She was in the invidious position that whatever she did, she would be perceived to have failed by most people. Strangely a complete lack of leadership from Corbyn has compounded this farcical state of affairs. I am utterly scared of the current line of future leaders- both red and blue. We are in for a torrid time for the foreseeable future.

Saw Snow Patrol in Birmingham in January. Really loved it. Gary lightbody is an amazing vocalist and his energy & intensity was just amazing.. (prepares to get flamed)
Saw Kasier Chiefs locally in Reading on Weds night. amazing energy and delivery from Ricky .. great gig for a Wednesday night.
Have booked KISS at the O2 with my two teenage girls, Bon Jovi and Manic Streets at the Ricoh later in the year. Taking my girls but not going to 21 Pilots and Panic at the Disco.

What monitor did you go with, can’t work out whether to for 2x Monitors or one huge one? Is 43″ too big? Have graphics and computer recently updated so can run a 4k one easily. Use mainly deskwork, photoshop and a bit of GTAV and maybe reddead in the future?

Met Mark Cavendish at Six Days of London two weeks ago. He was there with his wife and kids. Had a quick chat to him and he was charming and really relaxed with everyone who came up and said ‘hi’ and asked for selfies.

How much would it cost to transport it? Shiply or such like. As it’s not urgent it might be affordable?
I would be happy to chip into a crowdfund unless the STW collective can set up a car relay across the UK to get it from point A to B.

It’d be like me selling you a bike in the classifieds and sticking a big yellow PerchyPanther sticker on it.

So where can I buy a PerchyPanther sticker for my car? I am a big fan myself as he regularly has the funniest comment on a topic.

E350 2011 Owner here. Bought at 85k now at 145k 3 years later. You would very hard pressed to tell it had done that kind of mileage. Bought from a main stealer and bought a service package at the same time which brings the cost to about the same as the independent.

Enormous inside with seats up and down. Self levelling suspension means you can fill it to the brim and it still drives! Its quick, no matter how many people you have in it, huge torque and just eats up the miles. By far the most relaxing car to drive long distance on motorways and A roads. Back roads and b roads not the optimal car.

Would I by again? Yes. Lottery win tonight replace with debadged E63 and the neighbours will only notice when it starts up!

+1 report to the council. I was walking the dog at dusk at the end of last summer on a field that was previously a council pay and play course. Someone was using a mini digger to drag 4 massive stumps out of the fence at the bottom of the garden and then 100 metres into a ditch hidden from view.  He was in the middle of a landscaping project and levelling his lawn. The house is a detached one and must be nearly worth 7 figures. As soon as he saw me they stopped what they were doing and pretended they were just doing nothing….this is always hilarious as they just looked more suspicious!

I causally wandered over (folllowing the dog) and asked him why the stumps were being put there…Oh just until i level the lawn was his reply…I just replied ok.

I took some photos at a safe distance and then uploaded them to the council website and they were gone within 10 days. Dont know whether they were ever fined or prosecuted.

Happy to save you all the hassle and take the tickets off you!!
Alternatively use a park at my house on the A316 west of the stadium and preferably south of the road that way you can drive straight onto the A316 heading west and don’t use stadium parking or you will need to wait hours to get out.

New Workbench. To replace the current ‘workbench’.
Used:
Lots of timber from a pagoda taken down when we built the extension a year ago, used to form horizontal bracing
Builder left two 150x150mm fence posts which were cut to make the four legs
Old chest of drawers
Bought new: 3 x sleepers (200x100mm) cut to 2m long £30 each
Bought new: 225mm and 175mm timber lock screws to hold it all together £30
Bought off ebay: STW approved, British made Record vice £35

Its not pretty but will last me out, all I have to do is sort and clear the rest of the garage now.
Crappy old ‘workbench’ and pile of raw materials

New bench and vice! A bit more tidying to do

Most of my tools are in big red halfords cabinet

Just finished the workbench and attaching my Record 52 1/2 vice to the newly constructed workbench. Its a quick release, Made in England model so ticks off all the STW boxes. Its held in place with coach bolts (another tick) and has new wooden jaws fitted made from some bits of mahogany given to me by my dad (another tick). Just won a second hand dog to fit in the front (£4.20 on ebay).
All it needs is to plane down the top edges a little. One happy man

So just say he fails to deliver…
With the £20 you get in compensation you send 4 more (assuming £5 per delivery), you could quickly get £100 in return (providing you can get boxes and tape for nowt) you could then post 15 (and buy the boxes)
How long until you fill a van or could you make a million?

Thanks for all the advice! Interesting challenge to help out my 16 year old who actively wanted me to help her.
The easiest solution was actually to use a chrome extension blocksite that can be enable to work in incognito and protect with password. It also has a premium version which protect against uninstalling. Not tried that.

@torso yep those are the ones I have been trying
If I cant get that to work might have to use the router and block that way.

@Jam modifying hostsfile looks like a good one, will try that

Just Do It and move.
Spent an amazing 2.5 weeks with the family in Vancouver and all over British Columbia. If the industry I worked in wasn’t all based in Toronto the whole family said they would move tomorrow.

Off there on Thursday. Best deal was AVIS booked through BA! Also get free second driver as I am in the exec club, soon adds u when its a 10 day booking.
Was half the price of going direct. Booked it 5 months ago through.
Also have a policy that covers insurance excess so never have to pay their daily cost.

BA silver card at the moment, have been gold for a year.
Two upradeson BA from business to first transatlantic
One upgrade on AA from business to first transatlantic
One massive upgrade from Osaka to Dubai business to first (that was great!)
Five or so economy to business in Europe (a complete waste!)
Four of us economy to premium economy to Kenya.

Golden rule: join the frequent flyer scheme, travel lots and be a single traveller and dont have any special requests (gluten free etc) as they will NEVER upgrade you as they will not have the meal for you!
When we were upgraded to Kenya my wife and girls had only just been registered but we were all members of the exec club so that qualified or as cited before get on great terms with member of the crew..prefereably the ones driving!
