. dull) telling of the same story. I preferred the weird one.
