Whether its fast rolling would depend on your point of view.

I would say yes, however i just switched form a magic mary front/hans dampf rear, to a dampf front and nobby nic rear for the summer, so its noticeably quckier rolling, however a couple of my more hardcore xc mates run racing ralphs and compared to those it’ll likely be slower as depicted on the schwalbe website.

What was the reason for the change, as id consider the racing ralph to be an all out xc tyre and nobby to be more trail rated.

Been looking at this myself, as Dirt Farm looks great, wasnt it previously Black Mountain Cycle Centre?

Either way ive only heard good things, and im looking at going in September with BPW the next day.

Id steer clear of 417 as i didnt find it that great, short runs, not a lot of variety.
Apparently Forest of Dean is better.

there isn’t any way the transaction can be reversed is there once it’s in my account?

As long as its cleared funds then its fine, the only thing that can happen is the buyer reports it to be fraudulent, but its not an automatic reversal of funds.
If that happens then your bank will ask you to provide POE (Proof of Entitlement) at which point you provide evidence of the sale and all is good.

    Tesco Mobile for me.

Been with them for donkeys years now, changed my contract more times than i care to remember, whenever ive had an issue they have always been quick to answer the phone and listen and sorted i there and then.

Also very helpful the times ive been in store.

A man gets turned away from a nightclub for not having a tie, he goes to his car, rummages in the boot and can only find jump leads, he fashions a tie out of them, goes back to the club.

The bouncer takes one look at him, “Alright mate, you can come in just dont start anything”

I have a Leatt Airflex stealth which has the 3do type armour and find it really comfortable and breathable that when im riding i dont always know im wearing it.

I tried quite a few different ones from loads of different brands and found the Leatt ones most comfortable across their whole range.

I would say it depends on what they are riding, but whatever body armour i need for the occasion id go with the appropriate Leatt myself, they do stuff from the stealth which is fairly minimal right up to full on storm trooper and they have the option of adding neck braces if you want to go down that route.

It’ll come in useful 3 days after you’ve decided you’re never gonna use it & taken it to the tip – or is that just me?

This, usually about a week for me but no longer than a month, and ill search for it for about half hour before i remember i got rid of it.

Depends what you want from a side hustle, is it purely to make money or is it to make and sell something as a side business?

I’ll likely get called out on here as people will think this is a scam, but 100% it isn’t and i was equally scepticle when i started a few years ago, but my side hustle is matched betting.

Look up a website called profit accumulator and watch the tutorials, it helps if you know a bit about sports but i have taught people how to do this who know literally nothing about sports or had never placed a bet before.

A few answers to questions that most people ask:

    – Isn’t it just gambling? No, the majority of offers especially at the beginning are risk free.

    – Is it another get rich quick scheme? No, you will not get rich from matched betting, you can however make a comfortable monthly profit which is tax free.

    – Am i being paid to flaunt this? No, and i am in no way affiliated to the website, it is literally just a fairly easy way to make a bit of extra cash (i say fairly easy as you need to get your head round backing and layng bets first and how it actually works)

Currently i do this a few evenings a week for around half hour and i make about £250 – £350 a month, with more time you can make more.

You do need a little bit of cash to start with, but i started with a pot of £50.

I think i have seen this on my XT crank aswell, is it not a little retaining bolt that holds the spindle in.

Take it out and see what happens and report back :)

Good stuff, hopefully see you out on the trails soon, im Bournemouth based so dont attend their weekly ride but get out to some of the bigger events, like BPW and windhill etc.

Try joining MTB Fanatics on facebook as they are all over the place however most members seem to be based around the Portsmouth area, they have lots of days out and events held by members all over the place and are a very welcoming bunch.

Broke my old ones recently which i picked up from a bike shop, replaced with Pedros ones which seem decent.

I will say i dont usually break tyre levers and it was only while trying to fit rimpact inserts onto some new carbon rims that my old ones finally bit the dust.

Interesting to hear a real world example of these actually working and good to see the police actually turning up.

Muc-Off are now doing air tag holder valves for a fairly discrete location.

Not removed it completely, however i had the same issue on mine, i removed it and sanded the inside down a bit to give a bit more clearance and its been fine ever since.

Sometimes i think that we dont realise who would be willing to listen.

I say this as i used to have noone, bottle up a lot of stuff, but im better at talking now then i ever have been.

I am currently going through a seperation and the amount of people who i generally just chat to on a daily basis about mundane stuff, have asked if im okay like they normally would and i have said, actually no im not, ive seperated from my wife and i have no home, and im kipping at a mates and lifes just generally a bi crap at the moment.

To which you then get, an oh thats rubbish response, but mostly people always say, if you want to talk then im here even if its just to unload.

My advice is open up to people you wouldnt normally they might just surprise you.

Looking at the hope website it states stack height as per below.

    CUP A = 14MM
    CUP E = 6MM
    CUP F = 14MM
    CUP H = 14MM
    CUP 1 = 17MM (INC 3 SHIMS)
    CUP 2 = 8MM (INC 3 SHIMS)
    CUP 7= 8.5MM (No SHIMS)

So looking at about 26mm for the 2h which eyeballing the one on my bike is about right.

How much room do you have to play with?

Ive ridden motorbikes since i was 21, im now 38.
most of the time its down to you, ride defensively and you will be fine, ive had moments where i escaped by the skin of my teeth and other rides which went by with no hassle, most of the issues have all been my fault and how i was riding.

Twice in my motorbike career i have nearly been knocked off by someone who either wasnt paying attention or did something unexpected and in both instances i foresaw it, slowed down enough to evade the issue.

I had a very good instructor when i learned, who instilled some very vital bits of info to me.

    1) The decision not to overtake is never the wrong one.
    2) Treat everyone else on the roads like they are trying to knock you off.

After a while hazard spotting becomes second nature, go out and do it you will not regret it.

Havent read all the posts so apologies if this has been said, but people who walk on the path with zero spatial awareness, how hard is it to be aware of whats going on around you.

I walk faster than most people, went to walk past one woman who was all over the shop, i went to go past on the right, nope diagonally across my path, stopped went left and round her that way, no idea i was even there, staring at her phone.

    boils my pee

Love an eBay chancer, just ignore and move on with your life, oh sorry letting the auction run isnt playing the game, i thought this was an auction site?? Idiots.

I once sold a motorbike, bloke messaged me told me he would offer me about 600 quid less than i was willing to accept as my lowest price, he hadnt even seen it yet. I politely declined and told him my price, i just got a message back, “Good luck with that, its not worth any moe than ive offered”
    ok mate, thanks.

i then sold it for more than what i offered to him for, he text back 2 days later offering me more but still not enough, so i let him know how much i sold it for. Never heard from him again.

people are idiots, just do what you want and move on.

Grew up in Pompey (so Southampton is immediately out) but all joking aside i moved to Bournemouth around the age of 15, so 20 years ago.

Depending on area i would say Poole, good location for riding, and loads of beaches around for the wife and lots of climbing about.
Puddletown, purbecks and locally there is a lot, im also in BH9, but would want to be closer to Poole ideally as easier access to better riding spots.

There’s a mummy balloon a daddy balloon and a child balloon all going to bed.

Child balloon asks if they can sleep in mummy and daddys bed, No child there’s not enough room, go sleep in your own room.
The kid waits until their parents are asleep,
They go to the dad balloon and let a little bit of air out of him, still not enough room.
They then go to the mum balloon and let a bit out air out of her, still not enough room.
Finally they let a little bit of air out of themselves, perfect, gets into their bed and falls asleep.

Mum and Dad wake up in the morning, What are you doing in our bed? We’re disappointed with you as you have not only let your mum and dad down but you’ve let yourself down as well.

A man tries to enter a club, but the bouncer refuses as he has no tie, he walks back to his car and finds some jump leads, that’ll do, makes them into a tie and goes back.

Bouncer turns round, ok i’ll let you in just dont start anything.

Wow – you give your wife a present for Mothers Day? Is that because she cooks and cleans for you, or helps you take a bath? So much wrong!

Assuming this was a reply to me, yeah i buy for my wife as my kids are 3yrs old and 9 months old, my 3 yr old helped me pick the flowers from the array available so he sort of had a hand in it.

They are presents which obviously i have bought but are from the kids

Sounds like combo of things, not reading policy wording for one, but i have always assumed penalty points need to be notified straight away.
Never give insurers an opportunity to get out of paying, inform them of everything, they will always tell you if they dont need the info.

    Brings me back to my days working at quite a large insurance firm based in the south;

Guy phones up, notifies of speeding fine,
Me: Ok sir unfortunately theres a slight increase in the cost of the policy.
    Cust: Really why?
Me: Well you’ve been caught speeding therefore you’re classed as a higher risk.
    Cust: I dont speed
Me: But youve just notified me that you got caught speeding.
Cust: Yes but i dont speed.
    Me: Ooookkkaaayyy

    Good luck getting it sorted.

in fact everything NP Horizon is just a good bet
in all honesty, with the advent of composite pedals, when it comes to replacing any of mine i’ll be trying plastic

Got two sets of NP horizons, one metal, one plastic, cant tell the difference when riding to be honest.

Only issue i had was one of the end caps came out during a ride, but easily replaced.
Both sets going strong and have survived multiple UK winters.

That is now tradition in our house, until the kids get big enough to cook her breakfast in bed, then that will be added to the gifts.

Only ever had this twice and both times were on the motorbike, when a car wanted to race me,

Little souped up mazda thing slowed down so much that they were slowing the traffic on an a-road, i filtered past safely, then went to go past them and they put the boot down, still wasnt quick enough to keep up but he gave it a good go.

Another time on the dual carriageway i was happily cruising along, went past on of those horrible pt cruiser things, as i pulled in he pulled out and went past we had a bit of fun on an empty stretch of road, he kept with me until the tonne then i was off.

    Was it stupid? – yes
    Was it reckless? – Yes
Should i have done it? No but i was young and carefree at the time

Why does anyone need a booking system to ride at a trail centre?

Theoretically you dont, but BPW is a privately owned bike park not a trail centre, they ask you to book and sign a waiver for their insurance to be effective.

Never had an issue with hermes/evri however yodel – dont even get me started.

Last week yodel guy drops a note saying “collection tomorrow” went on website saw local depot was Southampton, im in Bournemouth thought nope- reschedule delivery for saturday, nothing.

Went back on website gives me a phone number to message, text them and it was the first delivery driver saying he left a not to collect and its sitting in his local lockup about 2 minutes from my house. Nowhere on the note did it say a location or postcode or anything and the number only appeared once they had missed the saturday delivery.

To top it all off the online chat advice told me the delivery guy had trouble locating my house, how he left a **** card!!

you would think that if the dead person really meant that much to them, they will never forget,so it shouldn’t need a marker.

Why bother with a graveyard? or a burial ground to scatter ashes? As the loved ones will always be remembered anyway?

As long as they take wrappers off flowers i don’t see the issue as it will all just wilt away eventually anyway.
