Burn time in excess of 3 hours on max setting. Get the head mount version, both come with rubber band handlebar fixings – exactly the same as Lupine lights fixing method so nothing wrong with that!
You'll maybe need an extension cable for helmet mounting so trawl ebay for one.

Syncros Point n Chute 2.4 – lightweight and good mud/snow shedding.

I'd echo: 20" Schwalbe BMX tubes (with threaded valve stem). I've had mine done for the last 3 years and run 25psi with a set of Syncros folding Point'n'chute 2.4s – the bike just seems to roll so well off-road. the lower pressure also seems to help the tyre shed mud as well. I don't get any build-up on the PNCs.
Oh, 1 puncture btw, sealed almost immediately.

I use an o2 Orbit XDA Mk1 and have done for the last 2 years. Loaded Memory Map onto it and I now have a computerised OSGB GPS moving map display that can download the track data to a home PC – absolutely brilliant. The PDA sits in a Peli case and I have made a supplementary power pack that charges the PDA via the USB socket. Runs for about 48 hours at full GPS usage.
Orbit Mk 1s are about 80 quid on ebay.

Just make your own ride up. There are ways of getting in to the greater forest area that don't involve the forest drive…
