If a movie was being made of your life and you could
choose the actor/actress to play you, who would you
    choose and why?

Try freecycle, I posted a wanted ad in the three closest me. Got one for free. It had been in a shed for 10 years, was 25 years old and the owners dad had just passed away and they wanted rid off. But it had a Briggs and Stratton engine. New oil, carb clean, new spark plugs, fresh petrol and started second time. Used for three years and gave it to my sister.

+1 for the honeywell CM907, doodle to install, day function ace and the house temp very consistent. best bit is not coming home to a house at 24 degrees cos the missus was cold and turned the old dial one all the way up!

Mine was two wire (& earth). 2 mins with multimeter to work out which was the feed from the boiler and which was the return. Ten minute job to take the old one off, ten to fit the new one and ten to programme. Installation Guide
    Straightforward IMO.

I have just replaced my dial thermostat with a Honeywell CM907 wired 7 day programmable one. Previously the wife would feel cold and turn the dial up high. Now the time zone allow you to heat the house up before you get up, drop in the day during the week and have it warm again in the evening. Each day can be different and weekends you can have it on all day. I am sure it will pay for itself very quickly!

Found a cat in our garden two years ago between Christmas and New Year. Lying stretched out like it was asleep.
Double bagged it and into cardboard box, rang my vets, explained the situation and they took it in. They confirmed that it was natural causes and they read the microchip and contacted the owner.

Used to live in Ealing, south facing garden with the flight path left to right looking down the garden. You could hear it coming WAY WAY before you could see it. Very noisy but amazing. Sad day when it stopped.
Been in one at Filton, never flown in one, but have sat in a Space Shuttle trainer when I had a VIP tour of mission control in Houston!

Charge them a peppercorn rent to have a space then it is clear what the relationship is. Otherwise if they are allowed to use the spaces for free they will assume rights over time.
    Perhaps a quick solicitors opinion?

As long as the OP paid Paypal he should be fine. I had a similar experience last year with an iphone. Seller had 4 go though in an hour on the back of good feedback.
I contacted the other winners and got them to file a case as well immediately. This meant I got paid back quicker as it was obviously a scam.
    All the best

Student house share in Clifton, Bristol in the mid 90’s. Clearly too much time on our hands…
    1) Pound coin + superglue = instant fun. Best response was bloke out walking dog, returned 10 mins later without dog but with hammer and chisel! and a defiant look at the house.
    2) Lots of fun with prank calls to the payphone round the corner which nowadays would probably get us arrested. Usually involving trying to convince the person answering the phone that they should take the proceeds from the deal now stashed in a pizza box ontop of the said phone box. Contents ranged from instructions on where to find the money to very old food
3)The usual pranks of swopping all the CDs in someones collection into different boxes, cling film on the toilets etc, chilli powder in milk that you come up with
    4) our finest hour involved a bit of an obsessive chap whose door was always locked and had his own fridge etc in his room. We ‘liberated’ a dry ice/smoke machine one evening when we were out and then made a funnel out of paper and sellotape so we could blow dry ice into his locked room through a half centimetre gap. Half an hour before he got home we filled his room and waited for him to come home. On opening the door he lost it and started throwing all his possessions into the hallway, shouting for help and wondering why we weren’t helping…we were apoplectic with laughter. Took him ages to calm down. Not sure he ever forgave us!
    Happy days

Image problem = generally un-thrashed examples with Honda FSH can be had for 3.5-4.5k, with 50-80k on the clock. Chain cam engine, mpg in low 40’s, no diesel stop/start issues, drives like a much bigger car and inside is surprisingly big! Go for the 1.4!

I flew back overnight from JFK on Friday night to LHR.
I arrived at the airport at 6.30pm to find my 8.40pm flight was at least delayed by 2hours. Walked up to the check in and asked whether I could get on an earlier flight, hand luggage only, with a non changeable ticket. A bit of teeth sucking from the ticketing person….
Big smile from me, It would be great if I can get on, happy to go on wait list….She said oh I have 3 on list, not including you and only 2 seats left. Oh well thank you for checking I said, another big smile, hope the rest of your shift isn’t too chaotic with all the LHR disruption.
Sir, Let me just check again, phones the supervisor, and a boarding pass for the 7.30pm (an hour earlier!)pops out of the printer. RESULT! Another big smile and Have a Nice day.
got home Saturday morning 3 hours that I would have done. Thank you BA!
