If you sent them Saturday, they may have still sat in the PO until Monday am and tracking info not gone live until they get scanned into local hub before onward trunking.

I think mine trumps these. Out in the middle of nowhere near Machynlleth, came across a cottage with Jimmy Page sat in the garden, had a nice chat.

    Was it this place?

I once put forks that were too short on my Yeti 575. Wondered why it was a bit skittish and I kept crashing. Then realised I’d steepened the head angle and the new forks were a bit soft so they had too much brake dive.

Hans Rey at Cannock. I was once in the same race as John Leslie the ex-presenter of Blue Peter – Helen Sharman (astronaut) was also in the same race.

Probably a nail. The tyre pressure will drop to a point at which the air won’t force its way out.

I’ll wait until the 29er version comes out. Then pick up an SB95c cheap!

The Shimano M530 pedals are less than £20 including cleats. I’ve had mine a year so far and Strava tells me I’ve done at least 1200 off road miles. They still work perfectly. Bearings fine. I’ve never had any trouble clipping in/out. I always pop out when I crash, I sometimes pop out of the pedal when the side of my foot hits a rock.
Buy them. If you don’t like them, throw them away or sell them to me for £15 posted!

The blurb on the camera tail light says you can now ride worry free. Well, you’ll still worry but at least you’ll have your final seconds recorded for posterity. I just hope someone notices the light among the tangled bits of wreckage!

It’s taken me ages to get around to uploading. The Youtube quality is poor. The native file looks pin sharp on a 40 inch tv at full hd. Notice the image stabilisation, that’s the main advantage. Works amazing compared to the GoPro.
This is my AS15 in action:

The cheapo M530s will work great, I use mine with the big walking boot style MT91 shoes. They are semi platform but don’t touch the boot soles much, the extra bits just aid in flipping the pedal for fast entry and a bit of support when not quite clipped in.

I just read most of the reviews and interviews released this morning. This is just the start of a range of bikes with this linkage. Expect different wheel size bikes to follow. So expect an enduro specific ‘Graves’ machine and possibly a 29er (I was told that August would be my month by the Silverfish rep at the Yeti tribe meet so here’s hoping…). Gonna be expensive though!
They’re going all-out in carbon because an alu bike with that amount of bodywork supporting the ‘infinity switch’ would be too heavy and require too much welding.
It’s not the prettiest bike but if it rides great, who cares! I mean, look how many Orange 5s are sold…

Well, I was not prepared for that! No 29 version so Ahm oot! Looks like it’s a SB95c for me unless I jump ship and go for something non Yeti.
It’s a bugger being in the ‘Tribe’. I can understand why it’s difficult to leave a religion…!

Any ASR/575 alike 29er carbon bikes coming up soon? I have some 150mm 29er Pikes and a set of Flow EX Hoops that may want a new home.

My mate owns this place. An hour’s drive from York through lovely rolling countryside. Not all that far from Dalby as well.

Holiday Cottage near the beach, Bridlington.

Any bike under £500 new will have a terrible suspension fork. Best to get rigid and buy a fork later. Not having suspension means you get much better brakes.
My X1 has a Project Two style rigid cromo fork. I put a fat tyre on and it’s instantly more ‘suspended’ than it’s suspension forked equivalents.

I’ve got a Ridgeback X1 with upgraded cranks (Truvativ Stylo) and cassette/shifters (SRAM 2×10)and an Answer carbon flat bar. That I’ll happily sell you for £400 posted. 19″ frame and it’s a nice British racing green, not the lighter green colour as seen in the adverts.
Only ridden approx. 8 times, very good condition.

I read somewhere today that if you took his victory away from one of the tdf years he won you would have to go back to 23rd to award the win to someone not linked to drugs.

I worked it out one day, I think it was 2005. Back to at least 23rd place. Anyone who had anything to do with Dr Ferrari is a good place to start. A LOT of cyclists!

Thanks. Does that mean I can use it abroad with the internet on my phone turned off or will I end up with a big bill.

    I’m hoping I’m not missing irony here…

Wifi Direct disables normal wifi. Maybe take your sim card out when abroad because airplane mode disables all wifi.

‘King of the Mountain’ does not descibe up or down. It does say ‘mountain’ so it’s not allowed on hills then…? And if a woman is fastest is she King AND Queen of the Mountain?

Strava is for those who want to pretend to race? Hell, I make motorcycle engine noises when doing a technical climb. I’m always pretending to race! It’s fun!

Nukeproof Mega? has 44mm headtube so will take ANY fork. Some cheap frames about.

I made my own. I use a large socket that just fits over the end of the steer tube. I have a long bolt with a piece of tubing with an outside diameter just the right size to fit through the square drive hole of the socket.
I thread the star nut onto the end of the bolt-with-shim, stick it inside the socket, put the socket on the end of the steerer tube and thwack with a mallet. I have marked the outside of the tube with the correct depth so I know when I’m about to get the second star into the top of the tube.
I know I can buy these things cheap but I got great satisfaction from making my own from parts out of the scrap bin!

I think when they run out of stock at the warehouse, they don’t drag in branch stock, they just let it sell out, hence the stock being left in stores in the arse end of nowhere (no offence!). I have an AS15 already and have bought the new lightweight casing. Adapted it to take GoPro mounts etc and a custom modified chest harness. I just wanted the GPS feature of the AS30. I’m actually readying my AS15 for sale soon (any offers?). I want the AS100!

I’ve got a 2013 SB95 with Pikes. One the rear shock I only use C when climbing, everywhere else I just use D. On the forks, I use Trail when climbing out of the saddle or seated on fire roads, Open for everything else.
The bike just feels better in D or open mode front and rear. The Pikes have a compression damping setting that only works in Open anyway so I use Open as much as possible.

Sod Strava, I’m now in the top 25 most viewed male, cycling-related profiles on Fitness Singles! Woo! Get in!
Thing is, there’s no eligible ladies on there within 100 miles of me! Shows what a good profile pic can do tho eh?

POF is coming up with best results at the moment. A few irons in the fire…

I bought and specced my bike to compensate for my lack of skill and bottle when descending. It may be a bit heavy and have slightly draggy tyres for fast climbing but the more I ride it the fitter I get and so I gradually climb faster and I’m pretty sure I’ll never outgrow it’s downhill capabilities.

The ones posted in the cafe are the ‘official’ ones apparently. I was surprised the EWS rider wasn’t a bit faster. Tobias Woggon was there on Saturday.

I’ve tried Answer Carbon and thought I loved them then I thought I’d try Renthal Fatbar Lite to get a bit more width. Awesome upgrade! There’s something about the bend and sweep that just fits perfect.

The blue is good and gets better the faster you go. The blue downhill start and the final blue downhill sections are the best and you are definitely grinning as you break out of the trees into the trailhead area. It flows a lot better than the red. I have ridden it 2 weekends in a row combined with a bit of riding on the natural trails. I’m starting to feel at home on the bike after all my Spring upgrades. I did a 21 mile loop on Saturday and the drive home was weird as I took a few miles to stop shifting my weight and leaning as I approached corners! Defo like skiing! My only gripe is the final section of uphill red before going back on the blue. It’s boring!

I’m back on the scene. Like a very tired machine!
I promised myself 6 moths off but then… created a Match profile just to ‘have a look’ and ended up chatting, exchanging numbers and well, we’ll see.
Well, surroundedbyhills, I’m glad to see our mutual friend is not on the site any more. I’m hoping it’s because she found someone nice. I checked that site again and there is ONE eligible lady within 75 miles. I spent my Paypal balance on Match instead.
I’m still holding out for a mountain biking lady or at least a cyclist of some sort. I cycle 5 days a week and the other two I’m either fixing bikes or thinking about buying bike bits so I need someone who understands.
