Another excellent episode – just gets better and better.

‘Neonomicon’ by Alan Moore (who you will know wrote Watchmen) – really very, very good – based on H.P. Lovecrafts Cthulhu mythos. Extremely graphic – not to be left hanging around the house!!!

‘The Dark Tower’ by Stephen King. Just bought the limited edition slip case two volume edition. The story is superb and the art is staggeringly good.

‘Marshall Law’ is a good recommendation. ‘Fear and Loathing’ is up there with Miller’s ‘TDKR’.

‘Grendel’ comics by Matt Wagner – superb. ‘Four Devils, One Hell’ being particularly good.

Chuck Dixon’s, ‘The Joker: Devil’s Advocate’. Great story and Nolan’s drawing is excellent.

    It’s good. Nice and bleak.

A decent H.P. Lovecraft adaptation, say ‘At the Mountains of Madness’. A cyclopean sprawling alien landscape in Antarctica would require a whopping big budget though.

    That’s a good shout drain.

‘The Dark Tower’ by Stephen King.

Apart from the title of the clip, which conveys a knobbish attitude – this is a bit of a non event innit? – no problems with the actions of either party – unless I’m missing something?

Childish trolling by Guru-Murthy – taking a pious and wearisome tack on whether there was a correlation between violence depicted in his films and real life. Tarantino has to answer this mind-numbingly puerile question and rack over old ground with each new release – something he’s done for the last 21 years since Reservoir Dogs.

… a ludicrous made up story that casts the OP as the aggrieved or injured party, who despite the odds, nonetheless battles on and saves humanity / restores justice to the universe.

ton – get in amongst it at Bath, few nice shlerpers in the various quality hostelries, plenty of sights and stuff to do and then find a nice tea-room for a cream tea. You’ll love it, even if you’re rough as r-soles (it’s not that posh) :D

    or Brizzle as DD said.

I’ve been looking forward to this for a while now.

Agree with NW, but I’ve every faith in Thomson it will be a quality product.

I’m also holding out for their cranks, which I know they’re working on and imagine will be available late 2013, early 2014.

Not into it myself – but hey ho, each to their own and all that.

I have rather unkindly been compared to George Doors though.

A colleague at work recommended – http://www.chipsaway.co.uk/ when I was considering doing the same thing.

He lives in W-o-T and they came out and sorted the VW that he was flogging – & did so v well apparently. I’ve not witnessed their work myself though.

For the strength that he demonstrated in and out of the ring in the face of unimaginable opposition.

Apart from Eye’s Wide Shut, 2001 SO is my least favourite of Kubrick’s work. Ambitious and advanced for 68 but nonetheless boring.

The ‘who did it belong to originally’ argument is ridiculous reductionism. If that were to be taken forward we’d have whole nations displaced and millions of peoples stateless! Lets just be sensible and deal with the here and now … as grum said earlier, maybe look at mutually productive compromises.

Fernández de Kirchner’s been adulated in the past with comparisons to Evita, the defender of the working classes in the 40’s – 50‘s, however in recent months the masses are now showing widespread discontent with general strikes and uprisings in response to a worsening economy with stubbornly high inflation. Perhaps this explains the timing of her ‘open letter’. CFdK’s continued flare-ups are a barometer of her difficulties in dealing with problems at home. They’re nothing more than a cynical and unsophisticated attempt to curry favour by stirring the nationalistic feelings of the Argentine electorate.

Best – Wife got pregnant (by me).

Best – Work finally looks to have resolved itself – despite me making serious preparations for a career change.

Worst – One of my best mates died – without notice. I REALLY miss him.

All the best Devs, Matt & I are struggling x.

And, do they encourage you to seek out and listen to stuff that you’ve never heard of/listened to/outside of usual genres?

Absolutely – I’ve got into a fair few bands after listening to stuff off here, however most (not all) are my sort of music, they’re generally just groups I’ve not heard or taken much notice of before.

    Sisters of Mercy

    The Mission

    The Cult.

PP – yes, it is mate.

The cockpit, which separated from the fuselage, ends up just behind where matey pulls his/her car over.

I pity that driver and the carnage he/she would have been exposed to.

The kraken sounds strong! Has it got vanilla in it?

It’s stronger in the States I think. It’s only been in the UK a few years and the alcohol content has been reduced (I might be talking bollo5 on that, but I think I’m right having just Googled it – the bottle I had was higher than 40%, I’m sure).

Yes it has a very rich deep taste with a definite vanilla undertone.

Also – you get to say ‘release the kraken’!

My brother-in-law brought me back a bottle of Kraken Black Spiced Rum from the States earlier in the year. Nice vanilla / smokey taste.

I’m no rum connoisseur mind – so don’t know what the No. 1 is.
