    More Suunto love.

It’s been on a few tough rides!

Then I won’t be putting my D50s betwixt the WiiM and my amp as, derrrrr, the output from the WiiM is analogue.

I need to check my spare inputs on the amp and go from there with my choice.

    Thanks.

So…would a WiiM mini be a reasonably option for TIDAL Connect?

    Is an answer  coming?

The output from the WiiM Minin would go through a Topping D50s before the amp.

I’ve just switched to TIDAL but can only play on my audio system via BT. My network streamer supports Spotify Connect but not TIDAL Connect.

For full quality, do I need to get a WiiM Mini or other TConnect enabled device?

I would get the 8x mag equivalent of the Nikon or if not available in Prostaff range pick from another range of Nikon. I speak from experience. For the money they are excellent.

    Cock all.

When I was 14 (ahem 41 years ago), we had blue/great/coal tits, green/bull/gold/chaffinches, siskins, dunnocks, wrens, mistle/song thrushes, robins and even a blackcap once. On the same residential estate as I live now. I have two feeders and the only thing that’s been on it is a big, fat woodie. What happened?

I can recommend a DAC – Topping D50s. Fantastic for the money.

    @smiffy

Thanks for articulating exactly what I have experienced!

Although they did buy my lunch when I visited.

Which i was gald about as a canteen lunch of soup or salad and a basic main like burger and fries is £20!

So it could be a cultural trait rather than specific to my employer?

That makes me feel a bit better.

    Sorted:

With this configuration I set the soundbar input as follows:

ARC for terrestrial TV, Prime, Rakuten and all the TV’s integrated apps (so this is solely for TV and soundbar link)

HD1 to view / hear XBox

HD2 to view / here Virgin TiVo

SONY WF-C500. Mrs S bought me a pair for my bday and they are very good in all respects.

ZK – you should know by now that if you ask a mildly controversial question on here, you will eventually be unjustifiably called out and flamed (see Kramer). It’s STW is it not?

Why not try Nytol. I know they are advertised as a sleep aid but it’s basically an old school (sedating) antihistamine (diphenhydramine). In the past, similar drugs were prescribed to mitigate acute, situational anxiety. Ucerax was one of them.

Certainly less “controversial” than the Satan-borne benzo’s!!

Hope you get sorted. Flying is shit but necessary.

@futonrivercrossing: for diving in a different time zone? 😁

I know what you mean. I think it’s a hybrid “light diver” / beater given it’s WR rating.

When Mrs. S sees Sunak, she sees a snail.

    It makes me laugh.

    He’s a tidgy bellend.

What was the point of Sunak’s rantette yesterday?

He told us what he was cheesed off about but gave no statement on how he plans to deal with it.

This is the tenure of piss and wind.

    @IHN – I had an Omega Constellation F300 Hz.

This has a tuning fork movement like the Bulova you mentioned.

I loved owning it as it was stunning and an interesting piece due to the movement.

The only problem is spares and repairs if things go wrong.  There was one guy I used for this and he badly injured his hand of all things and couldn’t work for ages. I’m not sure he returned to servicing them or if he fully recovered.

If you get one, don’t put your arm under you pillow in bed as you will hear the tuning fork humming way!

Mine was Beds. Nothing to do with being lazy or the wares of Dreams etc.. Just a contraction of my surname.

We did have a mate who went by the name of Yogurt and we never knew why. I hope it isn’t…

Good to see Baltany gaining a few fans.

I replaced the original strap on mine for a Hirsch Kent in deep blue. Sets the face off nicely.

@ElShalimo – what was the point of that post?

“Another people?” what like the Mayans?

We’re quite rightly discussing weather conditions that are rarely seen in this country. Amber warnings for winds over such wide inland areas are almost unheard of.

Let us know what we’re permitted to discuss please.

Barometric pressure is falling at 5.5 mBar / hr at the moment here in Salford. Isha is definitely moving in.

Highest gust up to now is 28 mph from my Davis sensor unit mounted on a pole on my shed.

Acute pancreatitis induced as a side effect of a high dose of  (60 mg daily) of Prednisolone to treat pulmonary vasculitis.

What started as a dull ache betwixt diaphragm and stomach around noon soon escalated.

By 19:00, I was in abject agony. It felt like hot drills were simultaneously boring into the original pain site and now my upper back.

I took myself upstairs and stood at the bedroom window gripping onto the window sill and groaning.

I went back downstairs and Mrs. S asked if I’d showered as my hair and face were drenched with sweat.

Soon after, I vomited. From the settee, I hit the living room wall 12 feet away. That’s projectile.

My temperature hit 40C but we resisted a trip to A&E as it was Saturday night and we feared the pissheads and associated aggro.

After being fingered up the ass by a doctor, they took bloods. Amylase was sky high so pancreatitis was diagnosed.

It took about 72 hours to resolve and during this time, no food or drink!

    Awful experience.

I think the Operator of Last Resort needs to be referred never mind the operators themselves.  Avanti are dog shit. Another Tory government that doesn’t really give a shit about our railways. Rolling stock, infrastructure, timetables and of course the people who need to move the eff around for their families and the collective economy

FWIW it comes with a short pencil for the insert and tighten thing.

So typical of STW responses. Sea kayaking – ho ho ho.

If you can stretch to £250 then I would recommend this:

    https://www.richersounds.com/audio-technica-atlp120xusb-black-1609312822.html

It has a great cartridge (ATVM95) and stylus (eliptical) as standard but the stylus can be upgraded in the future for even better sound reproduction.
