I'm building mine up next week and will post pics…I'm going Fox Talas, X0 rear and shifters, XT front and cranks, Easton bars, Thomson seatpost and stem and DT wheelset. I can say the frame is lovely, I have the 18" in blue, can't wait to blast it, Afan trip booked in Sep too so bring on the noise :o)

Heavy use of exclamation marks would suggest otherwise my friend but your right and I've been looking on the forum every other day but didn't spot a relevant thread, I'll take another look :o)

Cheers BruceGoose, that looks like the ticket, cynic-al, thanks for the (no relevance to me whatsoever) comment ;-) Don't hate the player, hate the game!!

Don't the On One Smoothies only accomodate a tapered headtube as per the new 456?

Was looking at FSA tapered headsets, what do they mean by "For tapered 50mm /61mm OD headtubes?"

Thanks GHill, any opinions on CK Headset reliability?

Have to agree I like the Ragley too but OO come in good on price. I'm still thinking of picking up the mmmBop for now and sitting back to see how the new 456 Ti rates when released, I'm always wary about being the first in line for new gear…

£799 is the current pre-order price, not bad when compared to the other Ti frames out there!!

and I was just about to order a Ragley mmmBop from CRC before I saw this…..although the mmmBop is only marginally heavier than the 456Ti….

I think manufacturing with a bigger seatube to cater for the adjustable seatpost market probably is the main reason, I can't say whether a smaller seatube = more compliance personally but it appeals to those who want more seatpost choice I guess..

I loved the old one, sold it and regretted it ever since….. Although at the same time On One will be doing the 456 Carbon in White and some other colours, basically they are becoming a pick n mix for bike frames ha ha…. Have to say I'll probably pre order the new Ti, like the fact the seatube is a decent size now too!

Knowing your cycling progression bro a hardtail may suit you better moving forward, still doesn't resolve the reason why your Epics Brain has malfunctioned so many times!! I know a few people who had the same problem on their Stumpy's in 2007 and 2008 and swapped the whole back suspension kit out for a Fox RP23 removing the brain entirely, obviously no use to Epics given the placement of the shock!! Let's see if the 2010 collaboration with Fox on the brain and shock means more reliable shocks, we'll see how Afan goes in Sep bro, bring on the noise :-)

I have a carbon full sus, just sold a 456Ti hardtail, owned a Trek EX8 and a carbon hardtail, if you're anything like me the thoughts will never stop, my wife is ready to kill me, but as I say, better to ask for forgiveness than seek permission :o)

Your absolutely right mate, it is an adjustable seatpost I was referring to, sounds like it works for you
