I recently purchased the Lego Dinosaur Fossils
They were running a promotion for a free minifig & adidas Superstar set
    lego

But I hadn’t qualified for the minimum spend so ended up buying a Batmobile to get it.

Dinos were a fun build, T-Rex is quite unstable and falls apart easily.
    Not built the Batmobile yet.

Ex-pat and wife do TV interview, 6 of the top 10 news articles on the BBC.

I can only assume the government have quietly passed some law that is reprehensible, and are burying the lead.

Deviation of a theme, we moved into our house ~3 years ago, and about 18m ago we started receiving letters for a name not associated with us or the previous owner (who lived here for 40 years)
I returned the first couple with “not known” scrawled on the envelope, on the 3rd letter I opened it (I know I shouldn’t) and found it was a debt recovery company.
We told them they do not live here, (At least in the last year and a half) and that wasn’t the name of the person we purchased the house from.
They were very sincere and pleasant, thanked us for our time and patience and to ignore any further letters as there is sometimes a delay in the systems being updated and automatic letter sending.

I would call them, tell them they do not and (AFAYK) have never lived at that address.

You do know that furloughed employees are allowed to take on other jobs don’t you?

This, you can go and get another full time job whilst furloughed. Your current employer would need to approve (not hard if it is yourself) and new employer would need to be aware you have another job that you may need to return to with minimal notice (agian not an issue if you are selfemployed)
You can be furloughed from multiple employments (providing you meet the criteria)

I wouldn’t necessarily be put off, as long as the required shock size was quoted and that I could source a shock of that size.

I recently bought a new FS frame that did not come with a shock.

    My usual interview questions are:
“How did the position arise?” (you find out did someone leave, did the company get bigger, or whatever)
“How long have the team been together?” (is there a high turnover of staff, are they set in their ways, will they be accepting to a newcomer)
“Where is a good place to get lunch near here?” (lets you in on the culture, if they say most people just eat at their desk, or there is a small kitchen to eat your sandwich in, it seems they expect you to work through breaks)
plus the usual specific to your role questions.

Take the opportunity to see if you actually want to work for the company (it’s you interviewing them mentality)

TCR TrackLock used to have narrower corner channels to keep the cars on track, which had a t shaped fin underneath that slotted in the track, the straights were “normal” though, so the cars would still fall out if upside down.

BITD when I rode flats, I used V12s coupled with Vans TNT.

Before that I used Odyssey Jim Cielencki, and I probably would still ride them today, if they were still available.

I once tried a Tom Clancy book, probably in the late 90s, and in the 1st chapter it had the line:
    “…Wisconsin bred, entrepreneurial zeal”
I said out loud NOPE, put the book on a shelf and never looked at it again.
    Haven’t tried TC since.

MrsDeth once read the Hunger Games books and insisted they will change the word (I am exaggerating) and suggested I read them.
I did, and they are not that good, certainly declining quality as the tale trudges on.

Depending on what you don’t like about Laphroaig, you shouldn’t write off all Islay whiskys.

It has a strong TCP/ medicinal quality under the heavy smoke, which is fairly Laph. Other Islays are more subtle.
I don’t mind Laphroaig, but currently have a bottle of Bowmore 12, and it is a wonderful experience, smoke is more fireside and bonfire and there isn’t the TCP undertones.

Aside from that and re-treading old ground, have you tried Bourbon?
Sweeter, less intense than scotch, I recommend Makers Mark or Woodford Reserve, both commonly available for £20 (when deals are in place) and are great neat, with ice or mixed (heresy! get buffalo trace for mixing)

One Irish whiskey I have and enjoy is Pogues, seems gimicky but is great.

Lifetime migraine sufferer here (not constant, but for a week solid every year or so)
I tried cutting out most things at some point and none have actually solved it.
A few years ago during a particularly bad episode the doctors finally mentioned anti-migraine meds rather than pain relief.
I had great success with Sumitriptan as an affective medication for migraines.

**I am NOT a doctor, please see yours before trying medication**

Our vet said (on first vaccinations) that it would be best to get him done when he is about 6months old, or when he starts being inappropriate (i.e. romancing everything)

He is nearly 9months, but has been too poorly for the procedure, but also too poorly for humping.
We will get him de-knacked once he is well enough, it isn’t fair to keep them.

It was once put to me “how would you like it if you couldn’t do anything with yours?”

Anti-seize will be fairly important, as you have a steel frame, and most components will be alu (I assume)
Carbon installation paste if yo are going for fancy plastic.
    Lithium grease for other parts

(I preach but don’t practice, I just anti-seized everything on my last steel frame build)
Seat post, headset and BB are the important ones, otherwise it is possible there will be galvanic corrosion and they will (essentially) fuse together

clean, smart trousers (not ripped or faded jeans)
    polo shirt and plain jumper
    plain black trainers or shoes

This is what I would consider acceptable for someone, if I was the interviewer (I am 40, work in an office)

Also, the word you are looking for is “Sartorial”

Best of luck for the interview

Late to the party, and haven’t read the previous pages.

I have an Ooni Koda, (the smaller one) and gas powered.
Its great, gets up to temp in 15 mins, easy to use, just need a little practice whipping the raw pizza in, and turning it.
Takes no more than 2 minutes to cook.

    Recommend.

You do need gas, and Calor have had an embargo on for the last year, however other companies exist and I have FloGas canisters (I got one, and when i thought it might be running out, i bought another, so have 2 on the go, when one is empty i refill but still have the spare)
Not sure you can get them refilled anywhere, but they do a free delivery service and have been swift when i used them

I have a fixed wheel bike i swap between drops, chopped risers and wingbars (aero stylee not DMR)

Drops are for days out/ long rides

Risers are for popping to the shops/ ride to work (its very close)

Aero bars were an experiment / used when i commuted further

Obviously I don’t swap them on a daily basis, the risers are on there most of the time, but if i was planning a Sunday ride (and wanted the added inconvenience of 1 brake and no freehub) I’d swap over to the drops.

I also have 3 front brakes, as they all need different levers, its easier to change the lot

Burnout Paradise has a party mode, where you take turns in doing the same task (longest drift, spins off a ramp, time trial, that sort of thing)
Handy if you have insufficient controllers (its up to 8 players)

I only work from work maybe twice a month, max.
I do not wear a mask when I go in.
There will be only 1 other person, and she’ll be in a different room, we might exchange pleasantries but it would be with a 2m gap (minimum)
I would only be in for a couple of hours, tops.

I’d say pony up the cash and get it done by the manufacturers approved service centre.

(Also, I don’t have a watch that cost more than £800, so unlikely to spend that getting one working)
