You need to get a Uni Kuru Toga in your life. Rotates the lead whilst writing so you always have a rounded point. Bloody brilliant pencil if you get the half metal one from Japan for less than £8

Upvote for Uni Kura Toga! Fantastic value. Mine is loaded with 2b’s

Reject is the best course of action.
I held out to get my car, from MB, had the saloon tyres fitted (wrong load rating) so had new rubber fitted around courtesy of MB and a few other bits and pieces sorted out with the 12 month MB warrenty (E350 estate).
Sure it cost me a bit over but if it was to be a lemon they would sort out.
    Good luck

I’d be tempted to ask him about his preference at trail centres.

As far as I can see he pretends to quite like the greens, absolutely detests the blues, obviously prefers the reds and in his younger days used to ride the blacks, but not anymore.

Outstanding PP, time to retire..you will never top that!
Surely a contender for reply of the year in the annual STW awards?

Given the OP is camping in spring that means only one thing is certain…rain. In which case the most sensible option is an Ortieb rain hat.

I am sure he can make it look good!

I have used rigifix to hang a 55 inch TV with cantilever bracket and sound bar on the bottom.
They are super strong and create a rigid anchor point in line with the plasterboard. Really pleased with them, not cheap but then a new TV isn’t either.

I think you need subject matter experts here: head over to Chemistry’s equivalent of STW: Chemistry exchange
Their proposed solutions for candle wax highlight some alternatives: toluene and xylene which may not be easily available but petrol was also suggested. What could possibly go wrong? You may need to start another thread : How to get the smell of petrol from my washing machine?

My brother and I used to try and knock 7 bells out of each other the whole time. On one occasion we ‘invented’ a new sport.
We were each armed with a ping pong bat and a dart from the proper darts set we were bought for Christmas.
The game started off with us throwing the dart gently underhand for the other brother to catch on the ping pong bat and then to throw back in the opposite direction once said dart was safely caught.
This rapidly progressed/escalated to synchronized throwing for a bit more skill….and then bodyline darts whereby the bat was now the only thing between our body and the dart.
Needless to say it ended in tears. Those of my brother who almost saved himself from a dart in the chest but ended up with the dart firmly embedded in bone of the middle finger of his hand. It didn’t bleed too much after a very firm yank to pull it out.
Nothing was said to my parents as the consequences would have been confiscation of all the equipment.
    He now lives in Australia!

at times like this its always interesting to see how the media down-under react: Here is the headline from the Sydney Morning Herald.
Eddie came, Eddie saw, Eddie conquered!
and this article ”Rugby league is a simple game played by simple people. Rugby union is a complex game played by w——.”
Does make me smile when they get a little riled!

Took our Springer and 11 and 12 year old girls there 2 years ago. Went up the Miners Path and down the Llanberis Path. Got a taxi back to the car. Only time I have ever seen my dog properly knackered.

A guy is sitting at home when he hears a knock at the door. He opens the door and sees a snail on the porch. He picks up the snail and throws it as far as he can. Three years later there’s a knock on the door. He opens it and sees the same snail. The snail says: ‘What the hell was that all about?

Pebble fan here, Had the orginal and then got the basic pebble time when it came out. standout features:
    1) Charge only every 5-6 days
    2) Great integration with endomondo
    3) Health app inc sleep getting better and better
    4) Silent alarm is fantastic (I get up at 5.30) and it means I can get up without disturbing my wife
    5) Reject calls I dont want to take just from the watch and read texts discreetly in meetings etc
    6) many different watch faces: Use the world time one, during the week at work and change it over for the weekend (would be neat if they could automate this)
    Very happy customer here!

+1 get it serviced we have had random stuff go off with the alarm usually related to the battery. Also whilst removing carpet with a knife managed to cut through some of the cables!!! Would hate to think how long it would take to persuade someone to come out at 8pm in the evening. Also near Reading and use a local company.

    Great post…
My springer has only ever brought back fresh quarry including a squirrel once. She does however roll in fox poo whenever she gets the chance!
My mother in laws black lab once rolled in a rotten fish at the side of a lake….just managed not to vomit. It was close!
