Opera – it's just subsidised shouting.

If you're after a compact, the new Canon S90 is supposed to be a beaut. Great spec, high quality and compact.

If it was my money I'd be sorely tempted by the Panasonic GF1.

Could get expensive if you crash/meet a low branch?

Another good place was Churches in Eyemouth. Not an obvious location but good sea air and great seafood.

Half a cold fish finger that one of the kids didn't eat.

We went to Monachyle Mhor many years ago (before kids) and it was fabulous. Looks pretty pricey now but my folks were there a couple of years ago and loved it.

We have a Hilleberg Nallo 2. Can't fault it. Feels well made too.

I bought sandbags on the internet last night … and I was sober.

For the record – I don't like golf either 😉 , but there was a bit of human drama about it.

Good entertainment today (at last). Maybe Lance couldn't respond but it was best for the team anyway.

    Contador looked different class.

His last two putts were sh!t. Nerves at his age and experience?

    Still hope he wins.

Make your bike as simple as you feel comfortable with to ease maintenance.

All nbt's advice is spot on, but be assertive rather than aggressive. Claim your space, don't weave in and out of parked cars – the further away cars can see you the better.

Expect drivers to do the daftest things and you won't be surprised.

Oh and enjoy it! It's so much better than being stuck in a car or bus.

    Is that Noddy's bike?

Or was it Big Ears who had a trike?

Aussies blew it really. Shows up their lack of bowling.

Aye, Boycott tests their restraint but that's good too.

I like them all but Vic Marks and Agnew together are very good and informative.

I have a pair from 1988. Small hole in the knee but still usable.

True Biscuit but there were ‘victims’ and I think some of them committed suicide because of their ruin.

In general though I agree with you.

Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.

    Or some tosh like that.

Surprised to hear about the Armadillos, I had them on my old Kona 26″ wheeled bike and had no punctures for a couple of years riding on glass strewn cycle paths in Edinburgh.

I use Marathon Plus now on my 700c bike, probably for about 2 years and had no punctures yet.

I thought the Ti456 chainstay failure was identified and rectified in later batches?

I remember househusband’s frame failure pics, I have the same frame and it hasn’t affected my view of the frame or how I ride it.

Come on guys tell us what the broken ones are! 😉

I managed to break a Kona Cindercone a couple of years ago but it was ’97 so it had done a job.

It cracked almost right round the downtube before I noticed, I thought it was the BB creaking!

    I remember you. Welcome back.

    Blast from the past.

Anyone remember the very old days when you could see a list of who was online? In the late evening there were only half a dozen names or so. SteveM, AndyArmstrong, Drac etc were usually there.

Yep good experiences with Ubuntu here too on the spare pc.

Have had to keep an XP PC for the rest of the family for the moment as they are resistant to change.

I’d like to see it but I’m in Edinburgh. Not much chance of it touring I suppose.

Just jealous, I’ve always fancied a Nicolai but couldn’t justify the cost and lack the skills to do it justice.

Steel and slack head angle – it has to be the Ragley Blue Pig.

Anyway we need a reliable and impartial review on it from a forum regular.
