Thanks all for thoughts so far. TO be clear, there would be a written, signed and witnessed agreement (Deed of Trust)? agreement produced.
The idea is mainly to avoid the hassle of telling mortgage co/land reg about the change in interest.
Also for clarification, the amount paid would be part of the equity already owned, not somehow straddling any part of the mortgage. The amount of mortgage is currently 1/3rd of the value, and the amount to be paid is not far off that….

Any disadvantages/pitfalls anyone can think of for the owner in this scenario, other than that any uplift in value she would get 2/3rds rather than all of it…?

It is my understanding that posting allegations or details about an ongoing case or future case on social media would very much prejudice any legal proceedings.

On this basis I’d hope she’s already had the perpetrator(s) brought to justice long ago.

this thread made me think of Hassop Hall (though I’ve never been there). I see it seems to not be running at the moment- anyone know what happened?

an aterial blood clot in my arm. Agony at the time.

in my 5 year battle with heart problems I ended up with a DVT in my calf, then rising to my knee area.
never known a pain like it.

Aye. Same here. This was like having your arm crushed in a vice whilst simultaneously having the funny bone repeatedly banged with a lump hammer…..

Good one you spotted it and got seen in time. Hopefully in not too long you’ll be back up and charging around.
My addition to the cardiacs on the forum is I’m due to have a Loop Recorder reveal device implanted this Friday. Long story too but over a year ago I ended up with an aterial blood clot in my arm. came on randomly a few days after a week’s cycling in the mountains… Agony at the time. Docs still not sure of cause but most likely something to do with heart.
I’ve had just about all other heart tests there are since, including live TOE video of bubbles in blood put back through heart to show no leaky valves.
Anyone had a reveal device fitted? its kind of a permanent HRM and it would be awesome if its Garmin – enabled but I doubt it!

as others have said, that cost might seem high but its hard to get stuff done properly for a lot cheaper. good to try a few different people as suggested and definitely a local recommendation if any known.

I found that the people that did my work were OK with me buying the ‘nice bits’ e.g. basin, taps, bath, chrome fittings etc because you know what you’re getting and cant say ‘thats horrible’ when they pick something up they thought you’d like.
They just supply and fit all the concealed/’boring’ bits like wastes/ supply pipes etc. Good to make them aware of what you’re getting so they know what will or wont be needed to produce a complete job, e.g. brackets etc.
best not to go super internet-cheap on taps that come from china and don’t even thread properly.
Once I asked to order and pay for my bits from the plumbers merchant that the contractor was supplied by so I got advantage of trade discount.
Demo and strip out yourself might save 400-500 quid off the main job? maybe final redecoration yourself could save a bit too?

Back to post match analysis of the final, and picking up on AA’s point on previous page, I do think England were rattled and unprepared for early loss of sinckler. It seemed all those looping clever little decoy runs routines that we saw against NZ didn’t happen, maybe he was always partnof the begining of routine and Dan Cole wouldn’t have been prepared to take same role. On a similar hindsight type note, taking a squad to beat both NZ and then SA is tough, or could that have been done I wonder?

Going back to England arg match, did anyone else notice a bit of soccer-style face clutching on the ground after late or potentially dangerous tackles? This Beginning to creep into rugby is not the way we should be going…
Maybe that was why manu didn’t see yellow

Not a detail, more of the major end sequence that seems to happen in most if not all action /hero v baddie movies. The bad guy is a master villain owning mega weapons /ship/planet /shotguns whatever yet so so often it seems to come down to a straight mano a mano fist fight /grapple /choke sequence for our hero to do away with the top baddie…. Weapons all chucked away for some reason…..

I seem to remember that Pinot can be a bit iffy on descents – didn’t he crash a couple of times downhill over the last couple of tours?
Given that he is now current favourite to win GC, I predict the other contenders doing a late attack over top of final hill to pressure him into chasing on descent….
Probably not until Galibier stage but maybe even a surprise attack over final cat3 today?? !

Cheers all, thanks for thoughts and recommendations.
In the end I’ve gone for some DALI Zensor 3….. mainly on the basis that they also have a rear-firing bass port which may or may not do anything but it sold me.
Fingers crossed the sound will be good

yeah about 25cm for each speaker.

Thanks for advice so far- I’ll have a look at the Richer Sounds ones rather than second hand thanks.

Another question – would a 20 year old NAD amp still give the required output to modern speakers or would they be wasted if wired into an old amp?

    Cheers

thanks- I would prefer better sound quality as the main objective. I can stream if needed by plugging my google audio cast into the jack of the amp.
I do appreciate that all of that, and streaming in general will reduce sound quality some level.

I’d also imagine that the built-in amps would not be as quality as a dedicated amp but I may be wrong when comparing to an old amp.

I may also want to go old school and play some vinyl so that won’t be streamed.

I personally just use my mobile with handsfree kit on the windscreen, as it have it there anyway a lot using the satnav app.
I use Autoguard dashcam app and its quite good I think. Seems to record well and saves each few mins as a separate movie file.
It does burn the battery when in use quite a bit but if on long trips I just plug in the charger.

    @purist.  The pun wasn’t even intentional! 😀

and yes, fair game on a pair of crocs I suppose. At least I don’t wear them in public other than for putting the bins out

ha! yeah, will get something sorted.  I think there’s also a coax-ethernet-coax solution but more expensive kit…..

So long as it’s not been plastered into the wall or something daft,

what, like under the floorboads and then built into the lining of the wall behind a nice shiny new run of kitchen units?

    errr….

In hindsight Should have put coax in at the same time…..

    @oldnpastit.

Yes another option, thing is I’ve had horrendous experiences with other internet providers (BT of course) and I actually have Virgin mainly for the internet anyway – its expensive but they actually provide a good service in my area and actually answer the phone and provide tech support when rarely needed…..

Does anyone who has streaming only ever get the TV crapping out periodically, stalling etc…  that would annoy me too.

Cougar, because the box requires coax input direct from supply from wall, no coax route to rear room

    <span style=”font-size: 0.8rem;”>Carbon framed road bike with a brooks saddle. Why?</span>

I’ve got a nice carbon road bike with a pretty tired looking Charge Spoon saddle on it because the OEM saddle broke and that was what I had in the shed, and I haven’t had time to buy a nicer replacement. Go on, hate me.

Oh no you miss the point, matey. Have just googled the spoon saddle and I’d have no issues with that, my snobbishness is to do with the retro/high tech clash…

Did anyone else think the first Italy try came from a final forward pass? Can someone please explain why it wasnt deemed so? The passer was running flat not forwards so the momentum argument woildnt apply?

concluding that the particular religion has nothing to to with it.

No one sane would blame all of Islams followers for terror attacks.

However, to pretend that there no issues with areas of Fundamentalist Islam is completely insane as well.

This lunatic who carried out this attack would of described himself as Muslim and that he was following the true Islamic path. His branch of Islam glorifies and encourages murdering the Infidel.

Not all Muslims believe that this is the correct understanding of the Quran but a very small minority do.

There are 2,500,000 Muslims in the UK. So if only 0.001% do believe they should kill in God’s name that’s still 2500 potential martyrs.

To pretend this isn’t anything to do with Islam is not going to help solve the problem.

If you’ve not seen these stats its worth a read. I was personally quite shocked to see the percentages who believe murder to be justified or potentially justified…
I know the polls are a few years old and I’d hope they’re a representative sample but Wiki doesn’t lie right?

Have a look at openstreetmap with osm cycle layer on. You can get on the canal at Islington then go along towpath to haggerston I think then south by road. Nice in summer, wouldn’t recommend at night.
What about a Boris bike, now Santander cycles? I do that now and have sold my folder. It’s 90quid for a year’s use ,loads of racks near your start and end points. Sh1t heavy bikes but gives the option to cycle in then come back not eg if getting pisshed after work etc. Use the app and you don’t need to pay by card every time.

I bought a savfy action cam from Amazon, reviewed on tech moan site above. Works well, hd and comes with all the mounts too so no extra cost for those, don’t put a cheap sd card in though, doesn’t work.

Don’t think the ad is that bad myself, but he is a bit of a nob for building ‘950quid’ wheels for a 5min commute. You can walk that in 15-20 ffs!

No one else spotted that the pass for second abs try was also very much forward? Why no tmo request for surety by the ref anyway?? I was saying at the time that Carter had better take the conversion quick….
