Since Bruce has gotten cake in it would be rude not to come along for the ride.

7Hz – do you still have room for a bike and rider in exchange for petrol pennies?

Another song from BadMotorFinger, but this time covered by the man in black.

Monday is a great wee film, always makes me want to ride.

Don't see the last connection either but I'll take the opportunity to link The Album Leaf to Sweet Leaf – Black Sabbath 🙂

Here's a few suggestions, hope you find something you like to spend your tenner on 🙂

Just realised the OP is 6 months old 🙄

Here's some random metal(ish) suggestions anyway.

    Dub Trio
    Meshuggah
    Clutch
    Tomahawk
    High on Fire

Sounds like a good start to me if photoshop is what you're happiest working with.

It'd be a good idea to add 3mm of bleed to the image for when it's trimmed down to A3/A4 after printing.

EDIT: changed the link to something more informative

Shant be along this evening as I knackered my shoulder on the Ae downhill track on Saturday 😐

@The Flying Ox – hope you have a wolverine style recovery sir (an x-ray ruled out a fracture for me and I'm waiting to hear how badly I've damaged my AC joint/ligament from my GP)

Had forgotten about that Pixies cover of Leonard Cohen's I Can't Forget 🙄 It's superb 🙂

Here's a last three for the evening before I get completely lost trawling through records/mp3s/the internets.

Ford Mustang – Mike Patton (Serge Gainsbourg)

Get Down Make Love – Nine Inch Nails (Queen)

Bitches Brew – nomeansno (Miles Davis)

Lost in the Supermarket – The Afghan Whigs

    Four – Alarm Will Sound

Love that someone has gone to the trouble of transcribing digitally borne music for an orchestra to cover the Aphex Twin 🙂

If you're after some biking then Ulva is worth a look. Some nice riding over there and great seafood in the wee cafe by the slipway, friendly otter too 🙂

    It's really the drizzle, innit?

I'm up for this one. Will the new sponsor be providing 'energy drinks' for the ride?

Happy with a home or away trip and could provide transport for a few bodies/bikes if we went for the latter option.

Jimmy – No worries about the light I'll get it on Wednesday if you're out.

I've got one of these. It's cheap and it does the job. Not pretty, but small enough to live out of sight.

If you've got a Cambridge Audio amp then it might match this for a few quid more than your budget.

    Soller in Mallorca perhaps?

Was walking GR221 when I was out there but it looked like there was some cracking riding to be found in the area, both on and off road.

Tramuntana Tours [/url]are very friendly and hire out some decent skinny/fat tyred bikes.

Water was warm enough for swimming IMO. Just so you can guage that, I reckon it's warm enough off the west coast of Scotland in Summer too 😉 There's a beach in Port de Soller which was okay but with a wee wander up the coast you can find some amazing, and deserted, little coves to swim in.

Think the Tramuntana folk do sea kayaking trips too and the coastline looks like it would be really nice to paddle down.

Sneaky run through the Queen's back garden for me, then the pub via this weeks epic TBC route… Prestonpans 80/- FTW

respect due to pentlands, tweed valley and east lothian folk actually properly riding bikes.

    cheers folks 🙂

as long as there are bikes, beer and talking bollocks I am quite happy with either 🙂

never ridden the path around the coast from queensferry back to crammond so that could be good, although I quite fancy a wee play on the white hill trails too.

    It's a vito isn't it jojo?

Have a similarly temperamental and rusty one although it had a camper conversion done by the previous owners. Looking at the paperwork it cost them about £390 to get two side windows installed (one is fixed and the other has one of those clamp opening mechanisms)

my girlfriend was impressed by footworks treadmill and fitting service and I've bought stuff from the snowlines part of the shop in the past.

always found them to be really helpful.

Boooo… I was hoping there was some fancy shiny kit I could buy to make it all better

What about a carbon and suspension based solution 😉

I've had the same problem when I've not been out walking for a while. Uphills are fine but the downs cause similar sounding next day pain in my thighs. Keep meaning to try a set of poles, but I've not gotten around to it yet.

    Uzumaki is worth a look.

If you liked Old Boy then Park-chan Wook's Sympathy for Mr Vengance and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance should be on your list to complete the trilogy.

Anything by Takashi Miike is certainly "quirky"… try Audition to start with and if you like that go for Imprint.

Three Extremes made me permanently wary of Dim Sum and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone 😉

oh, and Machine Girl is a riot.

    Mike Patton – Mondo Cane
Emma Pollock – The Law of Large Numbers
Dillinger Escape Plan – Option Paralysis
First Aid Kit – The Big Black and the Blue
Melvins – The Bride Screamed Murder
The Inspector Cluzo – The French Bastards
High on Fire – Snakes for the Divine
    HDA – EP

These are all getting played quite a bit at the moment. If I had to pick a best one so far it'd be Mondo Cane for Patton's sheer audacity.

nope not frozen xcgb (although some of their other stuff is) they're flash pasturised in foil pouches. available lots of places and leave you with hot water for a brew after cooking.
